Corinne Adrienne Schmidt passed away tragically at the age of 60 years at the University of Alberta Hospital. Corinne was born in Mannville on November 8, 1952, born to Allen and Nettie Dziki of Mannville. Corinne attended school in Mannville graduating in 1970. She moved to Vermillion after marrying Eugene Yurystowski where they started their home and family. Corinne began her banking career in 1978 at Scotiabank in Vermillion eventually becoming a branch manager when she moved to Wetaskiwin in 1989. Corinne met Reg Schmidt in 1992 and they married on December 18, 1993. She was a farm girl at heart and enjoyed the cattle, the crops and of course her gardens. In the 20 years together with Reg, she transformed the yard into an oasis of beautiful gardens as this was Corinne’s labor of love. As the time passed, the farm changed and Corinne no longer had to tend to cattle; this provided more time for her to do things for herself — time she cherished. Corinne was taken at the prime of her years with too much left to do.
Corinne will be cherished forever by her husband Reg, sons Robert (Tracy) and Chris (Monica); grandchildren Tyler, Lauren and Sophia; sisters Colleen, Leanne, Lorrie (Brian), Kelly (Myron) and Tanni (Darcy) and numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
