On October 29, 2003 we suffered an unbelievable loss of a good man, father, grandfather, brother and a great friend (with his coffee buddies) and to all that met and knew him.
We would like to extend special thanks for your calls, cards, letters, food, and words of comfort from Dad’s many, many friends.
We would like to sincerely thank Father Len Cadieux and Joanne Ference for their services; the Knights of Columbus, the 4th Degree Honorguard, 4th and 3rd Degree Honorary Pallbearers, the 3rd Degree Pallbearers; the Leduc Elks Lodge also as Honorguard; organists Karen Gramlich and Marlis Nickel and song leader Marie Labossiere, who gave us comfort in hearing dad’s favorite hymns; Ray Bolton for his heartfelt eulogy of Dad at the Prayers, Cory Kartz for his touching words of remembrance of his grandfather at the funeral mass and to Allan Hayduk and staff at Hainstock & Son Funeral Chapel for helping us through a difficult time. A special thank you to St. Michael’s CWL for preparing and serving the lovely funeral luncheon.

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Clara Louise Plitt of Leduc on November 2, 2003 at the age of 79 years.
Clara is survived by her loving family; sons; Richard (Doris) Bittner of Edmonton, Clarence (Linda) Bittner of Thorsby and Lynn (Judy) Bittner of Grande Prairie and daughter Annette (Larry) Gidosh of Warburg, grandchildren; Michelle (Marty) Haines, Michael (Karla) Bittner, Tyler (Marla) Bittner, Paula (Steve) Bittner, Kimberly Bittner, Sheyne Bittner, Kurt (Heather) Bittner, Jason (Michelle) Gidosh and Pamela (Rob) Dawe, great-grandchildren; Bryden, Easton, Christina, Andrew, Grier and Bruen, her step-children; Orville (Pearl) Plitt of Rollyview, Gary (Gail) Plitt of Leduc, Lyle (Debbie) Plitt of Rollyview and Sue-Ann Plitt of Edmonton and a step-son-in-law Bob Harrison. She is also survived by her brothers; Norman (Mary) Grams, Harold (Margaret) Grams and sisters; Myrtle Ansorger, Margaret (Mike) Sych and Doris (Peter) Owen and sister-in-law Natia Grams. Clara was predeceased by her 1st husband Albert Bittner in 1985 and her 2nd husband Wilbert Plitt in 1996 and her brothers; Wilfred, Ernest and Allen Grams, a sister Eileen Kjorlien and a step-daugther-in-law Darlene Harrison.
Visitation for family and friends was held on Tuesday, November 4, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Hainstock’s Funeral Chapel, 4802 - 47 Ave., Leduc. The Funeral Service was on Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Rollyview with Pastor James Kruger officiating.

Jess Donahue Ellis, of Edmonton
It is with sadness we announce the passing of Jess Ellis of Edmonton on October 17, 2003 at the age of 45 years.
Jess is survived by his loving family; son Levi Ellis of Edmonton, daughter Savannah Ellis of Beaumont, the mother of his children Barb Ellis of Breton, his mother Fern Burton of Edson, father Tom(Marilyn) Ellis of Warburg, step-mother Marion Ellis of St.Paul, grandmother Alice Ellis of Biggar, SK. his bother Shaun(Jeannine) Ellis and sisters; Shannon Ellis, Dallas Burton and Shannon Burton.
A memorial service was be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Warburg Community Centre, Warburg, Alberta with Pastor Phyllis Greenslade officiating.

Doreen Foulston nee: McQueen, of Beaumont
On Saturday, October 18, 2003, Doreen Foulston of Beaumont passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord, at the age of 74 years.
Doreen is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Lyall; 5 children; Craig of Beaumont, Dr. Charlotte Ann Foulston and her husband Barry Goodine of Medicine Hat, Deryl (Dr. Ray) Comeau of Red Deer, Dr. Ross (Dallas) Foulston of Wetaskiwin and Rhonda (Pat) Gobeil of Beaumont, 9 grandchildren; Thomas and Elliot Goodine, Ryan, Drew, Kent and Travis Comeau, Caelin Foulston, Damien and Janelle Gobeil, sisters; Lorna Ash of Gilbert Plains, Manitoba and Audrey (Don) Smith of Edmonton and numerous relatives and friends.
Doreen always had a love of the outdoors and animals, especially horses. Her dedication and love for horses and people won her the admiration and love of her friends of all ages. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Her gentle spirit touched the hearts of all who knew her.
A Memorial Service was held on Tuesday, October 23, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Vital Catholic Church, 4905 - 50 St., Beaumont, with the Reverend John Hesse as celebrant. Warren Walter Lessing, of Millet
On October 14, 2003, Warren Walter Lessing of Millet, Albert passed away at the age of 69 years.
He is survived by his loving wife Arlene of 46 years; son, Randal Lessing of Millet; daughter, Robin and Chris Taylor of San Antonio, Texas; grandsons, Timothy and Jonathan Lessing, Joshua and Lukas Taylor; his mother, Rose Lessing of Leduc; sister, Donna and Willie Kutzner or Ardrossan and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Walter Lessing and by his sister, Lorraine Pahl.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 21 at 1:00 pm at the Temple Baptist Church, Leduc. Interment to follow at the Wiesenthal Cemetery. Memorial tributes may be made to the Gideons or to the charity of one’s choice.

Albertina Klatt nee: Bilou, of Warburg
With sadness we announce the passing of, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Albertina Klatt.
Tina is survived by her loving husband Roy of 60 years, sons Harvey (Agnes), Ron (Cindy), and daughter Marian Molzan (Alfred); grandchildren, Russell (Pam) Klatt, Neil (Dale) Klatt, Christopher (Chandra) Klatt, Melissa Klatt Burgardt (Ryan), Matthew Klatt, Lyle Molzan, Arlene Molzan Moritz (Keith), and great-grandson Adam Moritz, as well as cousins, nieces and nephews. Tina was predeceased by an infant grandson, her parents and brothers.

Gordon (Mitch) Poburn, of Leduc
Gordon (Mitch) Poburn passed away September 15, 2003.
Mitch is survived by Nettie, the love of his life, his mother Lorraine Mitchell, his mother-in-law Anne Helkenberg. children and step-children, four sisters, one brother and their spouses, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of great friends.
At Mitch’s request, there will be no funeral service. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta or to the Palliative Care at the Leduc Community Hospital.

John "Andrew" Boily, of Leduc
On Saturday, September 6, 2003, John “Andrew” Boily affectionately known to his friends as “Nacho” was tragically taken from this world at the age of 17 years.
Andrew will be sadly missed by his mother Betty-Jean Emberley; brother Bradley Boily, grandparents; Marie Johnson, Harold & Evelyn Dickhout; great-grandmother Eleanor Lake; many close cousins, aunts, uncles as well as a huge extended family, Gram, Gramps E. and many, many wonderful friends.
Waiting at the gates of heaven for him with his wings were his cousin Amanda Eve and his and Brad’s faithful friend Milo.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 12, 2003 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Service, 5311 - 91 St., Edmonton. A celebration of Andrew’s life will be held on Monday, September 15, 2003 at 4:30 p.m. at the Leduc Family Worship Centre, 4310 - Black Gold Drive, Leduc.
