CASKEY - Walter Ernest of Calgary, passed away at the Mayfair Care Centre on September 8, 2006, at the age of 91 years. Walter will be lovingly remembered by: his children, Francis Caskey of Stettler, AB, Beth Caskey Caskey of Duncan, BC, Marlene Caskey of Nanoose Bay, BC, Janice Caskey (Bob Long) of Calgary; daughter-in-law, Janet Caskey of Calgary as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife Marion; his second wife Hildegard and his son Donald. Walter was born on March 5, 1915. He was a teacher, and was active in Pleasant Heights United Church and the Kerby Centre. A Memorial Service will be held at the Southwood United Church (10690 Elbow Dr. SW) on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. BRCIC - Elizabeth “Betty” Emily of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Hospital on September 19, 2006, at the age of 69 years. Betty will be lovingly remembered by her children, Brent Brcic of Okotoks and Jennifer (Kim) Garvey of Calgary; six grandchildren; Arturo Brcic and brothers Ernest Kuntz and Charles Kuntz. She was predeceased by her sister Ann Fieldhouse and brother Donald Kuntz. Betty was born in Empress, Alberta but lived out her life in Calgary, Alberta. She loved to read and enjoyed sitting in the garden with her flowers. Betty was a loving, caring person and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. A Private Memorial Service was held. DAUB - Margaret Grace Daub (nee: Maxwell), longtime resident of the Inglewood area, passed away on September 25, 2006 after a brief stay in the hospital. Margaret was born in Blackie, AB on August 14, 1918 and married Clayton Daub on February 12, 1942. She was a loving Mother to her three children: Audrey (Robert) Parr, Allan (Sandi) Daub and Arlene (Brian) McCrae. Margaret was an amazing Grandma to grandkids: Bryan (Barb) Parr, Cathy Parr, Rayella Parr, Carrie (Dan) Sokoloski, Lisa (Sheldon) Pierog, Laurie (Bill) Coburn, Stacy (Lance) Bushie, Cory and Kara McCrae; great grandchildren: Cindy Parr, Shelley (Keith) Marshall, Amanda Parr, Rebecca Parr, Michael, Mark and Matthew Parr, Brandon, Brett and Kalen Sokoloski, Devyn and Ashlyn Pierog; and great great grandchildren: Keegan and Karissa Marshall. She was predeceased by her husband Clayton in 1985, grandson Edward in 1972, her mother May Maxwell in 1983, her father Roy Maxwell in 1980 and her brother Arthur Maxwell in October, 2003. William “Allan” Durie
1917 - 2006
It is with great sadness that the family of Allan announces his passing on Friday, October 6, 2006. This kind and considerate father, grandfather, brother, uncle and father –in-law will be missed at family gatherings and dinners but his fine watercolor paintings will always remind us of him and his artistic soul. He is survived by his daughters Heather (Mathison) and Debbie (Durie), his granddaughters Julia and Allison, sons-in-law Ron and Darcy, brothers George and Robert and sister Shirley. Allan was predeceased by his wife Dorothy and he missed her terribly. A Private Family Funeral will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2006. BERDAHL - Ivy Dorothy

Ivy Dorothy Berdahl, passed away at home on October 11, 2006, at the age of 84 years. Ivy will be lovingly remembered by: her children, Allan Gerhard (Janet) Berdahl of Calgary and Cathy (David) Schumacher of Ponoka; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by: her brother George (Valerie) Smith; sisters Marion (Vic) Allan, Jeanette (Neil) Harrison and Betty Robertson. Ivy was predeceased by her husband Albin, parents Ralph and Ada Smith, sister Edith Brown and brothers Jack and Ralph. Ivy was born in 1922 in London, Ontario. She met Albin during the war, they married on August 28, 1943 and moved to Calgary. She was a long time resident of Capital Hill where they raised their two children. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, knitting, crocheting and doing puzzles. Tuffy, her toy poodle was her faithful companion. A Funeral Service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church (1903 - 19 Ave N.W.) on Monday, October 16, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. METZGER - Archie Metzger, of Calgary, AB,beloved husband of the late Alice Metzger, passed away peacefully at the Drumheller Health Centre on April 13, 2006 at the age of 80 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his two sons: Don (Joan) and Brian (Helen-Anne) ; four grandchildren: Marty Metzger, Vicky Penner, Melissa (Brent) Rosling and Melanie Metzger; four great grandchildren: Justine Penner, Scott, Cole and Taryn Metzger; two sisters: Alma (Steve) Homeniuk and Audrey (Ray) Morrish; one brother Bob Metzger; very special friend Diane Woltmann and numerous other relatives. Archie was born in Carbon, AB on September 1, 1925 and farmed there until he and Alice retired to Calgary in 1991. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and enthusiastically participated in all of Evergreen Senior's activities. Archie enjoyed golfing, bowling, music and drinking coffee at Tim Horton's. Neal Inkster
Surrounded by loving family, Neal passed away peacefully at the Rosedale Hospice on April 23, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 73. Neal will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Gladys; his children, Terry (Larry); Brenda (John); Darcy (Tina); his grandchildren, Jodie, Darryl, Lindsay, Lauren, Meghan, Michelle and Amanda; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, too many to mention. Neal was born and raised on a farm near Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. He moved to Calgary with his parents and three brothers in 1950. Neal worked with the City of Calgary for 33 years; served on the Anglican Church vestry for 22 years and was a member of the Foresters (I.O.F.) for 46 years where he eventually served as High Chief Ranger. Neal had a huge heart and gave his time generously to others. He was an avid curler and will be sorely missed at many of the curling clubs in Calgary. A Funeral Service will be held at St. George's Anglican Church (244 Templemount Drive N.E., Calgary, AB, T1Y 6G5) on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dean Houghton officiating and will be followed by a reception. PROCTOR - Arthur Frederick beloved husband of Mrs. Frances Proctor of Calgary, passed away at the Agape Hospice on April 26, 2006 at the age of 70 years. Arthur will be lovingly remembered by the love of his life his granddaughter, Mariah Holland, his children: Ida Leask of Barr Head, Arthur (Marg) Proctor of Edmonton, Merle (Kim) Proctor of Calgary, Francine (Larry) Kreba of Calgary, and Elana (Mark) Holland of Calgary; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Hazel Ostler and Louise (Reuben) Hayes, brother Larry (Shirley) Proctor and numerous other family members and friends. Arthur was predeceased by his parents, two sisters, one brother and two nieces.
