It is with deep sadness that the family of Eugene Komarnisky of Sundre, Alberta, formerly of Vegreville, announce his passing.
Eugene is survived by his loving family: brother Morris (Marianne) and their daughter Tammy (Ryan) Myskiw: sister Kristine (John) Huley and their children Nola (Charles) Edwards, Kyla (Mark) Stienke and Tara Huley (Matthew) : brother Dennis and his children Jana and Travis: sister-in-law Nellie Komarnisky and her children Michael (Bernice) and Wanda (Michael) Benning; along with numerous relatives and friends. Eugene was predeceased by his parents John and Katherine Komarnisky and his brother Leonard Komarnisky.
A Parastas (Funeral ) Service will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church in Vegreville, Alberta with the Basilian Fathers officiating. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations may be made to the Charity of One’s Choice. Inurnment to follow at a later date in Riverside Cemetery.
Gordon Kenneth Goddard
On Thursday, April 14, 2016 Mr. Gordon Goddard of Wainwright, Alberta passed away at the Wainwright Auxiliary Hospital at the age of 85 years. Gordon is survived by his loving wife, Pat; three children, Teresa (Ray) Salls of Boyle, Alberta, Denise (David) Bakland of Amisk, Alberta, Tracy (Jennifer) Goddard of Wainwright; daughter-in-law, Donna Goddard of St. Paul, Alberta; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one sister, Florence (Vern) Burger of Hay River, NWT; one sister-in-law, Joan Goddard of Wainwright. Gordon was predeceased by two sons Kenneth and Dale. A Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at !:00 PM from the St. Thomas Anglican Church, Wainwright with Reverend Ann Marie Nicklin officiating. Interment will follow in the Wainwright Cemetery. If so desired the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the local charity of the donors choice.
TYMCHUK, Reginald Gerald
October 4, 1937 – December 23, 2015
On Wednesday, December 23, 2015, Reginald Gerald Tymchuk of Vegreville, Alberta passed away at the age of 78 years.
Reginald will be remembered by his loving family: Wanda (Tim) and their son Ritchie: Darcy (Tracy) and their children Dayton, Karlee and Kamdyn: Tammy: Karen (Shaun) and their son Lucas; one sister Mary Jane; along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Reginald was predeceased by his wife Dorothy; his parents Jack and Alice Tymchuk; his parents in law George and Zelda Giebelhaus; brother in law Harry Graschuk.
Cremation has taken place. A gathering of friends will be announced at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Salem United Church Fund.
Ted Eugene Knox
Ted was born on August 4, 1923 in Macklin, Saskatchewan to Albert and Minnie Knox. He had two brothers (Gordon and Charlie) and one sister (Mamie) . He was raised on the family farm north of Macklin.
On March 17, 1947 Ted married Dorothy Miller in Camrose, Alberta. This past St. Patrick's Day would have been their 70th wedding anniversary. They had four children (Ken, Bobby, Debra, Keith) . Ted and Dorothy lived in Hayter and finally settled in Provost.
When Ted wasn't farming he was a fixture at Wilmar Implements John Deere dealership where he worked for close to 40 years. When he wasn't on the farm or at Wilmar's, Ted could be found working around the yard at home. He loved to be outdoors.
Although Ted was very much a home body he did manage to do some travelling. The destinations included Hawaii, Mexico, California and a few trips to Las Vegas.
In June of 1999, after suffering a stroke, Ted moved into Alternate Housing at the Provost Health Care Centre where he remained until his passing.
Ted willl be forever remembered by his two sons, Ken Knox (Theresa Page) , Keith Knox (Jason Ropert) ; grandchildren, Shane (Joyce) Knox, Dallas (Keith) Johnston; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Cody, Devon, Kolby; brother in law, Benny Miller; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Ted was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy; infant daughter, Debra; son, Bobby; daughter in law, Wendy.
Annie Katherine Svoboda
On Thursday, September 24, 2020 Mrs. Annie Svoboda of Lloydminster and formerly of St. Walburg passed away at Pioneer House in Lloydminster at the age of 84 years.
Keeping Annie in the hearts and memories is her husband Ray of Lloydminster, Son Douglas (Lou) Svoboda of Marshall; Daughter Debbie (Mel) Bardoel of Clandonald; Grandchildren Kyle and Kaylee Bardoel; Sister Emma Craig of Paradise Hill; Brothers Carl and Alberta Hoffman of Paradise Hill; Sisters-in-law Francis Hoffman of Paradise Hill and Helen Hoffman of Marwayne.
She was predeceased by her parents Anthony and Katherine Hoffman; brothers Anton (Joy) Hoffman, Frank Hoffman and Peter Hoffman.
A family service for Annie will be held at a later date.
Donations in memory of Annie may be made to the charity of choice.
Ted Alan Woods

