It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved baby Miles.
Miles is survived by his loving parents Brent and Leanne of Carrot Creek, Alberta, His maternal grandparents John and Jeanette Van Meetelen of Edmonton, Alberta, His paternal grandparents Ron and Janet De Leeuw of Carrot Creek, Alberta, maternal great grandparents John and Femmie Depee of Edson, Alberta and paternal great grandmother Elizabeth De Leeuw of Edmonton, Alberta.
Also surviving are his aunts and uncles: Vernanda (Mark) Buwalda and family of Rimbey, Alberta, Julie (Zane) Davis and family of Hattonford, Alberta, Darryl (Cindy) De Leeuw and family of Niton, Alberta, Dwayne Van Meetelen and Jodie Van Meetelen, both of Edmonton, Alberta as well as numerous other relatives.
Miles was predeceased by his great grandfather John De Leeuw in 1985, Margaret Van Meetelen in 1996, John Van Meetelen in 1997, Theresa Van Wieren in 2008 and Donald Van Meetelen in 1986.
A graveside service was held at the Carrot Creek Cemetery on Monday, June 28th, 2008 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Paul Van Stralen officiating.

DENNISON, DONALD JAMES
Don Dennison of Edson, Alberta passed away on June 27th, 2010 at the age of 75. Don is survived by his loving wife Dian and his children: Denise (Don) Miller and their children; Raelene, Tara and Robyn (Danny) Martin, Roxanne (Doug) Setzer and their children; Jason (Karli) and their children Kayle and Denton, Darrel (Keli) and Tyler (Carling), Gavin (Mariea) and their children Devin and Josh, Delwyn (Cindy) and their children Aaron (Reanne), Alanna and Tayla, Trudy (Jeff) Price and their children Brianne, Evan, Wesley, Wageyah and Mugahshu. Don is also survived his brother Doug (Wanda) and his sister Gaile Eisler.
A memorial service for Don will be held on July 2nd, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Carrot Creek Community Hall, Carrot Creek, Alberta .

SCHROEDER (WILLIAMSON), LANA GAY
With profound sadness, the family of Lana Schroeder, wish to announce her passing on December 30, 2009 at Hinton, Alberta . Lana was 43 years old.
Left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory is her loving family; husband, Richard Williamson and son, Kenny Williamson both of Hinton, Alberta; Lana’s mother, Edna Armstrong of Hinton, Alberta and siblings; Dave Schroeder of Kamloops, British Columbia, Luanne (Bill) Gosney of Hinton, Alberta, Ken (Susan) Schroeder of Westlock, Alberta, Bob Schroeder of Hinton, Alberta, Brian (Alanna) Schroeder of Red Deer, Alberta, sister in law, Sheryl (Ross) Tyler of Edmonton, Alberta, step brothers Steven Schroeder of Kamloops, British Columbia and Keith Schroeder of Vancouver, British Columbia. Also surviving Lana is her very special “Sister by Choice” Dianne (Mark) Dudley of Leduc, Alberta; Paul Williamson of Hamilton, Ontario and Shirley Williamson of Holden, Alberta . Lana is survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of very good friends. She will be greatly missed by so many.
Lana was predeceased by her fathers, Delbert Armstrong and Erwin Schroeder; and her very special friend, Jeannette Ganong.
Memorial Services for Lana were held on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Hinton Community Center with Pastor John Klassen officiating the service. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of a floral tribute the family suggests that a donation be made to the Williamson-Schroeder family to help Richard and Kenny through this difficult time.

