Raymond Brett Mellon of Okotoks passed away at the Rockyview Hospital on December 15th , 2002 at the age of 53 years.
Raymond was predeceased by his sister Justine in 1973 and is survived by his wife Catherine (Kaye); children Aaron, Alyssa and Trina; parents Edward C. and Marjorie Mellon of Calgary; sister Maureen (Dave) Kelly of Calgary; brother Chuck (Sylvie) Mellon of Oliver B.C. and niece Shannon Kelly of Calgary.

Laurence Osberg
Laurence Osberg of Okotoks, passed away peacefully on Dec 11, 2002 at the age of 71 years.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years Ethel; four sons, Dennis (Shelley), Grant, Don (Jan, deceased Apr 02), and Greg (Deb).
As well, his eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, many brothers, sisters, brothers and sisters in-law, will have fond memories of their own.
Always known as Grandpa to his loved ones, Laurence greatly enjoyed camping with his family and friends and the many winter holidays he and his wife had spent in Arizona.
A tremendously hard working man who believed retirement was for when you were old and he wasn't there yet.
Our very special thanks to the ICU staff at the Foothills Hospital for their care and compassion in treating Laurence for an incurable blood infection.
There will be no memorial service or funeral.
Arrangements will be provided by Pierson's Crematorium.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ICU Unit at the Foothills Hospital.
Irene Savage
Irene Savage of Black Diamond, passed away at the Rising Sun Extended Care on December 14, 2002 at the age of 79 years.
Irene is survived by her children, Joanne (Robbie) Leyden of New Zealand, Wayne (Barb) Savage of Turner Valley, Martin Savage of Vancouver and Victor Savage of Black Diamond; grandchildren, Jory of Calgary, Carolyn and Robecca Leyden of New Zealand.
Irene is also survived by four great grandchildren as well as numerous sisters and brothers.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Savage on February 24, 1997.
A memorial service will be held at St. George's Anglican Church, Turner Valley, on Thursday, December 19, 2002 at 2:00 p.m.

Internment will follow at Foothills Cemetery.

Albert J. Hall
Albert J. Hall of Gladys Ridge, AB passed away suddenly on June 23, 2003 at the age of 72 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Laura of Gladys Ridge, his step-daughter Fran (David) Yip, Calgary, step-son Wayne (Phyllis) Humphrey, High River and grandchildren Darren (Cindy) Humphrey, Robin Henly, Dallas Humphrey, Steve (Shiela) Wooldridge, Curtis (Debbie) Wooldridge and Dava Yip and by eight great-grandchildren.
Albert is also survived by his sisters, Gladys MacIntyre and her family Jim, Ross and Bill of Brock, SK and Lois (Don) Bratt and their family, Dixie, Greg, Karen and Scott of Calgary.
He was predeceased by his parents Susan and James Hall and grandson Guy Wooldridge.
A memorial service was held at Snodgrass Funeral Chapel, High River on Friday, June 27 at 11 am with Gerry Watkins D.M. officiating.

Joan (Watkins Lady) Burton
It is with great sadness that Joan Burton passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 4, 2003.
Joan is survived by her loving husband Derril who was always by her side.
Joan is also survived by her children Les Burton, Jodi (Alain) Villeneuve, Keith (Diane) Marshall, Robin (Rob) Mclean, sister Emily (George) Strathern, grandchildren Courtney, Katelyne, Erin and Justin as well as her friends new and old that she had touched every day.
Her passion in life was to be a wife, a mom, a grandma, a cook and a gardener.
Joan was predeceased by her parents and son Wayne Marshall.
She showed us how to be strong, positive and never quit.
This is how she dealt with her courageous battle with lung cancer.
Joan's wish was to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at the Lutheran Church Of Our Saviour, 8831 Fairmont Drive, S.E., Calgary, Alberta on Thursday, July 10, at 1 pm.

Patricia Elliott
Pat Elliott passed away peacefully at the Rising Sun Long Term Care Centre, Black Diamond, AB on August 1, 2003 age of 87 years.
She is survived by three sons, Don (Betty), Tom (Helen) and Terry (Theresa) and one daughter, Lois (Dennis), as well as numerous other family members and friends. Pat was predeceased by her husband Henry.
A private service will be held at a later date.

David Carpenter
1973 - 2003
David Carpenter (known to many as Nine) of Calgary passed away suddenly at his residence on August 5, 2003 at the age of 29 years.
David was born November 26, 1973 in Calgary, and attended grade school in Okotoks, AB.
David owned his own framing business, G.F.T. Builders.
He loved horses and always stayed active in his family's business of Cara Arabian's.
He participated in many activities, such as golf, soft ball and playing drums.
David was very passionate for his favorite sports teams, the Chicago Bears and New York Yankees.
David is survived by his family; father Dale Carpenter, a sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Fran Kavanagh, and two nephews, Brennan and Jake.
He is also survived by his uncle Alan, two aunts, Arlene and Mary, and his cousins, Lindsey and Lance.
He was predeceased by his mother, Shirley Carpenter in 2002, and his uncle John.
Those wishing to pay their respects could do so at McInnis & Holloway's Fish Creek Chapel, (14441 Bannister Road S.E.), on Sunday, August 10, 2003 from 7 pm to 9 pm.
Graveside Service was held on Monday, August 11, 2003 at 1 pm at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, 17th Avenue S.E. at Garden Road.

Olive Evelyn Halfacree
Olive Evelyn Halfacree passed away on August 9, 2003 at the Oilfields Hospital in Black Diamond, Alberta at the age of 91 years.
Olive is survived by her loving husband Colson; sons James McNeil, Ralph McNeil, Lloyd McNeil, Douglas McNeil and Bob McNeil; sisters Martha West, Marjorie Mills, Eva Holt and Aubrey Tilt as well as 25 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren.
Olive was predeceased by her parents Brock and Annabelle Tilt; sister Eda Davis and brother Francis Tilt.
Olive grew up in Francis, Saskatchewan were she later farmed along side her father.
She then continued her love of farming when she married Colson and farmed together in Lumsden, Saskatchewan.
She was a Silver Cross Mother with the Royal Canadian Legion and had all five sons serve in the military throughout the world including Australia, Laos, Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Cypress, Norway, Germany as well as the seven seas.
A memorial service was held on August 11, 2003 at 1 pm at the Snodgrass Funeral Chapel in Okotoks.
