Hazel is survived by two sisters and one brother, Gladys Wood of Crossfield, Ina Wells and Merle Heywood of Calgary.
Hazel is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her loving husband Albert.

KUROPAS -- On Wednesday, October 22, 1997, Mr. Walter Kuropas of Calgary passed away in the Foothills Hospital at the age of 70 years.

MACHON -- Olive Mabel is the loving mother of Jeanette (Gerry) Wright of California and John Machon (Cathy) of Calgary; as well as seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brothers, Glenn McIntosh and Gordon McIntosh, both of Edmonton, AB.
Olive was predeceased by her husband J.L. Machon and her son George Machon.

MILLER -- Alvin Finley Miller Sr., passed away at Mayfair Nursing Home on October 23, 1997 at the age of 85 years.
Alvin is survived by his loving wife Anne of sixty years; his daughter Sharon Lelonde (Jack); son Alvin Miller Jr. (Lynn) and Joanne Archer (Terry).
He also leaves to mourn him, his eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, and one sister from his hometown Carlyle, Sask.
Special thanks to the caring nurses of Mayfair Nursing Home during his long illness.
Alvin's passing will leave a void in the lives of everyone he knew and loved.
A Memorial Service will be held in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 703 Heritage Drive S.W., Calgary at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 1997.

McDONALD -- Ethel Marguerite (Hutchcroft), age 76, died August 24, 1997 at Toronto, NSW, late of Carey Bay, and formerly of Maitland, also NSW, Australia.
Ethel grew up in Calgary and was employed by United Grain Growers until she left for Australia and became the beloved wife of Neville (Frank).
Ethel and Frank spent over fifty years together.
Mother of Nina (Robert), Donna (Chris), Lee (Gordon); and cherished grandmother of eight grandchildren; a loved sister of Dorothy Vien.
NARUM -- Margaret, beloved wife of Mr. Justin Narum of Calgary, passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital on October 21, 1997 at the age of 80 years.
Margaret is survived by her sister Elizabeth Judson of Black Diamond, AB; and her sister-in-law Bernice Koenig of Calgary, AB.
She is predeceased by her two brothers and four sisters.
Margaret will be fondly and lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.

PEARSON -- Ellen Agnes (Nellie), 1904 - 1997, died peacefully in Bashaw, Alberta on October 18, 1997 at the age of 93.
She was born to Janet and Robert Cammidge on September 14, 1904 in Wiarton, Ontario and was the last survivor of that family of seven children.
She obtained her grade nine education at Jarvis Bay School.
She married John Pearson on February 20, 1924.
With that union came the birth of four sons, Ronald, Glenn, Stanley and Jack. She lived in around Bashaw all of her life, with a keen sense of community and devotion to her church, St. Peter's Anglican.
She was an active member of the Eastern Star and was Matron of that organization, as well as President of the Anglican Church Women's Organization.
Left to celebrate her life and remember her for being such a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother are her three sons, Glenn (Kathy) of Calgary, Stan (Faye) of Stettler, Jack (Laureen) of Edmonton; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband John Holt Pearson in 1977 and her first son Ronald in 1943.
Funeral Services will be held at St. Peter's Anglican Church, Bashaw, Alberta on Tuesday, October 28, 1997 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Art Turnbull officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to St. Peter's Anglican Church or a charity of your choice.

QUASHNICK -- Elsie Quashnick passed away at the Forest Grove Care Centre on October 21, 1997 at the age of 92 years.
Elsie is survived by Oscar and Rebecca Quashnick, Ester and Harold Reynolds; three grandchildren, Marvin Quashnick, Marleene Thomson and Karen DeRoo; two great-grandchildren, Robert and Crystal DeRoo.
Also survived by three sisters, Emily, Elizabeth and Martha; two brothers, Benny and Gus; as well as nieces and nephews and her many friends.
Elsie was predeceased by her loving husband Adolf.
The family wishes to extend their many thanks to the nurses and care givers at the Forest Grove Care Centre.
