George McMann of Tofield, AB passed away on November 24, 2010 at the age of 89 years. He was predeceased by his wife Hazel in 1984. George is survived by two loving daughters Cheryl (Myron) Good and Sharon (Randy) Sutton; two grandchildren Dawn and Kevin; three great grandchildren Emily, Kaylee and Leo.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 27, 2010 at the Tofield Alliance Church, 5907 - 49 St., Tofield. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Tofield Alliance Church Capital Fund, Tofield Health Centre or charity of one's choice.
Marian Cole

Marian passed away on December 20, 2010 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Camrose. Marian was born on March 25, 1932 in Unity, Saskatchewan. She was raised on the family farm along with her sister and three brothers.
Left to cherish her memory her husband of 50 years, Larry; her son Terry (Bonnie) Cole; daughter Melody Lommer; grandson Cole Lommer; granddaughter Tera (Wayne) Glass; great- granddaughters Hayley and Hannah; great-grandson Justin; her brother Mike (Ann) Bretzer and extended family and friends.
She is predeceased by her parents John and Elizabeth Bretzer; her sister Margaret Fox; and brothers Lib and Adam Bretzer.
Marian was a member of the CWL. She loved gardening, flowers, nature, reading and the family dogs over the years. Marian often said in the last few months that the best thing she ever did was have a family. Her family was the most important thing in her life and she treasured every family visit.
Marian will be missed by her family and friends and will be remembered for her courage and concern for others. Her strong faith, the love of her family and the care and concern of her visitors and nurses, helped her to remain very brave to the end.
A memorial service will take place at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 23, 2010 at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, Camrose, Alberta. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Mary's Hospital Chapel Fund or to Palliative Care.
Barbara Gladue

Barbara Gladue (Dunham) passed away at the Leduc Hospital on December 16, 2010 at the age of 90 years. She was born at Leominister, England on January 18, 1920 to Harold and Katie Dunham.
She was part of the land army in England from September 25, 1939 to June 13, 1945. She immigrated to Canada in 1947 with her parents, brothers Arthur and Ralph and sister Kathryn to join brother Frank. They began farming in the Hastings Lake area. On July 2, 1953 she married Albert Gladue and moved 1/2 mile west to a new farm and home. Barbara resided there until May 2006, then moved to Silver Birch Lodge, Sherwood Park, Alberta. This was her home which she thoroughly enjoyed until October 2010 when she was admitted to the hospital.
Barbara is survived by her sister Kathryn Peterson of Powell River, B.C. and her children Michael (Janice), Kerry (Leanne), Karen (Andrew), Holly and their respective families. Nephews and nieces Guy, Vivian and Carol of Australia and Leslie of Spain. Sister-in-law Corrine Rowland of Tofield and niece Theresa (Derrill) Reil of Tofield and their family. Brother-in-law Arbie Lawrence of St. Helens, Oregon, niece Judy (Ken) Cox of Kenai, Alaska and their families, nephew Scot (Sue) Lawrence of Portland, Oregon and their families, nephew Dave (Jill) Lawrence of Columbia City, Oregon and their families. Sister-in-law Kathleen Grummett of Sherwood Park, AB and niece Debbie (Dave) Lukawenko of Sherwood Park, AB. Also special nephews and nieces Trevor Teed, Russell Teed, Joni Walker and Sandra Teed and their families.
She was predeceased by her husband Albert, sister Joan; brothers Frank, Arthur and Ralph; sister-in-law Joan Dunham; brother-in-law Arthur Rowland; sister-in-law Bertha Lawrence and brother-in-law Lloyd Grummett.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 4, 2010 at the Tofield Funeral Chapel. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to STARS or the Stollery Children's Hospital.
Connie Myers

Connie Myers of Camrose, Alberta was born on July 26, 1955 in Camrose. She passed away on December 17, 2010 in Camrose at the age of 55 years.
She is survived by her daughters Susan and Nancy; grandchildren Jordan, Jeremy, Sadey, Dinessa, Hayley and Zarrah; two brothers and three sisters; numerous children, grandchildren, family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Lyle.
Connie's first daughter Susan was born in 1981 and Lyle and Connie were married on July 10, 1982. Their second daughter Nancy was born in 1984. The family moved to New Norway and resided there. Lyle passed away in 1998 and in 2000 Connie moved back to Camrose. She enjoyed crafts, games and playing cards with her friends and family.
A loving wife and a wonderful mother, Connie will be sadly missed but will forever remain in our hearts.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Weber's Mount Pleasant Chapel, Camrose. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
William "Billy" Miskew

Billy Miskew of Tofield, AB passed away on December 22, 2010 at the age of 84 years. He is survived by his loving wife Lucy; two sons Brian (Karen) of Sherwood Park and Allan (Deanna) of Tofield; three daughters Debbie Williams of Edmonton, Wendy (Jim) Laverick of Tofield and Diane (Brian) Drew of Leduc; nine grandchildren Dayna Morris and Terry Jones, Michael and Paul Miskew, Mikayla, Kylie and Lincoln Miskew, Tyler and Daryn Drew; three great grandchildren Taylor and Carson Morris, and Sierra Jones; two sisters Mary Bocker of White Rock, B.C. and Elizabeth Schacher of Tofield; numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Billy was predeceased by his parents Samuel and Pearl Miskew.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at The House Church, 5830 - 51 St., Tofield with Pastor Calvin Andringa officiating. Interment will follow at the Tofield Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
