On July 22, 2004, Mrs. Ivy HICKMORE of Edmonton passed away peacefully in her 90th year.
She is survived by her three sons: Tom and David of Edmonton and Herb of Parker CO., as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband William in 1969 and an infant daughter Elizabeth in 1951. Cremation has taken place and Ivy will be interred alongside William at a later date. Marga passed away, at the age of 76, after a lengthy illness on the morning of Sunday, February 6, 2005. Marga will be sadly missed by her husband John, their children; Carola Friesen (Allan), Joanne Lebel (Stephen), and John Okken (Nicola); and their five grandchildren Gordon Lebel, Caitlin Friesen, Lorianne Lebel, Jordan Okken and Christopher Okken. Marga was predeceased by her mother, Gretchen Kuehl.
Marga was born in Hamburg, Germany on January 27, 1929 and grew up in Barmstedt. She immigrated to Canada with her husband John in 1958 and eventually settled in Coalhurst, Alberta. Marga was very active in her community being a member of the Home and School Assn. as her children grew up and later was an active member of the 55+ Club. Marga especially enjoyed her family, her needlecraft, and her community of friends.
The Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Friday, February 11, 2005 at Christ Trinity Lutheran Church, 416 - 12th St South. Pastor Gary Nickel will officiate. Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the Christ Trinity Church.

Born in Stavely, he resided in Southern Alberta all his life and was a mechanic by trade. Vere - Anna (Bach) Vere, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at the Magrath Hospital at the age of 91 years. Born in Gstaad, Switzerland, on December 8, 1912 to Karl and Lisette (Schopfer) Bach, Anna emigrated with her family to southern Alberta in 1925. Anna was predeceased by her loving husband, Edward Gilbert Vere, and one granddaughter. She is the loving mother of Phillip Vere, Bert Vere, Linda (Wayne) Bourelle, Karen (Jeff) Porter, and Daniel Vere. Anna’s posterity includes 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She leaves to mourn, 2 sisters, 4 brothers and many nieces and nephews. A faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Anna served in Relief Society Presidencies, on several Stake Boards, was a Ward Librarian and Primary Teacher. She was fluent in three languages and had a great love for genealogy. She worked for many years in the French records in the Church's Name Extraction Program. Anna served a mission to her native Switzerland in 1979-1980. Stubborn, feisty, energetic, loving, and loyal, she also epitomized forgiveness, compassion, understanding, honour, and generosity. Her passing has removed our best example. She may not have been absolutely perfect, but we thought she was pretty darn close! Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Garden Place Chapel, Magrath, AB. Bishop Shane Gurney will be officiating. On September 23, 2000 Mrs. Bernadette Huot-Morin of St. Albert passed away peacefully at the age of 93.
She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her six children: Cora (Fernand) deChamplain, Claude (Irene) Huot, Madeleine (Marcel) Montpetit, Rolande (Len) Anthieren, Rachelle (Barry) Ford and Dan (Linda) Huot, twenty six grandchildren and many great- grandchildren.
Bernadette is also survived by her extended family, the Morins: Claire Hebert, Andre (Myra) Morin, Rene (Doris) Morin, Florence (Richard) Allen, Francoise (Norm) Meunier, their children and grandchildren as well as her sister-in-law Marie- Rose Tieulie, brother-in-law Paul Montpetit and numerous relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her first husband Denis Huot in 1960, her grandson Paul deChamplain in 1975 and her second husband Benoit Morin in 1977, as well as all her brothers and sisters.
A Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2000 at 7:30 p.m. at Howard & McBride Chapel of Chimes, 10179- 108th Street, Edmonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Albert Catholic Church, 7 St. Vital Avenue, St. Albert with Reverend Remi Hebert, C.Ss.R. celebrant.