GORING, ALLAN ALBERT
It is with great sadness, that the family of Allan Goring, announce his passing on July 24th, 2009 in Grande Cache, Alberta . Allan was 77 years old.
Left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory is his loving family; wife, Jo Goring of Grande Cache and Allan’s daughters Debbie Coventry and daughter Tanya James and great grand daughters Makayla and Kamaya all of Vancouver, British Columbia; and daughter Leslie Goring of Whitehorse, Yukon . Allan is survived by two sisters, Eleanor (Morley) Ries of Biggar, Saskatchewan and Verna Tangierd of Melville, Saskatchewan . Allan is also survived by his stepchildren, Linda, Ken, and James Ticiniski and family; Terry (Dale) Kinney and family, and Wayne (Lynette) King and family. He is fondly remembered and survived by many relatives and close friends.
Most of Allen’s life had been dedicated to the work of St. Johns Ambulance Service, and was a life member and past president of Grande Cache’s Lions Club where he received the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award. He joined St. John Ambulance Service in 1963 and had been involved ever since, helping those in the RCMP, Armed Forces, Boy Scouts, Girl Guides and Fire and Ambulance Services. Allan was decorated with the prestigious Governor General’s Medal for Distinguished Service in Ottawa in 1978 for service with the St Johns Ambulance. He received his 25 year service award with St Johns Ambulance Service in Edmonton in 1983. Allan had come to Grande Cache as a First Aid Attendant with Macintyre Porcupine 1969 and then as First Aid Supervisor with Smoky River Coal; he also taught mine first aid. His life was helping others. He will be greatly missed.
Memorial Services for Allan will take place on August 13th, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Pineview Alliance Church in Grande Cache, Alberta with Pastor Brad Shellenberg presiding. Cremation has taken place.

CARLTON, KENNETH IAN
With a heavy heart, the family of Ken Carlton of Edson, Alberta announces his passing at home on July 26, 2009. Ken was 61 years old.
Left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory is his loving family; daughter, Sandy (Matt) Carlton and their daughter Lily of Drayton Valley, Bobby (Cassie) Carlton and their son Liam of Red Deer, Alberta, and son Jimmy Carlton of Red Deer, Alberta . Ken is also survived by his step mother Rena of Ontario and one sister, Dianne (Bill) Evans of Kanata, Ontario. Ken leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and a host of good friends.
Ken was predeceased by his parents, Herbert and Gertrude Carlton.
Memorial services were held on Friday, July 31, 2009 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 51 in Edson, Alberta at 1:00 PM with Worship Leader Kimberly Roy having presided over the service. Cremation has taken place.

MARSHALL, Dale Frank
Dale Frank Marshall passed away peacefully in the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital on Sunday, May 25th, 2008. Dale was born in Lloydminster, Sask., April 5th, 1923.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Beth Marshall (nee Pettigrew), his daughter Linda and husband Richard Lutz, grandchildren, Grant (Theresa), Brian (Charmaine), Karin (Marc), great grandchildren, Brooke, Kai, and Trey. Dale is also survived by his four brothers, Paul (Corrine), Dean ( Pearl ), Dennis (Lillian), and Rex (Karin), and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Bob in July 2007.
Dale’s working career was with the CNR for over 40 years out of Edson and Edmonton .
His passion in life was his love of music and sound. His production of sound with nature films led to recognition in, the, and abroad.
Funeral services for Dale Marshall will be held on Saturday, May 31st, 2008 at 3:00 pm, at the Foothills Memorial Chapel in Edson Alberta. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery, Edson, Alberta .

Peter Chermen
Born: Fri., Sep. 4, 1925
Died: Sun., Sep. 7, 2014
On September 7th, 2014, Peter Chermen of Edson, Alberta passed away at the age of 89 years.
Left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory, his loving daughters, Shirley (Gerry) Stoddart and their children Amy and Brent of Calgary, Alberta and Noreen (Terry) Carter and their children Jeffrey and Christopher of Edson, Alberta. Also surviving is his sister Minnie Tomkow and family of St. Albert, Alberta & sister in law Marj Crawford and family of Calgary, AB.
There are numerous other relatives and a host of friends left to mourn as well Peter was predeceased by his wife Florence on August 10th, 2004 and his parents John and Annie.
Following cremation, a memorial service was held on Saturday, September 13th, 2014 at 2:00PM at Edson United Church With Rev. Kimberly Roy officiating. In lieu of other tributes, donations if desired may be directed to the Edson and District Healthcare Centre for Long Term Care, 4716 - 5th Ave., Edson, Alberta, T7E 1S8 in memory of Peter Chermen.
