On Sunday, February 28, 2016 Bill Baron of Vegreville passed away at the age of 49 years.
Bill is survived by his loving family, his wife Marianne; children Brandon, Ashley, Stephanie, Shyla and Bailey. He leaves behind many who loved him including four sisters, Debbie (Leon) Lohman and their son Tyler, Sonia (Gerry) Stasiuk and their children Ryan (Tanis) , Robbie and Andy; Dianne (Bill) Campbell and their daughter Brittany; Joanne (Richard) Kuehn and their children Jaycen (Jody) and Michael (Anna Marie) ; along with all his friends, in-laws, co-workers and employees. Bill was predeceased by his parents William and Stella Baron.
Bill loved his adventures, including the addition of his Harley and Motorhome. He was a dedicated, hard working man that loved his music and tending to his garden. He was a great craftsman of many trades, anything to do with power tools and your hands, he was doing it. Bill and Marianne Baron were proud owners of the local Baron No Frills in Vegreville, AB. He gave as much back to the community as they gave to him. Love you sweetheart, we will meet in heaven.
A Liturgy of the Word will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Vegreville Social Centre (4802 - 47A St. Vegreville, AB) with Father Michael Schumacher officiating. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to “STARS .”
Ronald Paul Black
On Sunday, September 20, 2020, Mr. Ronald Black passed at way at his home in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 55 years. Ronald is survived by his parents; mother, Dianne Greer and step father, George Greer; brother, Brent (Connie) Greer and their family; sister, Lori (Eli) Skori and their families; as well as extended family and dear friends. He is predeceased by his father, Leslie Black; brother, Rick Black; as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents. No formal services to be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests any memorial contributions made in Ronnie’s name be made to the Wainwright Health Foundation CT Scanner Project.
Mrs. June Elaine Clausen
1929 - 2014
Mrs. June Elaine Clausen passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the age of 85 years. June was born on June 1, 1929 in Consort, Alberta to Ada and Russell McCarty and grew up on the family farm at Red Willow, Alberta. She attended the Wildrose School and in those days, there was no school bus so June had to walk the mile to school every day, often cutting through the fields to shorten the distance. June married Walter Clausen in 1952 and they lived in both British Columbia and Alberta in various towns for a period of time. June later moved back to the farm with her parents and for the last 20 years, she has lived with her brother and constant caregiver Marion McCarty in Red Willow and more recently in Stettler. June loved her flowers, her garden and spending time and visiting with friends. Although she struggled with her health for several years, June still very much enjoyed her quiet simple life. She was a kind and loving person and she will be missed by her family and friends. June was predeceased by her parents Ada and Russell McCarty, her twin brother Mervin (Mary) McCarty, sister Myrtle (Dave) Wilson, sister Rose (Ken) Goddard, Jim (Marsha) McCarty and by four infant brothers. She leaves behind to miss her dearly her brother and caregiver Marion McCarty, sister Ivis McCarty, brother Rolland McCarty and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. A funeral service will be held at the Stettler Seventh-Day Adventist Church on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. Following the funeral service, June will be laid to rest in the Red Willow Cemetery. KNOTT, Morgan Albert
April 23, 1937 – January 1, 2016
On Friday, January 1, 2016, Morgan Albert Knott of Vegreville, Alberta peacefully passed away at the age of 78 years.
Morgan is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Gwen; three daughters Kim (John) , Jackie (John) and Corinne (Wes) ; six grandchildren Cameron (Kristin) , Cody, David (Trisha) , Lyle, Anna Marie and Keeanu; six great-grandchildren Maren, Lindon, Avery, Keagan, Ryker and Harrison; two brothers Raymond and Kevin; three sisters Dorothy (Dennis) , Pat (Orval) and Alberta; sister-in-law Margaret. Morgan was predeceased by his son Glenn; his parents Albert and Annie Knott; one brother Floyd; one sister-in law Velma.
A Celebration of Morgan’s Life will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rock Ministries & Church in Vegreville with Pastor Wes Stefanec officiating. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment to follow at a later date in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the “The Rock Emergency Shelter Services.”
Rhonda Roadhouse
1956 - 2017
Rhonda Kay Roadhouse was born on July 8, 1956 to George and Elizabeth Pankiw in Stettler, Alberta.
