Lena passed away peacefully on February 6th, 2018. She was born to John and Mary Demurak, the second oldest of six girls. On July 20th, 1950, she married Mike Yaremko. Together they raised three children; Janice (Robert) Tinant, Bill (Leslie) Yaremko and Rose (Gary) Kohlsmith. She is also survived by five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Lena loved the Clyde Community and all her neighbors in which she was very activeShe was involved in the Clyde United Church and Choir, the UCW and the AG Society. She curled, bowled, and went to most events at the drop in centre. Lena was known for her great big roasters of hundreds of little tasty cabbage rolls. She loved the farm and was busy all the time. Her garden was also amazing and she was a very hard worker. Her family gives thanks for the wonderful gift she was in their lives. She was the best of mothers and made her children, grandchildren, and grandchildren many fond memories. She will be missed and mourned but never forgotten. She was an extremely caring, kindhearted, gentle and giving person. A celebration of Life will be held Friday, March 2nd, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Westlock Funeral Home with Reverend Lilley Glebe officiating. Interment at Dungannon Cemetery. PANKONIN, Rodney William
September 13, 1968 - February 4, 2018
It is with great sorrow and love that the family of Rodney Pankonin announces the peaceful passing on February 4, 2018 at the age of 49 years.
Rodney will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his loving family; wife Teena, children Corbyn (Brandon) and Jory (Dayna). Parents Cliff and Wendy Pankonin; sisters Barb (Greg) Kostiw and Darlene Pankonin. Along with numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 1:30 pm @ the Trinity Lutheran Church, Westlock, AB.

Edna Stella Berg
1942 - 2017
It is with immense sadness that we grieve the sudden passing of Edna Stella Berg; beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. On May 1, 2017 Edna passed away at the Provost Health Centre at the age of 75 years.
Edna is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Alfred; and will be sadly missed by her 3 daughters, Donna (Jason), Wanda (Rick) and Linda (Blaine) ; all of her grandchildren; Amanda, Leanna (Mark), Brittany, Teakin, Shallon, Rayna, Christopher and great granddaughter, Ava.
She will also be sadly missed by sisters, Emily (Ray), Kathy (Dave) and Josie (John). As well as her many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Edna was predeceased by her parents, Metro and Mary Repchuk; brothers, Laurie and Allen; and grandson, Micheal.

ELIUK, Rose (nee Ripka)
October 13, 1923 – October 10, 2016
On Monday, October 10, 2016, Mrs. Rose Eliuk of Vegreville, Alberta, formerly of Hairy Hill passed away at the age of 92 years.
Rose is survived by her loving family, her children Lorraine Sybulka, Richard (Debbie), Ron (Shelly) and Cheryl (Jerry) Lyzaniuk; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren Rhonda Eliuk-Benn (Jon) and their daughters Ava and Katie: Tracy Eliuk (Todd): and Blayne (Pam) along with their children Bennett and Harrison; one brother-in-law Andrew (Medoria) Eliuk; along with numerous relatives and friends. Rose was predeceased by her husband Tom S. Eliuk; son-in-law John Sybulka; parents Nick and Elizabeth Ripka; one brother Mike (Fiona) Ripka; one sister Helen (Peter) Gorgichuk.
A Funeral Rite will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. Vladimir in Vegreville, Alberta with Very Reverend Father Slawomir Lomaszkiewicz officiating. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to “Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. Vladimir” or the charity of one’s choice.
Laurence George Johnson

Laurence George Johnson was born in Edmonton, Alberta on June 10, 1934 and passed away April 19, 2012 at Stettler Alberta. Laurie was predeceased by his father Orvel Johnson in 1939, his stepfather Harold Websdale in 1984, his mother Edith Websdale in 2006 and sister Barbara Hagen in 2007.
Laurie is survived by his brother Edwin (Doris) Johnson of Penticton, BC, sister Orlean (Herb) Clausen of Red Bluff, CA, brother in law Jack Hagen of Smithers, BC, sister Angie (Byron) Lennox of Swift Current, SK, brother Frank Websdale of Ponoka, AB, brother Claire (Sandra) Websdale of Millet, AB, Shannon (Lynne) Websdale of Grimshaw, AB, numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many dear friends.
Alice Gladys Stewart

