Valerie E. Crighton (nee Wutzke) passed away peacefully June 22, 2007 at the age of 53 years.
She will be remembered for her courage and strength by all of her friends and family.
Val is survived by her two children Jennifer and Michael, grandson Jordon, mother Hertha, mother-in-law Gwenn Crighton, sisters Wendy (Garry) MacKinnon and Gail (Blake) Elsasser, nieces Lisa, Caitlin, Nicole, and Jacqueline. Val is predeceased by her husband Barry (1998) and father Einhart (2004).

Funeral Service will be held at River West Christian Church (19815 - 45 Ave. Edmonton, AB) Tuesday June 26, 2007 at 11:00 am.

Mr. Eugene Bulat
April 7, 1927 - June 23, 2007
On June 23, 2007, Eugene Bulat passed away peacefully with his family at his side at the age of 80 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Velma (nee King); his two sons, Norman (Judy) and Douglas (Marilyn); five grandchildren, Jason (Roxanne), Carmen, Scott (Cheryl), Ross (Megan), and Adam; and two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Hayley.
Eugene was predeceased by his parents Metro and Elsie.
The family would like to thank Dr. McAlister and the staff of station 5D of the University of Alberta Hospital.
Funeral Service will be held at Glenwood Funeral Home, 52356-Range Road 232, south of Wye Road, on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at Glenwood Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Michael Hamilton Atcheson
June 20, 1968 - July 29, 2007
Michael Atcheson, loving father of Austin who currently lives in Peachland, BC passed away unexpectedly at the age of 39 in the Grey Nuns Community Hospital on Saturday, July 28, 2007. Sadly, Michael’s maternal grandmother, Rose Olivier passed away on the same day in Drummondville, Quebec at the age of 95.
Michael was born in Toronto on June 20, 1968 and lived the first 6 months of his life in Sept Iles, Quebec. He then moved to the Toronto area where he lived for 10 years before moving to Sherwood Park, Alberta in January 1979 where he lived until his passing. Michael graduated from Madonna elementary school and Archbishop Jordon high school in Sherwood Park. He then attended Concordia University and the University of Alberta. While living in Rome Italy from June 1987 to June 1989, Michael attended John Cabot University in Rome.
Michael is survived by his loving mother Francoise (nee Olivier), father Bob and brother Tim. Michael will be dearly missed by his family including his uncle John and aunt Brenda Atcheson from Kitchener, Ontario; his uncle Jean and aunt Carole Olivier from Otter Burn Park, Quebec; his uncle and Godfather Guy Olivier from Cap Rouge, Quebec; his uncle Francois and aunt Florence Olivier from Riviere Ouelle, Quebec; his uncle Rene and aunt Hughette Olivier from Windsor, Quebec; and his aunt Pauline and uncle Bob Vatcher from Lethbride, Alberta. Michael will be dearly missed by his two surviving great-aunts – aunt Jeanne Beaumier from Drummondville, Quebec, and aunt Marie Steadman from Winter Park, Florida. His cousins will dearly miss Michael on the Atcheson side of his family – Dan and Jill from Kitchener, Ontario; and on the Olivier side of his family – Jose, Patrick, Daniel, Annabelle, Stephane, Caroline, Helene, Serge, Natalie, Annie, Sebastien, and Sylvian from Quebec; and Gordon and Sonya from Lethbridge, Alberta. Michael will be missed by his friends D’Arcy Templeton and Lorna McCallum from Vancouver, and Darcy and Louise Lalor from St Albert who offered loving and caring support to him throughout many difficult years of struggles with life.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Michael’s memory to Caritas Hospital Foundation, Grey Nuns Critical Care Donation Fund or to the Edmonton Humane Society. Michael loved animals. The family pets – Mr Svend and Miss Daisy will miss his loving care and attention.

Michael’s mother and father wish to thank the staff of the Grey Nuns hospital for their loving care of Michael during his final hours of life, and their kindness and support extended to them during these difficult times. Francoise and Bob sincerely appreciate the many hours Blaine Allan, Chaplain at Grey Nuns spent comforting them. Francoise and Bob also wish to thank all of their family and friends for their loving care and support.

Mrs. Amanda Whitelaw
June 3, 1918 - August 20, 2007
On August 20, 2007 Amanda Whitelaw of Edmonton formerly of Manchester, England passed away peacefully at the age of 89.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Amanda Ailsa (Ross) Lambert, her son Ian James Whitelaw, granddaughter Lenora (Paul) Collins, grandson Morgan John Chandler Lambert, great-grandchildren Aidan & Parker Collins, as well as extended family and friends.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks for the loving care given to our mother by all the caregivers at South Terrace Continuing Care Centre.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 24, 2007 at 3:30 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home, south of Wye Road on Range Road 232, Sherwood Park, Alberta. Amanda's final resting place will be with her husband John at Glenwood Memorial Gardens.

On August 18, 2007 Mr. Dean Froud of Edmonton passed away at home with family by his side at the age of 47. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Laurel, his son Desmond, stepchildren Matthew and Stephanie, his parents Dale and Doreen, sisters Dawn (Scot) Smith & Darcie (Rob) Barber, brother Darren Froud as well as numerous relatives and friends.
A celebration of Dean's life will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home, south of Wye Road on Range Road 232, Sherwood Park. Inurnment and a reception will follow at Glenwood Memorial Gardens.

Trotter, Graham Wallace
The retired former bureau chief of Canadian Press in Edmonton died peacefully July 30, at the Edmonton General's Hospice from complications due to bone cancer. Born in Medicine Hat in 1925, the son of labourer Arthur Trotter and Scottish immigrant Elizabeth Lambie, Graham joined CP at Winnipeg in 1948 and had a lengthy stint as news editor in Ottawa before transfer to Edmonton in 1969. He was a classic news hound in the era of lead pencil, typewriter and teletype, dedicated to delivering the facts quickly and precisely. In the last months, unaware of re-emerging cancer, Graham tended to his wife's own medical crisis and bore his own pain stoically. This old-fashioned gentleman will be sorely missed by wife, Mary,; daughter, Valerie; son, Larry; sister Margaret; grandchildren, Colleen and Andy; great-grandchildren, Alijha, Max, Owen and Nate, and all the relations and co-workers who knew him well.
A celebration of Graham's life will be held at Glenwood Funeral Home, 52356-Range Road 232, south of Wye Road, on August 7, 2007 at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Glenwood Memorial Gardens.

Peacefully, on July 25, 2007 with his family by his side. Richard Adam Ditlof, beloved husband of Rosa Vieira. Loving father of Ricky.
Beloved son of Christine and predeceased by his father Nicholas. Dear brother of Nick and his wife Lina. Richard will be fondly remembered and forever loved by his neices, nephews, Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.
