Hector W. Rose and his wife Donna of Bassano, AB, Jeanie and her husband Chuck Thomas of Pewaukee, Wisc., Eleanor and her husband Bill Sherman of Claresholm. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Agnes Rose of Fort Macleod, AB, Brunehilde Wiehler, Kelowna, B.C., Magdalene Zeisemer of Saskatoon, Sask.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Rose was predeceased by his parents, the late George and Jeanie Rose, his wife Lisbeth on June 28, 1959, a son David in 1967, three brothers and one sister. Born at Granum he received his education at Rocky Coulee and then attended and graduated from the Calgary Tech in 1928 and returned to Granum where he farmed. He was a member of Knox Jumbo Valley Presbyterian Church. Funeral Services will be held at the Knox Jumbo Valley Presbyterian Church, eight miles East of Granum on Highway 519, on Monday, November 3, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the White Lake Cemetery, northeast of Granum. WERNER -- Marinus P. (Rin) Werner went to live with his Lord, on Tuesday, October 28, 1997 at the age of 71 years. He is survived by his loving wife of forty-five years, Margaret; three sons, Mike (Elaine), Nick (Kathy), Martin (Lisa); one daughter Ellen (Brian); five grandchildren, Martina, Peter, Dan, Heather, Joshua; as well as many relatives in Holland. ADAMS -- Kathleen Jane, after a lengthy illness at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie, Ont., on Monday, October 13, 1997, in her 73rd year. Kay Adams (nee Beckett), of Orillia, beloved wife of the late Melvin Adams. Loving mother of Marlene and husband Talbot Thalen of Angus, Sherilyn and husband John Whittenberg of Calgary, Alberta, Cindy and husband Ron MacIver, Gerry and Peter, all of Orillia; loving grandmother of Ashley and Michael. Dear sister of Walter and wife Velma, and Lillian and husband Jim Graham, all of Eau Claire. Sister-in-law of Lyle Adams and wife Vera, Clifford Adams and wife Mamie, all of Eau Claire, and Jack and wife Reta of Hamilton. BAXTER -- Rose Christina Baxter of Calgary, passed away peacefully at the Rockyview Hospital on October 7, 1997 at the age of 69 years. Rose is survived by her beloved husband Robert (Bob); her two loving daughters, Judy and her husband Minoru, and Lynda and her husband Steve; and her dear sister Jessie Laverick. Rose was born at her home in Calgary on May 10, 1928 to Mr. and Mrs. William Hamilton and lived in Calgary all her life. She attended school at King Edward and Western Canada High School and was always very active in sports. She started speed skating at the Crystal Skating Rink where she met and later married her husband Bob. Rose competed in provincial speed skating championships and later was very active in figure skating both at the Calgary Winter Club and Calalta Skating Club. Her other interests included a lifetime association with the Girl Guides of Canada. But above all, she was a devoted mother and loving wife. Rose and Bob celebrated their Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary on September 1, 1997. A Memorial Service will be held at SOUTHMINSTER UNITED CHURCH 3818 - 14A Street S.W. at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 17. Friends are also invited to meet the family after the Service at the Baxter residence, 4003 Crestview Road S.W. Out of respect for Mrs. Rose Baxter, A.G.
