Rupert George Joseph Brodeur was born on September 2, 1927 at Wakaw, Saskatchewan; he passed away at his home in Tofield, Alberta on July 26, 2009 at the age of 81 years.
He is survived by his loving wife June; one daughter Gayle Worden; one granddaughter Darlie (Dennis) Krueger; one brother Andre (Erené) Brodeur; one sister Teresé Gorieu; many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends; and his cat Mitsy.
Rupert was predeceased by two brothers Leo & René.
Mass of Christian Burial has taken place at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in Tofield, Alberta. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
Marcien Paradis

Marcien Paradis of Tofield, AB passed away on August 26, 2009 at the age of 70 years.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters; his loving children Shelley (Ches), Lorrie, Debbie, Bradley; and his adoring grandchildren Jordan (Danielle), Tanner, Amber, Katelyn; Marcia; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at the Tofield Funeral Chapel at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 31, 2009.
Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Ruben Spruyt

Baby Ruben Spruyt of Kingman passed away at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta on July 23, 2009 at the age of 4 hours and 50 minutes.
He is survived by his loving parents Matthew and Alissa Spruyt; one sister Sierre; grandparents Fillet (Adrian) Spruyt and Lois (Kerry) Hammond; uncles Dalen (Carrie) Haugen, Evan Haugen, James Spruyt and Keith Spruyt; aunts Nadine Haugen and Morgan Spruyt; and numerous relatives.
Ruben was predeceased by his grandfather Terance Haugen and one aunt in infancy.
A private family service has taken place on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at the Tofield Alliance Church. Interment has taken place at the Kingman Cemetery. Donald Horricks

Donald William Horricks of Tofield, was born at Westlock, Alberta on September 16, 1927. He passed away on July 19, 2009 in Tofield, at the age of 81 years.
He is survived by his wife May; two daughters Jude Yeo and Lynn (Ed) Bushie; three grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one great-great grandson; one brother Robert (Edith); and one sister Mary Ash.
He was predeceased by one grandson Shane Yeo.
A memorial service was held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at the Tofield Funeral Chapel (5107-49 Street). Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
Thelma Dorin

Thelma Dorin was born in Springdale, Arkansas on November 28, 1915. Her family moved to Drumheller in December of the same year. In 1963 she moved to Camrose where she remained until her passing on July 15, 2009.
She is survived by her sons Bob Moffatt and Owen Moffatt of Drumheller and daughter Maureen (John) Gray of Edmonton; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one sister Mary of Prince George, B.C. Thelma was predeceased by her parents George and Mary Scown, her husband John, two brothers, four sisters and grandson Michael Moffatt.
Thelma was married to John Dorin in 1973 and they enjoyed 25 years of travel, dancing at the Senior Centre and sharing time with friends and family. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading and her association with the United Church until her ill health restricted her.
A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 20, 2009 at the Camrose United Church, Camrose, Alberta. Cremation has taken place; inurnment services were held at Wetaskiwin Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson's Society of Alberta, Room 3Y18, Edmonton General, 11111 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5K OL4.
Bert Pomfret

Bert Pomfret of Tofield, formerly of Calgary, passed away suddenly on June 26, 2009 at the age of 61 years.
He is survived by his loving wife Myrna, two sons Cory and Kyle, three grandchildren Cody, Carleigh and Logan, and one sister Margaret (Mel) Solvason. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Bud.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at the St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 5523 - 50 Street, Tofield. Memorial donations may be given to the S.P.C.A.
