Marie Elva Olson was born April 18, 1920 at Camrose, AB. She passed away June 25, 2009 in Viking at the age of 89 years.
She is lovingly remembered by her children Elaine (Rueben) Grinde and Maynard (Debbie); five grandchildren Kent (Ruth) Grinde, Karen (Barry) Lehmann, Travis Grinde, Brett and Kristina Olson; great grandchildren, Chyanne, Morgan, Joshaua and Gavin; sister Evelyne Stauffer; and two brothers Leonard (Wendy) Lawson and Wayne (Janice) Lawson; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Marie was predeceased by her husband Russell, parents Herman and Grace Lawson, two sisters Nina Moen and Vivian Goeglien and friend Anton Knudslien.
A Memorial Service was held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at Holden Community Hall. Memorial Donations may be made to the Holden Cemetery, S.T.A.R.S. or to the charity of one's choice.
Otto Pipke

On Tuesday June 23, 2009 Otto Pipke of Camrose, formerly of Holden, passed away peacefully at the age of 82 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lilli Pipke; son Richard (Wendy); grandchildren Kelly Korpesio, Neil (Allie) Korpesio and Joani (Roch) Labelle; Otto will also be missed by his great-grandson Nathaniel Labelle as well as extended family and community friends.
He was predeceased by his daughter Doris Korpesio and his grandson Chad Pipke in 2003.
A public memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m., at the Weber's Mount Pleasant Chapel in Camrose, Alberta. Interment took place at the Camrose Valleyview Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. Otto's family appreciates and is thankful for your support.
Edith Enright

Edith Mildred Enright of Camrose (formerly of Rosalind, Alberta) passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital on June 22, 2009 at the age of 90 years.
Edith was born at her grandparetns' home March 4, 1919 at Rosalind, the eldest child of Stanley and Anna Page and the first grandchild of Conrad and Bertha Schweer. Her family lived in the Kelsey area where she attended school through grade 6. In 1932, they moved to Hoadley, Alberta where she continued school and lived until she went out to work at age 18. It was later when she was working in the Rosalind area that she met and married Gerald Enright in 1942. Edith and her husband raised their family Marion (Leonard) Zimmer, Norma (Larry) Wolbeck, Reg (Elly) Enright and Lorne (Carol) Enright on the family farm. Shortly after Gerald's passing, Edith moved to Camrose in 1977 where she resided on her own until the time of her passing. Edith was a strong community supporter and had a wide variety of interests.
Edith is survived by her 4 children and their spouses, 18 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren as well as a large extended family and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband Gerald in 1976, an infant great-grandchild (1995), her parents Stanley and Anna Page, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
She will be forever missed and cherished by her family and friends.
A prayer vigil was held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 25, 2009 at Weber's Mount Pleasant Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 26, 2009 at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, Camrose with Father Eduardo Escober as Celebrant. Interment followed at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Rosalind. Memorial tributes may be made in Edith's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of one's choice.
Elsie Gray

Elsie Gray of Tofield, Alberta passed away in Lamont, Alberta on June 22, 2009 at the age of 81 years. She is survived by her 2 sons Gary and Ken (Carol); 2 daughters Dixie (Dwayne) Martens and Diane Gray; 1 grandson Craig Martens; 2 brothers Ralph (Myrtle) Tiedemann and Art (Norma); 2 sisters Vera (John) Heitman and Helen Tiedemann; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents and 1 brother Albert Tiedemann.
A funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 29, 2009 at the Bardo Lutheran Church, Tofield, Alberta. Interment has taken place at the Tofield Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
Magdaleen Elizabeth Slabbert

On Monday, June 22, 2009 Mrs. Magdaleen Slabbert of Camrose, Alberta passed away at the age of 54 years. She is survived by her husband Willem and her three children Wilme (Stephen), Jaco (Amy) and Will (Jennie). She also leaves behind her two grandchildren Semay and Kingston.
Magdaleen was predeceased by both her parents and two of her brothers. She will be missed but we all know she is in a better place.
A celebration of Magdaleen's life was held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Camrose, Alberta. Interment has taken place at the Camrose Valleyview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the S.O.S. Children's Villages Canada.
