SMITH, SUSANNA, long time resident of Nampa, Ab passed away on January 30, 2006 in Peace River, Ab at the age of 87. Susanna was born on December 3/1918 at Newhorst, SK. Susanna was predeceased by husband Luther Smith, sons Gerry, Edwin and daughter Jean. Susanna is survived by daughter Alice Klassen (husband Jake), Grandchildren Linda Rondeau, Billy Klassen, Edwin Klassen, Josephine Smith, Amanda Smith and Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services for the late Susanna Smith were held February 4, 2006 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Memories with Reverend Sandra Tuson-Bell officiating. Organist Marion Weber, Soloist Terri Proud. Active Pallbearers Edwin Klassen, Billy Klassen, Henry Rondeau, Dave Dyck, George Velie, Kelly Klassen. Interment followed at the Nampa Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Chapel of Memories.
Thomas Gorman, of Grande Prairie
Thomas James Gorman, resident of Grande Prairie passed away at McKenzie Place at the age of 97 years on February 8, 2006.
He was born on February 9, 1908 in Glenarn, County of Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. He took his education at Meenmore National School and finished his schooling at Dromore, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland.
He came to Canada in April of 1926 with his father and stepmother. They purchased a farm near Sexsmith through the Soldiers Settlement Board. They then purchased the dairy from a Mr. Charles Cook in 1927. His father was killed in May 1928; Tom then sold the dairy to Mr. Willis in 1929. Eventually he sold the farmland to Willie Obniawka and to the Sharkos. He married Helena Schmidt on June 13, 1931. They lived on the farm by Sexsmith until 1940 when he joined the Army. He moved the family into Grande Prairie where they resided until 1946 when they moved to Peace River with the Dept. of Lands & Forest. He was then transferred back to Grande Prairie in 1951 and retired from Lands & Forest in Grande Prairie in 1972. He resided in Grande Prairie for the rest of his life. Tom is survived by his daughters Mary Cambridge of Peace River, and Kitty (Bob) Rigler of Grande Prairie, sons Terry (Yvonne) Gorman of Grande Prairie and Jim (Wendy) Gorman of Black Diamond, Alberta, daughter-in-law Shirley Gorman of Grande Prairie, 23 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Helena, son Pat Gorman, daughter Shirley Ann, daughter-in-law Mae Gorman, son-in-law George Cambridge and grandson Terry Rigler. Funeral service will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (10113-103 Ave) on Monday, February 13, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. Interment to follow at the Grande Prairie Cemetery. BIZUNS, FRANK JOHN
On January 3, 2005, Mr. Frank Bizuns of Berwyn, Ab passed away at the age of 31 years. Her is survived by his loving wife Cara, his 3 children: Steven, Jessica & Brie-Anne; parents: John & Louise; 2 brothers: Kevin (Amy), Steven (Jennifer); 2 nieces: Samantha & Daisy; 2 nephews: Ryan & Trent as well as other relatives and many dear friends. Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 8, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the Barrhead Alliance Church with Pastor Allen Powles officiating. JOHNSON, Esther Karen
We regret to announce the passing of Esther Karen Johnson of Edson, Alberta on May 19th, 2015 at the age of 80 years.
Esther is survived by her loving family; son Doran Johnson of Las Vegas, Nevada and his children, DJ of Victoria, BC, Jaclyn (Roy) Teyke and their daughter Taylor of Lethbridge, AB., Kristy (Ben) Rolph of Rexburg, Idaho and their children, Noah, Rowan and Kohl; Kelly, Cory Gunness and families of Lethbridge, Alberta, daughter Daralynn Johnson of Jasper, Alberta, daughter Ronda (Gordon) Beck and their children Jillian Penner (Kevin) from Selkirk, MB, Kara-Lee and Jenna of Campbell River, B.C., son Calvin (Lorelee) Johnson of Edson, Alberta and his children, Sadie and Kaleb and son Travis (Donna) Johnson of Peace River and their children Barian Gladue Nyles and Emma Cooper.
Esther was predeceased by her husband John (Jack) on April 13th, 1996 as well as her parents Vila and Benjamin Kenney as well as siblings Doran and Calvin Kenney.
Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, May 26th, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Edson at 40th Street and Bear Lake Road (Hiway 748 East), with David Johnston presiding.
Viewing will take place prior to the funeral service.
Interment will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery, Edson, Alberta.

Wayne Douglas Lind, of Breton
On May 17, 2003 Mr. Wayne Lind of Breton passed away at the age of 58 years.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his loving wife, Sharon: and son Glenn at home; his mother, Mrs. Ruth Manning of Edmonton; one brother, Gary and Val; two step brothers, Darryl and Debbie, Blaine and Heather; step sister Lorene and Brian; as well nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
Funeral Services were held in Buck Creek community hall on Wednesday, May 21, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. with Mr. Shaun Micku officiating and interment in Buck Creek community cemetery.
