He is the loving father of Zygmunt (Olga) Kowol of Taber, AB, Krystyn (Jan) Fleisman of Calgary, and Ursula (Jim) Dick of Calgary; as well as four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Jo is predeceased by his wife Linda in 1994.
Funeral Services will be held at the Chapel of MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday, October 28, 1997 at 3:00 p.m.

LAWRENCE -- Stanley Lawrence of Calgary, passed away peacefully at the Bow Crest Nursing Home on October 26, 1997 at the age of 93 years.
Stanley will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend Barbara; his daughter Shirley (Don) Sarsfield; his daughter-in-law Linda Lawrence; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son Stanley, his granddaughter Wendy, and by his sister Mae Ryder.
A Memorial Service will be held at FOSTER'S FUNERAL HOMES "Garden Chapel", 3220 - 4 Street N.W. on Wednesday, October 29, 1997 at 10:00 a.m. Cremation.

McLAREN -- Lloyd Wesley McLaren. On October 24, 1997 God lovingly and compassionately called a special angel home.
Lloyd Wesley McLaren lived a life full of love, generosity and kindness and strength in the face of adversity.
He was born June 13, 1926, at home, in Saskatchewan.
His family moved to Golden Prairie in 1928, where he went to school and helped with the farming.
They moved to Lashburn in 1945, and in the interim spent time in hospitals in Banff, Lashburn and Lamont.
In spite of this, he completed high school and entered Miller's Business College in 1947.
In 1948, they moved to Edmonton and LLoyd began his career in the oil industry as an accountant with Northern Development Company Ltd.
From 1950 to 1957, he worked for Paul Guthrie Development in the same capacity.
In 1957, he and Carl Guthrie, also with other members of the Guthrie family, formed Guthrie McLaren Drilling Limited, eventually expanding from two to twelve rigs.
He married the love of his life, Joanne Radcliffe, on November 20, 1963 and had three children.
They sold Guthrie McLaren in 1978, by Lloyd remained extremely active in the oil industry with the expansion and operation of several smaller companies.
After the 1987 tornado destroyed much of their equipment, Lloyd "retired".
He remained active in a great number of business pursuits from his office at home until the time of his death.
He leaves to mourn his loss and celebrate his life, his loving wife Joanne; three children, Heather Rankin (Rob), James (Dyael) and Scott; six grandchildren, Alexander, Christopher, Kevin, Sian, Schyler and Gabrielle; his sister Mildred Carruthers (Stuart) of Lashburn; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Florence McLaren, and his sisters, Evelyn Hansen and Jean Olsen.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the Canadian Arthritis Society.
Services to be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 28 October 1997, at Highlands United Church, 11305 - 64 Street, Edmonton, AB, Rev. John Burrill officiating.