She married her husband, Jim, on October 10, 1981 and shortly after they moved to Evesham, Saskatchewan where they raised 3 children; James, Jessie and Jeffrey. Rhonda loved to garden and spent the fall and even winter canning. She also loved dancing and taught many dancing lessons over the years in Evesham, Macklin and Provost.
She loved spending time with her 5 grandchildren; Devon, Kyle, Rilyn, Cam and Cody at Gravel Lake, camping, fishing, and she always cheered the hardest at all of their numerous sporting events. Rhonda had an infectious laugh, the kindest heart, and will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
Rhonda passed away in her home on June 14, 2017.
She is survived by her husband, Jim, children, James (Christine) and her children, Taylor and Wyatt; Jessie (Floyd) Whitney and their children, Devon and Kyle; Jeffrey (Kim) and their children, Rilyn, Cam and Cody; brothers, Geordie Pankiw, Kelvin Pankiw, Jim (Val) Pankiw; father in law, Bill (Ferne) Roadhouse; brother in law, John (Irene) Roadhouse; sisters in law, Kate and Janice Roadhouse; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Rhonda was predeceased by her parents, George and Elizabeth and mother in law, Helen Roadhouse.
Robert Sydney Goodwin
On Monday, November 9, 2020, Mr. Robert "Bob" Goodwin of Wainwright, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Viking Health Centre at the age of 86 years.
Bob will be missed by many friends and relatives.
In keeping with Bob's wishes, no formal service will be held.
DAVIS, Ernest (Bud)
May 24, 1925 – September 26, 2016
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bud Davis of Vegreville, Alberta on Monday, September 26, 2016 at the age of 91 years.
Bud is survived by his loving daughter Lorraine (Bernie) Kisilewich of Bonnyville; grandson Vincent of Bonnyville; sister Ethel McNeilly of Hagersville, Ontario; brothers-in-law Steve (Liz) Kuchik of Vegreville and Bill (Ann) Kuchik of Mannville; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Bud was predeceased by his beloved wife Olga; sister Mary (Fred) Green; along with his parents Herb and Eunice Davis.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Vegreville United Church with Reverend Carolyn Woodall officiating. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to “STARS.”
Peter Alferd Lemon
1929 - 2017
Peter Alferd Lemon, age 87, passed away on March 2, 2017 at the Provost Health Center. He was born August 25, 1929 in New Liskeard, Ontario to Percy and Edith (Garvin) Lemon.
At a young age, Peter worked at his dad’s grocery store, as a stock boy and clerk. He also put on many miles delivering groceries in the neighbourhood. In his early twenty’s Peter started working for the Hydro. Being single he moved about and eventually met his wife Helvi Sandelin. They were married February 28, 1953 in Kirkland Lake. They settled in New Liskeard. Here he raised his family and spent his working life at Rexwood as an electrician.
His love of golfing, fishing, and curling was shared with his wife. Peter was a great story teller. He often shared his adventures with friends and his children. From putting a bear cub in a bunk house to mining underground, he kept his audience entertained.
He is survived by his sister Doris Hunter. Left to cherish his memories are his children Sandra (Greg) , Glen (Helen) , Chris and Linda (John) . He will also be missed by his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Peter was predeceased by his wife Helvi, brother Don and son-in-law Greg Brown.
MARCINOWSKI William Jack
June 1st, 1928 – May 30th, 2016
William is survived by his wife Pearl; daughter Deborah (Gerry Fischer) of Tiverton, Ontario; sons Clayton (Bev Antle) of Clyde, AB., Morris (Bonnie) Spalding of Saskatchewan, & Roger (Helena) of Ottawa, Ontario; grandkids Jessica, Kaycee, Keelan, Lisa, Rita, Clayton, Randi, William, Jake & Luka; great grandkids, Justin & Matthew; sisters, Helen Boyd (Bob) , Dorothy Miller, Verna Lepine, Theresa Bendick, as well as a large circle of family & friends. He was predeceased by Joseph, Adela, Nadja, Stancy, Anjanette & Julia. There will be a Memorial Service Saturday June 4th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Westlock Funeral Home.
