Leonard Eldon Smith of Camrose passed away peacefully on June 5, 2009 at the age of 73 years.
He is survived by Darleen, his cherished wife of 53 years, his children Debbie & Clint Davenport, Cindy & Jim Huddlestone, Lori & Brent Storvik, Angie Sutcliffe, and Karlene & Jon Ash. He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Lee in 1983 and Myrtle in 1993.
He was extremely proud of his 15 grandchildren and their spouses, and his 8 great-grandchildren. He was looking forward to meeting great-grandchild #9, Corvin Bradley Leonard Phillips, who arrived to bless this family June 6, 2009.
Len is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Shirley & Andy Bertholet, his Aunts Myrna Lehr, Annie Oliver, and Pat Smith, Uncles Bill Smith and Everett Oliver, sisters-in-law Mary Halbersma, Shirley Bennefield, Grace Lemay, Verna Longman, and by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Weber's Mount Pleasant Chapel, Camrose. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Kidney Foundation.
Evert Grue

Evert Grue of Camrose passed away on June 21, 2009 at the age of 90 years. He is survived by his loving wife Ruth; four sons Barry (Lin), Ron (Vivianne), Charles and James (Dawn); two daughters Anne (Cal) Lyseng and Sonja (Don) McMillen; 21 grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren; two brothers Edwin (Pearl) and Marvin. Evert was predeceased by two sisters Bethora Larrivee and Doris Peterson.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Scandia Lutheran Church in Armena, Alberta. Interment will follow at the Scandia Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Battle River Community Foundation, Scandia Lutheran Church or the charity of one's choice.
Doris Olson

Doris Mae Olson of Camrose, Alberta formerly of Provost, Alberta passed away on June 11, 2009 at the age of 89 years. She is survived by one son Lorne (Julie), two daughters Lorna (Clint) and Joyce (Rick).
She was predeceased by her husband Eddie and one infant son Ronald.
A funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Camrose, Alberta. An interment service has taken place at the Provost Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to The Gideons or Canadian Lutheran Bible Institute or to the charity of one's choice.
Helen Hickman

Helen Hickman of Camrose passed away on June 7, 2009 at the age of 88 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her family, Doris (Jim) Carey and Margaret (Marvin) Weber, 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, one half-sister Ethel (Ed) Bertsch, numerous relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Richard, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
A funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at Century Meadows Baptist Church, Camrose with Pastor Mark Morris officiating. Interment followed at the Century Meadows Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be given to the Century Meadows Baptist Church or the Gideons.
The family would like to thank all of the wonderful staff at St. Mary's Hospital for their compassion and care of Helen, Pastor Mark Morris for his ministry to Helen over many years, the ladies at Century Meadows for providing lunch and all who supported us during this difficult time. Thank you for the donations made in Helen's memory.
Judith Young

Judith Young of Camrose passed away on June 7, 2009 at the age of 56 years.
She is survived by her loving husband George, one son Jamie, one grandson Nate, one brother Marvin Swanson, one sister-in-law Dorothy Swanson, three sisters Arla, Bonnie (Henry) Liebl and Betty, numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Judith was predeceased by her parents Alvin and Mabel Swanson.
A funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 11, 2009 at Weber's Mount Pleasant Chapel. Interment at Camrose Cemetery followed the service. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
Lori Elliot

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Lori after a brief battle with cancer.
She leaves behind her loving husband Randy, he is joined in his sorrow by their 2 children Darren (Amanda) and Steffanie and 1 grandchild Hunter. She is survived by her parents Helen and John Palmar; 2 brothers Tim (Debbie) and Craig (Kelly) all of Edmonton; she will be dearly remembered by her brother-in-law Mike Elliott (Jan) of Oshawa; she will be missed by the rest of her family and dear friends, too numerous to list but not forgotten.
A funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 11, 2009 at the Tofield Funeral Chapel, 5107-49 street. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Tofield Health Centre Foundation.
