On Saturday July 24th, 2010 Bob Baddock of Calmar, AB passed away at the age of 73 years.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Cecilia Van Haaren, children; Gilles (Barb) Baddock, Diane Baddock, Evelyn (Paul) Martin and Corrina (Dale) Lougheed; step children; Amanda and Melissa Van Haaren; 16 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, one step grandson and numerous relatives and friends.
Bob was predeceased by the mother of his children, Collette; parents Ann Grace and Jack Baddock and two sisters Louise and Betty.

Nancy succumbed from a lengthly battle with Alzheimers on July 18th at the age of 86. She was predeceased by her husband Frank in 1999. She will be lovingly remembered by her family; daughters Shirley (Don) and grandson Troy; Lorna Jordan, Denise Griffin (Al) and granddaughter Amanda; and one son, Brian Shongrunder; one brother Peter Burcharski; and a sister, Lena Seewalt, plus numerous nieces, nephews and friends. At Nancy’s request cremation has already taken place. Ella went home to be with the Lord on July 14, 2010 at the age of 88 years.

October 20, 1927 — June 17, 2010
On June 17, 2010, Marica Planinc, passed away in Edmonton, Alberta. She is survived by her sister, Fanika Repenek, her late husband’s brother and sister-in-law, Anton Planinc and Vanda Planinc, and many nieces and nephews. They all reside in Slovenia, Marica’s country of birth. Marica enjoyed gardening and visiting with those she cherished. Marcia’s friends in Edmonton will especially treasure the many conversations they had with her, over tea and goodies. Her warm and caring presence will be greatly missed by all. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2010, 12:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church of the First Peoples, 10821–96 Street. Cremation has already taken place. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bernice Tischer of Edmonton,AB at the age of 89 years. She leaves to mourn her daughter ; Beverly (Douglas) Hope , two grandchildren , Cameron (Sara) Hope of New York, Joanne White (Jay) of Edmonton ‚AB. She will be sorely missed by her great-granddaughters, Amy, Jenna and Lacey, as well as several nieces and nephews. Bernice was predeceased by her parents Jesse and Martha Williams, her husband Rudy and her ten siblings; Jesse, Georgia, Walter, Ella, May, Clifford, Russell, Doris, Margaret and Martha. After a brave and courageous two year journey of cancer treatments, it is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Bert Cornelius Martin Pulles on June 21st 2010. Bert is survived by his loving wife of 32 years; Elaine, daughter Jennifer (Tim) Bagu, son Keith (Karen) and daughter Bari. He is also survived by his family in Saskatoon, SK : mother Jacoba ‘Coby’, sister Eleanor ‘Nory’(Roger) Kennedy , brother Henry’Hank’ (Jeanette), brother Richard ‘Rick’ (Chandra), brother John, sister Marian (Barry) Thomson, brother Tom (Maureen), as well as his Regina relatives: mother-in-law Margaret Swayze and her companion Lynall Wilson, brother-in-law Jack (Leslie) Swayze, as well as numerous nephews and nieces in both Alberta and Saskatchewan. Bert was looking forward to the birth of his first grandchild this summer; Bert was predeceased by his father Bert Pulles, uncle John Pulles, and both sets of grandparents. Bert was born on September 18, 1950 on the family farm near Delisle , SK. As a toddler the family moved to Saskatoon, SK and he attended St. Mary’s and St. Goretti’s Elementary Schools as well as St. Paul’s All Boys High School and then E.D. Feehan High School to complete grade 12. Bert graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering in 1972 , and moved to Regina in January 1974 to commence work with Saskatchewan Department of Highways and Transportation, where he worked at both Head Office and Regina District offices until 1986. Bert worked as a consultant with G.E. Ground Engineering in Regina from 1986 to 1989 , at which time he moved to Edmonton to commence employment with EBA Engineering Consultants until his retirement in March 2010. Bert was a man of high integrity, principles, strong morals and extreme loyalty. He was kind, gentle, loving and courageous. He provided a safe and secure home for his family and gave his children a secure and firm foundation so that they can and will handle any obstacles life places in their path. Although this earthly relationship has ended, we rejoice that Bert has now passed from earth to heaven and from suffering to joy at meeting his Heavenly Father face to face. A Memorial Service Celebrating Bert’s Life will be held on June 26, 2010 at 1:30 p.m.at North Pointe Community Church, 14025–167 Avenue, Edmonton, AB. In lieu of flowers, Bert requested that donations be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Grey Nuns Hospital.
PETERSON, Gerald (Gerry) Frederick
January 16, 1949 — July 3, 2010
On July 3, 2010, at the age of 61, Gerry Peterson went home to be with his Lord. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Gerry touched in so many ways throughout his memorable life. Gerry’s life might seem too short to some. But those whose lives he touched understand that Gerry lived his life to the fullest, bringing so much joy and happiness to family and friends. His inquisitive mind and unwavering Christian faith made him someone who truly cherished life and was an inspiration to others. Gerry was born on January 16, 1949, in Edmonton, Alberta to Waldemar and Ruth Peterson. Over the past 40 years, Gerry gave his life in ministry to the needs of others. His generosity of spirit was boundless and given freely to all. Gerry authored and published two books that portrayed his struggles and victories as a man born with cerebral palsy during a time when very few resources were available for person with disabilities. His life story was one of victory and triumph over what others might call a disability. To Gerry, his so-called “disability” was a gift; a unique opportunity to show others that his faith in God and his love for his family and friends gave special meaning and purpose to his life. Gerry leaves behind his beloved parents, Ruth and Wally Peterson; his two brothers, Dale (Trish) and Brian; numerous nieces and nephews; and countless friends whose lives he touched. Gerry was predeceased by his special friend and companion, Tami. Heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at the Easter Seals McQueen Residence that was home to Gerry for over 35 years. A celebration of Gerry’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at West Meadows Baptist Church, 9333–199 Street, Edmonton. It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing away of Seigfried Semmler of St. Albert, AB on Monday, August 16, 2010 at 74 years old. Siegfried dedicated 40 years of his life as an employee with the Government of Alberta serving Albertans and serving through the Body of Christ. Seigfried is predeceased by his parents Daniel and Ruth Semmler and his son Nathan Semmler. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Hazel; five children, Daniel (Shelly), Phillip (Debbie), Wilfred (Brenda), Julia, and Matthew (Kristen); and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his younger siblings sister Marilyn Betts, brother Gary Semmler, and sister Crista Cote. It is with great sorrow that the Family announces the passing of George Raymond Judd, of Wetaskiwin, Ab., on August 13, 2010 aged 50 years.
George is survived by his wife of 30 years, Lauren, his children; Tina (Rob), John (Stephanie), Danny (Tina), twins Meghan (Don) and Melissa. Twelve grandchildren, his mother Berneice Larson, his Mother in law Jaye Biglow, sisters Debbie, Susan (Paddy), Diane (Robert), brothers Joseph (Carol) and Wayne (Judy); Numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends, including his special “furry friend”, Mia.
George was predeceased by his grandparents, his Father George, and numerous other relatives.
