On Thursday, January 27, 2005 Bill Littlejohn of Smoky Lake, formerly of Edmonton passed away at the age 89 years.
He is survived by his two daughters; Sally, Sharon (Rick); two grandchildren, Rob and Kerri McPike, and his brother Jack. Bill was predeceased by his wife Dolly in 2002, son-law-in Thomas McPike in 2004, two brothers Jim and George; four sisters; Mag, Sal, Theresa and Nel.

On January 26, 2005 Darrel Hoflin of Edmonton passed away at the age of 48 years. He is survived by his two daughters; Renee (Shane), Tina; grandchildren; Taylor, Chase, Rhett, Aidyn and Amaia, his mother Jean, three brothers; Dean (Leona), Barry (Cori) and Lyle (Lorette), grandfather Mauritz Hoflin, as well as nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. Darrel was predeceased his father Albert, sister Jeannie and his grandparents.

HINTZ, Alexander Alexander Hintz passed away after a brief illness on October 30, 2004 at the Misericordia Hospital. He was born in Edmonton on January 4, 1913 and moved to the family farm by Hay Lakes AB, where he lived until he wed Lydia Knopp in 1940. He worked for Muttart Lumber until his retirement in 1977. He served overseas for four years purifying and hauling fresh water for the soldiers. He had a deep love of music and played several instruments and had many fond memories of dances where he played. He was predeceased by his parents and infant son, Harvey and brother, Carl. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 64 years, Lydia; daughter, Marge Suddards (Jack); son, Brian Hintz of Calgary; and daughter, Donna Sandberg (Laurie) of Red Deer; grandchildren, Allan Suddards of Red Deer, Laurie Andrews (Wayne) of Calgary, Kristen Hintz, Jonathan Hintz of Calgary and Christy Sandberg and fiancé Nathan Trescher of North Bay ON, and Leanne Schell (Andrew) of Kingston ON; and great-grandchildren, Ian and Emma Andrews of Calgary. He was a kind and generous man who will be missed by all who were blessed to know him. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Evergreen Funeral Chapel, 16204 Fort Road, Edmonton. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. MATTHES, Daniel (Dan) Glen On Sunday, October 17, 2004 Dan Matthes of Edmonton passed away at the age of 43 years. Jacobsen, Lora (nee Larsen) On Tuesday, October 19, 2004 Lora Jacobsen of Fort Saskatchewan passed away at the age of 85 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimers. Left to cherish her memory are her loving son, Harold and daughter-in-law Shirley, four sisters, Elisabeth Christensen of South Dakota, Val (Elmer) Westergaard of Dickson, Ebba Larsen of Innisfail, Esther (Henry) Lambert of Winfield as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband Lawrence, two sisters Helen Larsen and Gudi Adolf and numerous family members and friends. We appreciate and are very thankful for the loving care provided to Mom by the staff of Rivercrest Care Centre, Fort Saskatchewan. FEW, MARGARET AILEEN (Ginger) Apr. 25, 1923 - Oct. 23, 2004 It is with sadness that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Ginger, Saturday October 23, 2004 at the University of Alberta Hospital.She was a gift from God that we shared - we were truly blessed. Ginger was a loving wife to Irwin for 60 years, mother to Sharon(Ray), Murray (Barb), Roberta (Gerald), Peggy (George), grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of 7. She was a WWII veteran, CPL. in the Communications Section, RCAF Womens Division. She took great joy in raising her children and later worked for the United Church of Canada for many years. An avid camper and square dancer, she was active for 60 years, frequently as navigator for son Murray on his dance calling dates. We will all miss her quick wit, sunny smile and gentle nature.
