CHARD, Sheila Marlene passed away peacefully June 24, 2010 at the age of 52 years. She is survived by her husband; Warren, daughter Kimberly Chard, Edmonton, son Garret Chard, Oakville, Ontario, her mother; Marlene Lamont, Leduc, sisters Valerie (Terry) Steinke, Joan (Cyril) Forton, one brother, Kevin (Diane) Lamont, plus numerous nieces and nephews. Sheila was predeceased by her father Thomas Lamont. On Saturday, June 19, 2010 Ruby Hollar passed away at the age of 87 years. Ruby leaves to mourn her two sons, Jesse, Larry and one daughter Linda; Ruby was predeceased by her son Miles and husband Ernest. No formal service will be held.

BRAULT, Mary Catherine

On June 22, 2010, Mary Brault of Millet was called home to be with her Lord. She was 79 years of age. Mary is survived by five children: Valerie (Walter) Kostiw of Westlock, Vivian (Dave) Miller of Keswick, Ontario, Randy of Erskine, Reg (Shirley) of Red Deer and Rod of Calgary; fourteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Mary is lovingly remembered by her three sisters: Helen Egleston, Rita Kallal, and Evelyn (Marcel) Dallaire; four brothers: William (Theresa) Kallal, Edwin (Helen) Kallal, Thomas (Millie) Kallal and Gerald (Lorraine) Kallal. She was predeceased by her husband Sam Brault in November 2009 and her parents William and Amelia Kallal. SILLITO, Effie Lois

SILLITO, Effie Lois Effie Lois (Bates) Sillito daughter of Franklin Richard Bates and Effie Corinne Henderson; passed away peacefully at home in St. Albert on June 19th, 2010 at the age of 97 years. Lois was born January 1, 1913 in Purple Springs, Alberta the third of thirteen children. She is survived by her brother Joseph Bates and sister Betty Peterson. On August 27th, 1938 she married Melvin Thomas Sillito and became the mother of fourteen children. Lois is survived by thirteen of her children; Beverly Hale, Jolayne Call, Geraldine Finney, Marilyn McCombs, David Sillito, Thomas Sillito, Ernest Sillito, Hugh Sillito, Murray Sillito, Susan Jong, Stephen Sillito, James Sillito, and Megan Sillito, 78 grandchildren, 114 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Melvin Thomas Sillito and her son Kenneth Lloyd Sillito. Lois worked tirelessly mothering her children and the following generations of herposterity over the years. She encouraged her children to get an education both to improve their minds and their work opportunities. She was an active member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons) serving in church positions and working as a missionary to the Hmong people who had relocated to California from Laos after the Vietnam War. Her love of music and reading was contagious and picked up by her children and grandchildren. She had a beautiful soprano voice that was appreciated at church and especially around the house. We love you Mom and will miss your sense of humour and playful nature. PULLES, Bert After a brave and courageous two year journey of cancer treatments, it is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Bert Cornelius Martin Pulles on June 21st 2010. Bert is survived by his loving wife of 32 years; Elaine, daughter Jennifer (Tim) Bagu, son Keith (Karen) and daughter Bari. He is also survived by his family in Saskatoon, SK : mother Jacoba ‘Coby’, sister Eleanor ‘Nory’(Roger) Kennedy , brother Henry’Hank’ (Jeanette), brother Richard ‘Rick’ (Chandra), brother John, sister Marian (Barry) Thomson, brother Tom (Maureen), as well as his Regina relatives: mother-in-law Margaret Swayze and her companion Lynall Wilson, brother-in-law Jack (Leslie) Swayze, as well as numerous nephews and nieces in both Alberta and Saskatchewan. Bert was looking forward to the birth of his first grandchild this summer; Bert was predeceased by his father Bert Pulles, uncle John Pulles, and both sets of grandparents. Bert was born on September 18, 1950 on the family farm near Delisle , SK. As a toddler the family moved to Saskatoon, SK and he attended St. Mary’s and St. Goretti’s Elementary Schools as well as St. Paul’s All Boys High School and then E.D. Feehan High School to complete grade 12. Bert graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering in 1972 , and moved to Regina in January 1974 to commence work with Saskatchewan Department of Highways and Transportation, where he worked at both Head Office and Regina District offices until 1986. Bert worked as a consultant with G.E. Ground Engineering in Regina from 1986 to 1989 , at which time he moved to Edmonton to commence employment with EBA Engineering Consultants until his retirement in March 2010. Bert was a man of high integrity, principles, strong morals and extreme loyalty. He was kind, gentle, loving and courageous. He provided a safe and secure home for his family and gave his children a secure and firm foundation so that they can and will handle any obstacles life places in their path. Although this earthly relationship has ended, we rejoice that Bert has now passed from earth to heaven and from suffering to joy at meeting his Heavenly Father face to face. HYNDMAN, Ruth Evlyn

On Sunday, June 20, 2010, Ruth Hyndman of Leduc, AB passed away at the age of 90 years.

Ruth is survived by; one son: Randy Hyndman, one daughter: Joy (Dwayne) Buchak, two grandchildren: Staci (Jason) St. Louis and John Buchak, one great granddaughter: Samantha St. Louis; two sisters: Helen Noble and Grace North and numerous nieces nephews relatives and friends. Ruth was predeceased by her parents: William and Estena Jadeske, four brothers: Walter, Clarence, Rueben and Ed and two sisters: Edna and Martha.