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved; Gladys Stewart of Smithfield Lodge in Westlock, Alberta, formerly of Perryvale, Alberta. She passed away peacefully Friday, February 16th, at the Long Term Care of Westlock Healthcare Centre at the age of 89. Loving wife of Wes Stewart and special aunt, great- aunt, great-great aunt and great- great-great to numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves to mourn her loss, half-brother, Don Lewis and family, sister-in-law Phyllis and family, brother-in-law Henry Skrypnek and family and numerous friends. Gladys was predeceased by her parents, Art and Alice Lewis; sisters, Nellie, Edna, and Elsie; brothers Willard and Fred; sister-in-law Eva Lewis, brother-in-laws, John Locher and Steve Sobkowich and step-mother, Molly Lewis. Gladys began her life at the old stopping place at Perryvale on September 7th, 1928. She was the 5th child of Art and Alice Lewis. Her schooling was taken at Perryvale for grades 1 to 9, and then at the Old Brick School in Athabasca for grade 10. This was followed by a couple years helping on the farm and working at the Perryvale General Store and Post Office. She had many stories and fond memories of life on the farm. In July 1947, she met Wesley Stewart, who was employed in the oilfield working near Perryvale. They were married on March 30th, 1948 in Edmonton. They lived in many different places in Saskatchewan and Alberta while Wes continued his work in the oil industry. They later went into the small grocery store business, and also opened the first Dairy Bar in Drayton Valley, Alberta. Wes retired in 1980 at which time they settled at their acreage in Perryvale, Alberta; later moving to Karagana Court in Westlock. A very special thanks to Dr. Benard and the staff of east wing and long term care for the extra care and attention. At Gladys’s request, no formal service will be held, cremation has taken place and a family burial and luncheon will be held April 7th, 2018. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the AHS Westlock Healthcare Equipment Fund. Westlock Funeral Home & Crematorium Ltd, in charge of all arrangements.
Kshyk, Peter Roy
August 21, 1955 - May 21, 2017
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Roy Kshyk of Vegreville, Alberta. He passed on May 21, 2017 at the age of 61 on a sun kissed day, with wind on his face, doing what he loved - riding his Harley.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 30 years Alice, son Corey (girlfriend Chantelle), daughters Breanne and Pamela (boyfriend Jeff), grand-daughter Justine, brother Harry and sisters Patt and Freida, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and relatives. Peter was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Jenny Kshyk.
A Funeral Mass and celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 30th, 2017 at the Vegreville Social Centre, 4802-47 A Street, Vegreville, AB. with Father Luan Vu as the Celebrant. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the “Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta.”
Jesse Aylsworth Cole

Died: Thu Mar 22, 2012
Mr. Jesse Aylsworth Cole passed away on March 22, 2012 at the age of 84 years. He is survived by his sister Alice Wood of Cobble Hill, BC, and foster son William Robert of Bonnyville, AB as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Jesse is also survived by his very special friends Louis and Eleanor Richaud. He was predeceased by his wife Martha, sisters Hazel McNabb, Edna Hanson, Edith Nikirk and Letty Cole and by brothers Clarence, Claude and Richard and also by his parents Arthur and Olive Cole. Jesse was born Dec. 24 1927 on the family farm at Heisler, Alberta and attended the Grove School. At a young age Jesse worked on the merchant ships experiencing many cultures and sailing to many countries of the world. When he returned home, he married Martha Nelson of Red Willow and began farming and ranching, something they loved to do together. Jesse was a true horseman as everything he did involved horses. From a young boy riding horseback to school, to rodeoing and winning numerous awards for bronc riding, and lastly to owning and racing standard bred horses. Jesse was also a very proud member of the Standard Bred Horseman’s Association. Jesse loved to laugh and tell stories and will be fondly remembered by all. A memorial graveside service will be held at the Hastings Coulee Cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy and in loving memory of Jesse, memorial contributions may be made to the Hastings Coulee Cemetery Fund in care of Brennen Funeral Home and Cremation Services P.O. Box 193 Stettler, Alberta TOC 2LO who have been entrusted with the care and arrangements.
McAllister (Clifford) Sandra “Jean”
February 21, 1945 – February 18, 2018
With great sadness we let you know that my friend, my love, my wife Jean, lost her long and courageous battle with Cancer. She will be remembered and missed by her loving husband Al, her brother Jack (Rosalie), her son Ryan, Roxanne, her daughter Mylee (Lee) and her step daughters Vicki and Marsha (Cam). Also by her grandchildren Lindsey, Liam, Nicholas, Cash and Braxie.
A very special thank you to the special people at the Westlock Hospital, Barrhead Community Cancer Center, Cross Cancer Center and the Associate Medical clinic for the compassion and care given to Jean.
Jean will be cremated and a celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
