It is with great sadness that the family of George Simpson announces his passing on January 18, 2005, at the age of 93. George will be lovingly remembered by his son David; his daughters Elizabeth (Ken) Willisko and Jane, his sisters Dorothy Simpson and Mary Kitchen; step grandchildren Tim (Mellissa) Willisko; Kevin (Melanie) Willisko; two great step grandchildren and nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his loving wife Doreen, and brother Gordon. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, February 4, 2005 at Strathcona Baptist Church 8318–104 St. at 2:00 P.M. After a courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s), it is with great sorrow that Rick’s family announces his passing on Friday January 28, 2005 at the age of 58 years, with his loving wife Brenda at his side. He will also be lovingly remembered by his son Jeff , daughter Leanne (Bill) Blais, brother Wayne (Mary Ann) and family, sister Lauren Jones of Calgary, mother-in-law Florence Hill and Aunt Jessie Jones of Edmonton, and many other family and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Agnes Jones and her husband Stan. Rick fought his disease head-on with dignity, strength & courage, just as he met all other challenges in his life. On Wednesday January 26, 2005, Albert Wesley of Edmonton passed away at the age of 78 years surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his brothers; Jack and Bob. On Thursday October 28, 2004, Lillian Kelley of Edmonton passed away at the age of 82 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children; Lynda (Glen), Florence (Claude), Doug and Fred, ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, sister Marguerite, sister-in law Marjorie, niece Sheila, and many other family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Merlin in 1990, three brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his daughter, Sonya Ruppel (Edward) of Edmonton, grandchildren, Irene (Andrew) of Tofield, AB, Lawrence of Kamloops, B.C., great-granddaughter Ani, his close and dear companion Irma Erdell of Edmonton, brothers Hugo and Alfred Liedtke of Germany, Aunt Jean Scheidt of Barrhead, sister-in-law Greta of Germany, nieces, nephew and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Lydia, September 1994 and brother Arthur Liedtke of Germany. The family would like to thank the Doctors and Staff at the Royal Alexandra Hospital for their care and support during Richard’s illness.
