DUL, JAN, resident of Peace River passed away on December 19, 2004 in Fort Saskatchewan at the age of 83. Jan was born on December 17, 1921 at Budki, Poland. He is survived by his children, Zena (Ed) Wisniewski, Teresa (Les) Close, Jay Levy, Stan (Darcey) Dul, Adam (Debbie) Dul; grandchildren, Christina (Mathew) Caddel, Amanda (Devin) Sears, Kari Dul, Brandi Dul, Micheal Levy (Samantha Barclay), Bob Dul (Stephanie Heydanus), Mark Wisniewski, Erin Dul, Jamie Dul; great grandchildren, Jaden Sears, Justin Sears, Castin Wisniewski, Anna Caddel, Micheal Barclay, Jade Barclay. He was predeceased by his wife Kaziemiera, son Henri Dul. Memorial services for the late Jan Dul were held on Dec 23, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. from Our Lady Of Peace Catholic Church Peace River with Reverend Joseph Thazhathemuriyil V.C. officiating. Organist Mary Smeenk. Honorary Pallbearers Stan Bekier, Mike Dobransky, Walter Zalewski, Robert Hetu, John Zalewski, and Frank Denbicki. Interment followed at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Peace River. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Chapel Of Memories, Peace River.
Sanda Romanko, of Nampa/Peace River
ROMANKO, SANDA, resident of Nampa/Peace River passed away on December 20, 2004 in Peace River at the age of 84. Sanda was born on May 18, 1920 at Ispas, AB. She is survived by her loving husband Alex, their 3 children, Marvin, Dianne and Wayne (Terry) Romanko of Peace River, 5 grandchildren and great grandchildren, sisters; Mary, Nancy, Rose and Victoria, and brother, Archie. She was predeceased by parents, Nick and Anastasia Goroniuk, her sister, Jean; brother, Mike; and her loving daughter, Marilyn O’Brien. Funeral Services for the late Sanda Romanko were held on Dec 24, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Pauls United Church, Peace River with Sandra Tuson-Bell officiating. Organist Marion Weber. Active Pallbearers; Jason Thoms, Bill Wald, David Mazurik, Archie Goryniuk, Boyd Romanko and Rodney Romanko. Interment followed at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery Peace River. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Chapel Of Memories, Peace River.
Sylvester Chymboryk, of Nampa
SYLVESTER CHYMBORYK: A long time resident of Nampa, born October 31, 1924 in Moscow Siding, Saskatchewan, passed away October 7, 2004 at the age of 79, leaving to mourn his wife Mary, 3 daughters, Caroline (Dennis) Shudra, Sandy Martin-Schneider (Keith), Bonny (Gerald) Belke, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Sylvester was raised in Manitoba, served in World War 2, worked for numerous oil companies and worked for R Angus for 25 years till he retired. Sylvester enjoyed the guitar and had a kind passion for birds and animals. Sylvester's wishes were for cremation, no memorial service and interment in Grande View, Manitoba. Arrangements by the Chapel Of Memories, Peace River.
Daisy Foster, of Peace River
DAISY M. FOSTER, long time resident of Peace River passed away on Oct. 4, 2004 in Peace River at the age of 79. Daisy was born April 26, 1925 at Waterhole, Alberta to Norman and Lillian McLachlan. One of 13 children. She raised on a farm at Dunvegan overlooking the Peace River and during her entire life never did move far from the view of the mighty Peace. She was to marry John Foster and they were to make there home at Peace River. There they farmed, operated a dairy farm and became very active in community activities. Daisy was a great supporter of the MS ride, collecting many thousands of dollars and riding in the ride for 20 consecutive years. She was also active in the Gymkhana Club and the Ladies of the Royal Purple for many years. Daisy was a very talented lady in many ways. She was a wonderful cook as many here can attest to from the New Years Eve parties hosted at her home. She had a beautiful yard with wonderful flowers. She could sew anything as many seen the beautiful costumes she wore at many parades. She was also a very talented artist through paintings, drawings and bird carvings. The last few years she traveled to a number of places both in Canada and the US. She greatly enjoyed travelling to the casino as well. She did not enjoy being told it was time to go home when she was on a hot streak as many of her nieces and nephews can tell you. Daisy loved the outdoors and animals. Her passion was horses and dogs. She was never in her life without either. Anyone who has visited her home has seen probably the largest collection of horse ornaments in any home in Canada or maybe the world. Daisy passed away peacefully at her home on October 4, 2004 at the age of 79. She was predeceased by her husband John, her parents and 9 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sister Doris Wagner of Fairview, brothers, Cliff McLachlan of Salmon Arm, B.C. and Harry McLachlan of Whitehorse, Yukon and by many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral Services for the late Daisy Foster were held October 8, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. from the St. Paul’s United Church, Peace River with Sandra Tuson-Bell officiating. Honorary Pallbearers were Joan Wallace, Shirley Anderson, Irene Foster, Ruth Kemper, Tina Martineau, Lloyd Nergaard, Ann Nergaard, and Bob Van Hook. Interment followed at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Peace River. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Chapel Of Memories, Peace River.

NOVAK, MARIE, long time resident of Reno, AB passed away on September 25, 2004 in Peace River, AB at the age of 62. Marie Novak was born on August 31, 1942 in Nampa, AB. Marie was predeceased by her parents, John and Marie Klus, seven siblings, and her husband, William Novak. Marie Novak is survived by her children, Ronald (Theresa) Novak, Reno, AB Joanne (Steve) Bandurak, Creston, B.C., Patricia (Art Laliberte) Novak, Chilliwack, B.C., Natalie (Bernie) Miller, Lacombe, AB, Daniel (Tammy) Novak, Peace River, AB and eight grandchildren, sisters Donna (George) Skwarik, Reno, AB, Helen (Alvin) Daub, Nampa, AB, brothers, Joe Klus Nampa, AB, John Klus, Nampa, AB Funeral Services for the late Marie Novak were held on September 30, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. from the St. Charles Catholic Church with the Reverend Michael Rolph officiating.