MACISAAC, Ernest Stephen
May 20, 1933 — June 19, 2010

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ernie MacIsaac of Devon, Alberta.
Ernie passed away peacefully with family by his side after a brief but courageous battle with cancer at the age of 77.
Ernie was born in Inverness, Nova Scotia (Cape Breton) on May 20, 1933 to Hugh D. and Cassie MacIsaac. He was a member of the Stella Maris Parish. He is survived by his sons Doug (Claudette) MacIsaac, David MacIsaac; daughters Anne (Zach) Johnson and Cyndie (Dale) Sekora; his sisters Lorna (Jim) McIntyre and Ursula (Gord) Lohndorf all of Devon, Alberta. He was a proud grandfather of six grandchildren Aaron, Holly, Jordan, Krystal, Lance and Ava also many nieces, nephews and friends. Ernie was predeceased by his wife Leona on November 4, 2006; parents Hughie and Cassie; sisters Geraldine and Nancy and by his brothers Roderick, Maurice, Lloyd and Bill.
He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, #8 St. Clair Street, Devon on Friday June 25th at 10:30 a.m.

RILEY, Doreine

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Doreine Riley on the 15th day of June 2010. Doreine was born on the 9th day of April, 1930 in Cardston, Alberta. She joins her loving husband William Roy Riley who predeceased her in 2008. She is survived by her eight children, fifteen grandchildren and her sister. Doreine was blessed with a beautiful voice which touched the hearts of all who heard her sing. She was involved in the Richard Eaton’s singers and the Edmonton Symphony Chorus for many years. She was also a season ticket holder for the Edmonton Opera Association. Doreine’s life was her family. After marrying she settled down to be a homemaker and mother which she enjoyed all her days. She would graciously give her time and resources to her children and grandchildren in any way she could. Doreine was also a devout, active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she served in various leadership and musical positions. A Memorial Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday the 19th day of June 2010 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Bonnie Doon Stake Centre, 9010 — 85 Street, Edmonton. MAKARCHUK, John Steve

John passed away peacefully with his wife and family at his side on June 12, 2010. John will be forever remembered by his loving wife Clare of 47 years; his three sons: Ken (Jeannette), Grant (Bonnie), and Jason (Theresa); his grandson Brendan, his loving mother-in-law, Hilda Shimonek, along with countless relatives and friends. KREBS, Edwin

On June 15, 2010 it was in the Lord’s plan to take Edwin into His loving care at the age of 80 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Rita; two daughters: Connie (Ben) and Caroline (Edgar); four grandchildren: Victoria, Philip, Jacqueline and Eric; brother Werner, as well as many relatives and friends. February 8, 1931 — June 16, 2010

On June 16, 2010, Betty Doris Fraser of Edmonton passed away peacefully at the Edmonton General Hospital. Doris was predeceased by her husband Colin on June 11, 2005. She is survived by her daughter Bonnie (Larry) Kurkowsky sons Robert (Pat) Wayne (Joyce) and Neil, three grandsons, five granddaughters, and one great-granddaughter.Cremation will take place and upon her request, a private service will be held. It is with a great amount of sadness that we share with you, the passing of Stephen Paul Fehr, who drowned in Lake Isle, June 13, 2010 at the age of 48 years. On June 15, 2010, Victoria Moroziuk, beloved wife, mother, and baba passed away at the age of 75 years. TAYLOR, Harry Keith
March 14, 1930 — June 4, 2010

It is with extreme sadness and sorrow we announce the passing of Harry Keith Taylor, our dad, brother, uncle, grandpa and papa on Friday, June 4, 2010. Dad was born in Onoway, Alberta on March 14, 1930, enlisted in the RCAF in November 1948. Followed by a career in the oil industry, retiring from Shell Canada in 1994. Dad was a very talented craftsman and all of our homes contain reminders of his skills and passions. He loved to travel, garden and spend time at the cabin with family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Isabel in 1980, second wife Elsie in 2009, daughter Christine, sons-in-law Wayne, Arden, brothers Bill, Ken, sister Lucy and great-granddaughter Evelyn. He will be sadly missed by his children Debbie (Ken), Greg (Deb), Donna (Will), Jennifer (Dirk); step-daughters Wendy, Shauna (Maurice), grandchildren Robert, Lisa (Matthew), Isabel, Joshua, Joseph, Pamela (Andrew), Megan, Sarah, Clint, Roxanne, Jeanine (Kevin), Taylor, Cindy (Jon), Christine, Stephanie, Dillon and Jacqueline, great– grandchildren Tyler, Anthony, Skye, Trinity, Aeden, Jace, Cassidy and Kaleb. June 5, 1991 – July 29, 2010

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Hutchinson at the young age of 19 years.

HOYKA, Elizabeth (Betty) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Betty on July 24, 2010. To mourn her loss, Gerhard her husband of 43 years. She will be truly missed by her nieces Vonnie, Jolene, Shelley and nephews Barry, Kris, Rainer and their families. Betty made many friends in her journey of life and she treasured them all.
