HAMILTON

Helen Lavina (nee Smith), passed away at the High River Hospital on September 5th, 2000 at the age of 73 years. Helen is survived by her loving husband Harvie Hamilton, High River, her daughters: Audrey (Cam) Fleury, High River and Shelley (Michael) Getten. She is also survived by her sister Martha (Chuck) Rogowski, Calgary; her brother Frank (Lena) Smith, Calgary; her brother-in-law Bill Chandler, Victoria, B.C. and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Barbara Chandler. Born at Calgary on November 25th, 1927, Helen was raised in the Bearspaw district and resided there until 1972 when she and Harvie moved to the High River district, retiring to High River in 1995. Relatives and friends were invited for visitation at Snodgrass Funeral Home, High River on Friday, September 8th between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. Services were held at Snodgrass Funeral Chapel, High River on Saturday, September 9th at 11:00 a.m. If desired, either flowers for the funeral or contributions sent in Helen's name to the High River Hospital Foundation, 560 - 9 th Ave. W., High River, T1V 1B3 would be appreciated. HUNZIGER

Edith Mary Hunziger, aged 84 years, of Claresholm, passed away September 13, 2000, widow of the late Herbert Joseph (Bert) Hunziger who predeceased her on march 14, 2000. She is the beloved mother of Harry Hallett, Red Deer, AB and Richard Hallett, Pincher Creek, AB. She is also survived by a brother Bob LePatourel, High River, AB. She was predeceased by two brothers, Jim and Dan LePatourel. Funeral Services were held at Leyden's "Chapel of Remembrance" (4079 First Street south West, Claresholm) on Friday, September 22, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Kim Heath officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society (Calgary & District Unit office, 2nd floor, 215 - 12 Avenue S.E., Calgary, AB T2G 1A2) or to the charity of your choice. MULDER

It is with great sadness that we announce that Fritho Rudger Erick Mulder, beloved husband of Lillias Mulder, passed away in Calgary on Sunday, September 17, 2000 at the age of 82 years. Funeral services were held at Christ Church Millarville, on Wednesday, September 20, 2000 at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Griffin, officiating. TUPKAL

(Weber/Clark) Marguerite (Meg) passed away peacefully at the Willow Creek Auxiliary Hospital in Claresholm on Friday, July 21 at the age of 80 years. Meg was born October 17, 1919 in Strome, Alberta. Meg married Gurney Weber and she lived most of her life in High River. Some years after Gurney's death she married James Tupkal of High River. Meg is survived by her special niece, Peggy (Ken) Baker and family of Claresholm, sister, Mary Rogers of Abbotsford, B.C., brother Bob Clark of Nanaimo, B.C. as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Jim's children Shannon Tannas, Joanne Wulff, Bill Tupkal and Roy Tupkal and their families. She is predeceased by her first husband Gurney, second husband Jim, her parents George and Isabella Clark, brothers Geordie Clark, Dave Clark, Doug Clark, Jack Clark and sister Grace Irons. Meg was the 2nd youngest of a family of 8 children and grew up in Strome and took her school there. Meg went to live with her sister, Mary, in Olds, Alberta to help her sister look after her twin boys. Meg married Gurney Weber of High River and she had various jobs in High River. Meg loved flowers and showed her talents working at Delmerie Flowers. She later went to work as receptionist for Dr.'s York and Bruce Blayney where she remained until her retirement. Meg did not have any children of her own, but she helped raise her niece, Peggy who lived with Meg and Gurney for 4 years. After Meg became ill in 1995, she moved to the Willow Creek Auxiliary Hospital in Claresholm and remained there until her passing. Meg was well-like wherever she went and made friends easily. Her sunny disposition saw her through many rough times. She loved to sing and was a member of the United Church Choir for a number of years. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. At Meg's request there will be no Funeral or Memorial services, but a Graveside Service and interment of her Urn were held at the Highwood Cemetery in High River on Saturday, July 29 at 11 a.m. Friends and relatives are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wandering Willows c/o the Willow Creek Auxiliary Hospital in Claresholm, Box 700 or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. DAY

Don Day, beloved husband of Blanche Day of Calgary, passed away at the Mayfair Nursing Home on Tuesday, November 28, 2000, at the age of 83 years. Besides his loving wife, Don is survived by, four sons and three daughters-in-law; Greg and Elaine of Edmonton, Merv and Linda of Calgary, Gerry and Sandy of High River and Allan of Calgary; seven grandchildren, Kristin, Kelly, Kristine, Tiffany, Mike, Mark and Rob; four great grandchildren, Brett, Blake, Sarah and Brandon. He is also survived by a brother, Gordon and his wife Peggy, four sisters, Thelma, Sylvia, Joyce and Edna. He is predeceased by his sister Irene.
