Lyla leaves behind her son Stewart Leslie; daughters-in-law, Teryle Leslie and Donna Leslie; grandchildren, Kevin, Shannon, Shawna, Tyson, Travis, Tyler, Jordan and Kendall; great-granddaughter Jade; step-son Ed (Rosalie) Donner and their children, Lori, Lorne and Trevor; step-daughter Dawn (John) Daviduyk and their children Nicole and Marilyn.
Lyla will also be missed by her sister Hazel (Ted) Schlorff of Lac Du Bonnet, Manitoba.
Lyla was preceded in death by her husband Chester in 1967 and her son Thomas in 1991.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 12, 1997 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Name Catholic Church, 2223 - 34 Street S.W., Calgary.

GORDA -- George Gorda of Ponoka passed away on November 6, 1997 at the age of 72 years.
He is survived by his daughter Janet (Jeff); and grandson Peter, all of Calgary; two brothers and eight sisters.
George was predeceased by his wife Kay and a sister.

KENDRICK -- Norman Leonard (Len) Kendrick, beloved husband of Joan Kendrick, passed away peacefully at home, in Calgary on November 8, 1997, in his 70th year.
Besides his wife Joan of forty years, he is survived by his sons, Jeffrey, Wayne, Stephen and Glenn; as well as his sister Betty (Don) Neat; and granddaughters, Heidi and Trisha.
He was an employee of I.B.M. for thirty-four years, in Toronto and North Bay, Ontario.

KRAATZ -- Florence Harriet, passed away peacefully in the arms of her family, on Thursday, November 6, 1997 of cancer.
She was born at Strathmore, Alberta on July 5, 1920.
She was predeceased by her husband Herbert in 1990.
She is survived by her son Marvin, his wife Shirley, their children, Clayton and Leslie (Dan), and great-granddaughter Kayla, all of Calgary. Survived also by son Alton, his wife Marrianne of Brentwood Bay, their children, Rebecca of Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Matthew (Tiffany) of Canmore, Alberta; also sister Helen (Bill) Mallinson; and sister-in-law Grace Allison of Sundre, Alberta; as well as dearly loved nieces and nephews; also brother-in-law Cliff (Dolly) Hawthorne of Summerland and their children.
Florence lived in Summergate Village, Sidney, where she had many special friends, especially her Saturday night card-playing friends.
She was a milliner, a fine seamstress, the best homemaker, a Tai Chi practitioner, a gambler, taxi service to her friends, amongst other great accomplishments.
She spent the last three months at the home of her son and daughter-in-law in Brentwood Bay.

LAMONT -- Kathleen N. Lamont passed away suddenly on October 20, 1997 at the Dufferin Lodge in Nanaimo, B.C.
A long time resident of Calgary, she is sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son Bob (Carol) of Edmonton; daughter Anne (Rob) of Nanaimo, B.C. and daughter Kathy of Ponoka; grandsons, Ken (Andi) of Vancouver and Pat (Barb) of Edmonton.
She also leaves several relatives in White Rock, B.C. including her sisters, Margie Turner and Molly Price. Kay was predeceased by her parents, William and Blanche Mulholland and her brothers, Cecil and Wally.
In celebration of her life, a Memorial Service will take place on Friday, November 14, 1997 at 3:00 p.m. at LEYDEN'S "Chapel of Remembrance" (17 Avenue and 2 Street S.W.) with Rev. Bob Purdy of St. Stephen's Anglican Church officiating.
Graveside Services will follow at Union Cemetery (2800 Spillers Road S.E.).

LePAGE -- Jordi Allan LePage, born Saturday, November 8, 1997 passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 1997.
For the short time Jordi was with us the hearts he touched were many, grandparents, Harold and Bea Glinz, Francis and Lionel LePage.
Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews her never got to meet; special friends that were near.

MARSHALL -- Eleanor Jean passed away peacefully at home of heart disease, November 8, 1997 at the age of 85 years.
She was the beloved daughter of John and Ethel Marshall and sister Margaret Marshall who predeceased her.
She will be remembered with great affection by her cousins and many, many friends.
Jean was born in Innisfail, moving to Calgary at a young age.
She attended Normal School and taught in Penhold, Okotoks and Didsbury later joining the staff at the University Demonstration School in Calgary in 1944.
She was one of the first women appointed as a principal of an elementary school with the Calgary Board of Education retiring in 1972 from Capitol Hill School.
Jean was an Elder and member of Grace Presbyterian Church.
Her Christian faith influenced many children and youth in the Sunday School and through her leadership skills with the Alberta CGIT Association.
A Memorial Service led by Rev. S.J. Stewart of Grace Presbyterian Church and the Rev. Hector Rose will be held at FOSTER'S FUNERAL HOME "Garden Chapel" 3320 - 4 Street N.W., on Tuesday, November 11, 1997 at 2:00 p.m.

PANKRAT -- Michelle Dorothy, beloved wife of Michael, passed away as the result of a trucking accident in London, Ontario on November 5, 1997 at the age of 32 years.
Besides her loving husband Michael, Michelle is survived by her father Brian Lilley (Diana Reese); her sister Karen (Ken) Snowdon and their children, Chad, Sheila and Kandace.
She is also survived by her father and mother-in-law, Henry and Pat Pankrat; sisters-in-law, Kath (John) Tidlund and their children, Jeniffer and Greg; and Sarah Pankrat (Fred Steudle); brothers-in-law, Wilson (Kim) Pankrat and their son Tyler; and Richard (Deb) Pankrat and their children Lyndsay, Courtney and Beverly.
