She is also survived by her sister Jean Hill of Edmonton and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ruth worked at the Calgary General Hospital as a Service Aid.

WERNER -- Marinus P. (Rin) Werner went to live with his Lord, on Tuesday, October 28, 1997 at the age of 71 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of forty-five years, Margaret; three sons, Mike (Elaine), Nick (Kathy), Martin (Lisa); one daughter Ellen (Brian); five grandchildren, Martina, Peter, Dan, Heather, Joshua; as well as many relatives in Holland.

BEATTY -- Mabel Irene Beatty (Lamberty).
November 18, 1914 - October 30, 1997.
On October 30, 1997, Mabel Beatty of Sherwood Park, formerly of Calgary, passed away at the age of 82 years.
She leaves to mourn, her four children, Jack (Barb) Lamberty of White Fox, Saskatchewan, Harry (Vi) Lamberty of Nipawin, Saskatchewan, Iona (Ray) Livingstone of Sherwood Park, and Yvonne (Archie) Smith of White Fox, Saskatchewan; twelve grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Noma Sansom of Orillia, Ontario, and Audrey Hill of Calgary; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Leonard Beatty in June 1990 and her first husband Clarence Lamberty in 1969, also her mother and father, and brother Bill Tennyson.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. in the SHERWOOD PARK FUNERAL HOME, 265 Fir Street, Sherwood Park with Chaplain Rita Sandmaier officiating.

BERNBAUM -- Sally Bernbaum passed away peacefully on Monday, October 27, 1997 at the Beverly Care Centre where she had lived for the past four years. Sally was a GREAT mother; fun-loving, gentle, caring, a wonderful sense of humor, and a love of music with a beautiful singing voice.
"Baba" will be greatly missed by her sons and daughters-in-law, Stan and Nancy of Calgary, Harvey and Kim, also of Calgary, and Neil and Lesley of Richmond, British Columbia; and her grandchildren, Talia, Piper, Manya, Safi and Alicia.
Allan, Sally's loving husband, passed away four years ago.
Born in Russia in 1912, she moved with her family to Winnipeg, Manitoba where after high school, she worked for Weidman Brothers as a secretary, mastering the comptometer.
She married in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 1939, and then worked with her husband in their car dealership in that city until 1964 when they retired.
Sally was dedicated to the Hadassah organization and the Jewish Community in Saskatoon until the summer of 1992 when they moved to Calgary.
She will always be remembered for her loving personality, her great passion for cooking, and above all, her love for and devotion to her family.
Funeral Services were held at the Jewish Memorial Chapel (1702 - 17 Avenue S.W.) on Wednesday, October 29, 1997.
Interment followed at the Jewish Cemetery (30 Avenue and Erlton Street S.W.).

DAVIDSON -- Murray James Davidson, beloved son and brother, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 29, 1997 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Murray was predeceased by his father Andrew in 1986.
He will be dearly missed by his son Kyle; mother Naomi (Nan); sister Melanie (Mike) Humston; brothers, Alastair (Elaine), Stirling (Rachel), Scott (Carolyn), and Ross (Melodie), all of Calgary, Alberta; and also many nieces and nephews.
Murray was born on August 12, 1960 in Reigate, Surrey, England and chose to swim upstream all of his life.
His wonderful, strong, unique spirit will continue to live in our hearts always.

EKLUND -- Evelyn Adelaide Eklund passed away Tuesday, October 28, 1997 in the Palliative Care Unit of the Pincher Creek Hospital, at the age of 80 years, after a brave and courageous struggle with cancer.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-six years, Jack; a daughter Muriel of Calgary; a son Kenneth (Diane) of Rocky Mountain House; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

FERRIS -- October 29, 1997, Doris Madelian Ferris (nee McKenzie), aged 70 years, of Calgary.
Doris was predeceased by her husband Delbert on April 12, 1991 and a great-grandson Mackenzie Wong on November 11, 1995.
She will be dearly missed by her loving children, Blanche (Harreson) Tanner of Riondel, B.C., Bonnie (Bill) Medhurst, Mike (Julia) Ferris, Don (Eve) Ferris, Judy (Mitch) Kasprick and Eila (Mickey) Just, all of Calgary.
Doris is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; a brother Tom McKenzie of Swift Current; two sisters, Anne Lukye of Estevan, Sask. and Dorothy (Almer) Pohl of Nanaimo, B.C.; a sister-in-law Francis McKenzie of Brooks; and numerous other relatives and friends.

FRASER -- Hazel (nee Hawkes) died suddenly, aged 79, in New Glasgow, N.S.
She was born of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Hawkes in Calgary.
She leaves to grieve, her daughter Rosemary Pacquette (Glen), and grandchildren, Jeff and Nicole at 269 Mitchell St., New Glasgow, N.S., B2H 1G6.
Hazel was predeceased by her husband Stuart in October 1989 and her brother Paul on October 8, 1997.
She is survived by brothers, Murray (Marg) and Doug (Dorothy); several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She worked in Calgary for The Calgary Herald, and Imperial Oil Refinery before moving east to Toronto and eventually New Glasgow, where she will be missed by many friends and relatives.

MAKIE -- Ruby Makie, age 80, passed peacefully away on October 30, 1997 at the Forest Grove Care Centre.
She was predeceased by her husband Fritz in 1987.