Died: Sun Jan 13, 2013
Mr. Ted Woods formerly of Big Valley and more recently of Lacombe, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the Red Deer Hospice at the age of 67 years. Ted is survived by his loving children Christine (Wade) Stormoen, Shannon (Barry) Harvey and Neil (Jacki) Woods. As well as his common-law-wife Myrna Mackam, twelve grandchildren Corey Stormoen (Pamela) , Ryan Stormoen (Angela) , Paul Harvey, Jessica Harvey, Rebecca Harvey, Sean Woods, Eric Woods, Scot Woods, Bret Woods, Dayn Woods, Caitland Davidson and Kristen Davidson, great-grandchild Carter Bailey, sister Mary (Ray) Rindal and brothers Gary (Norma) Woods and Ken Woods. A funeral service to commemorate Ted's life will be held at the Big Valley Jubilee Hall on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. with the Pastor Ross Helgeton officiating. As an expression of sympathy and in loving memory of Ted, memorial contributions may be made to the Red Deer Hospice Society in care of Brennen Funeral Home and Cremation Services P.O. box 193 Stettler, Alberta TOC 2LO who have been entrusted with the care and arrangements.

On Thursday, July 25, Mrs Barbara Kiziak of Derwent passed away at the Vermilion Health Centre at the age of 65 years.
Barbara is survived by her loving, husband Marshall Kiziak of Derwent; Son Jason Kiziak of Derwent; Daughters Trina (Jeremy) Fisher of Vermilion and Pamela (Barry) Robinson of Edmonton; Grandsons Gray Robinson and Remy Fisher, Mother Jennie Zack of Vermilion; Sister Ruby Schile-Juss of Medicine Hat; Brothers Tom (Linda) Zack and Bill (Marion) Zack both of Derwent; Sisters and Brothers-in-law Henry and Mildred, Orest, Lena and Mike, Elizabeth, Marshall and Sandra as well as numerous nieces and nephews
She was Predeceased by her Father John Zack and Father and Mother-in-law Joseph and Mary Kiziak; Sisters-in-law Olga Eliuk and Mary-Anne Kiziak; Brothers-in-law Victor Prystawa and George Juss.
A Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday, July 31 at 7:00 p.m. at the Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Church in Derwent.
Divine Liturgy and Funeral Service will be at Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Church, Derwent on Thursday, August 1, at 10:00 a.m.

Donna Margaret Rudyk
On Sunday, September 20, 2020 Donna Rudyk passed away in the Misericordia Community Hospital, Edmonton, at the age of 67 years. Donna is forever loved and remembered by her Loving Sons Simon (Melissa) Black of Fort Saskatchewan, Adam (Kendra) Black of Marwayne; Grandchildren Madeline, Ben and Daylyn; Brother Jymm Vinall of Red Deer; Dearerst Friend Monalynn Sawatsky of Vermilion; Dearest Furbaby Charlie; as well as all her extended family, UFA Family and all of her dear friends who she cherished deeply.
She was predeceased by her Loving Husband Mark Rudyk in March 2019; Parents James and Adeline Vinall.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. St. Andrew’s Cemetery, with fellowship to follow at the Rudyk Farm.

KULMATYCKI, Steve Andrew
August 18, 1942 – May 5, 2017
On Friday, May 5, 2017, Steve Andrew Kulmatycki of Vegreville passed away at the age of 74 years.
Steve is survived by his sisters Harriet (Don) Sarafinchan and Loucette (Elo) Paziuk and their families; his son Trent and his family; as well as numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Steve was predeceased by his parents Jack and Anne Kulmatycki; sister Lily Motiuk; brother-in-law Albert Motiuk and niece Nicole Sarafinchan.
Cremation has taken place and at Steve’s request a private family service will be held. Memorial donations may be made to the “Alberta Diabetes Foundation – c/o 1-020 HRIF-East University of Alberta, Edmonton, AB, T6G 2E1.”
