It is with deep regret and profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved daughter Shandy on January 8th, 2015 at the age of 11 years.
Shandy is survived by her parents Rob and Barbie of Edson, Alberta, her brothers Drake at home and Torry (Darlene) and family of Olds, Alberta.
Also surviving, her maternal grandparents Karen and Del Brown of Edson, Alberta and paternal grandparents George and Juanita Reichenbacher of Olds, Alberta, her aunts and uncles; Debbie Wager of Edson, Alberta, Kelli (Sonia) Brown and family of Vancouver, BC, Tammy (Tec) Hiemer and family of Didsbury, Alberta, James (Ali) Reichenbacher and family of Olds, Alberta, Edward Reichenbacher of Olds, Alberta and Steven (Makyee) Reichenbacher of Calgary, Alberta.
There are numerous other relatives and many friends left to mourn as well.
Shandy was predeceased by her great grandmother Margarete Schmidt in 2010.
Following cremation, a memorial service to celebrate Shandy’s life was held on January 16th, 2015 at 3:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion in Edson, Alberta with Pastor Steve Rigby officiating.
Special thanks to Dr. Smith, Dr. Davies, and Dr. Kamadien as well as Marilyn Oishi and the Edson Homecare team for all their help and support during Shandy’s final days.

Rose Chaluk (nee Chomcey)
December 11th, 1931 – January 7th, 2015
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rosalia Charitas (Rose) Chaluk of Edson, Alberta, on January 7th, 2015.
Left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory; her daughter Crystal Chaluk, sons Ken (Mary Jayne) Chaluk, Dave Chaluk, and Brian Chaluk all of Edson, Alberta, daughter Sharon Pittet of Osoyoos, British Columbia, son Doug Chaluk of Kelowna, British Columbia, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and her beloved little dog Vivee.
Rose was predeceased by her husband Ken Chaluk, her parents John and Rose Chomcey, brothers Jerry Chomcey and Denny Chomcey, sister Anne Morrow, twin sister Ollie Yakimchuk, and son-in-law Guy Pittet.
At Rose’s request, there will not be a service. Interment of cremated remains will take place at a later date.
Dorothy (Desjarlais) Heigh
Born: Wed., Oct. 24, 1934
Died: Sun., Dec. 28, 2014
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy Virginia Heigh (Desjarlais) at the age of 80 years on December 28th, 2014 in Edmonton, Alberta.
She was born on October 23rd, 1934 in Marlboro, Alberta.
Left to mourn is her brother Sonny Desjarlais (Liz) and their children of Marlboro, Alberta, sisters Edith Loyer and her sons from Villenueve, Alberta, Leona of Chetwynd, British Columbia and Isabel Ann Rebalkin and her daughter of Stettler, Alberta.
Dorothy was predeceased by her parents Elsie and Deome, her brother Solomon and sisters Mary, Gladys, Terry and Ruth.
Memorial services was held on Friday, January 9th, at 11:00 AM at the Marlboro Community Hall, Marlboro, Alberta, led by Pastor Gayle Findlay.
Cremation has taken place.

Dennis Patrick MacDonald
Died: Fri., Mar. 18, 2016
On March 18th, 2016, Dennis Patrick MacDonald, beloved husband of Lucinda, passed away in Edson, Alberta at the age of 75 years.
Besides his loving wife Lucinda, Dennis is survived by his daughter Tania (John) Mackaskill of Estevan, Saskatchewan and step son John McDonald of Kamloops, British Columbia and six grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings: William MacDonald and family and Sylvia Roads and family, all of Edson, Alberta and numerous other relatives including nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Dennis was predeceased by his parents, his brother Johnny MacDonald and niece Kathy MacDonald.
A wake service was held on Tuesday, March 22nd, 2016 at 6:00 PM at the Marlboro Community Hall, Marlboro, Alberta and funeral services followed on Wednesday, March 23th, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Marlboro Community Hall.

Lloyd Bennet Larsen
July 11, 1927 ~ March 14, 2016
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Lloyd Larsen on March 14, 2016 at the age of 88 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Thelma; his children Wendy, Brian (Charlotte), Patsy (Colin), Arlee (Bonnie) ; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Lloyd was predeceased by his father Ben; mother Ethel; brothers Leonard and Harold; sister Hazel; and his son-in-law Darryl Drew.
A celebration of his life was held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 12:30 pm at the Fulham Community Hall (Hwy 32 North of Peers, AB). Interment took place in Shining Bank Cemetery, Shining Bank, Alberta.
The family would like to thank the staff of Misericordia Hospital for their care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers donation can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society of Alberta and NWT, 200-325 Manning Road N.E. Calgary, Alberta T2E 2P5 in memory of Lloyd Larsen.
KOZAK, Walter
On March 6th, 2016, Walter Kozak of Edson, Albert passed away at the age of 84 years.
Walter is survived by his son Kevin Kozak of Edson, Alberta, his siblings: George Kozak and family of Castlegar, British Columbia and Olga Crylick and family of Edmonton, Alberta.
There are numerous other relative and many friends left to mourn.
Walter was predeceased by his parents and nine siblings.
At his request cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.

Maria Jydyk
Born: Sat., Jan. 2, 1932
Died: Mon., May 18, 2015
On May 18th, 2015, Maria passed away in Jasper at the age of 84 years.
Left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory, her loving family: son Zenik (Luba) Jydyk, daughter Olga (Igor) Pavlyachek all in the Ukraine, daughter Lessia (John) Kontos and their daughter Yulia Kontos all of Jasper, Alberta. Also surviving are six grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Maria was predeceased by her husband Ivan, her son Michael in infancy and her parents Ivan and Barbara.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, May 23rd, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of the Lourdes Catholic Church in Jasper with Father Miroslaw Kostarzewsky officiating and interment will follow in the Jasper Park Cemetery.
CARTWRIGHT, Helen
We regret to announce the passing of Helen Cartwright on May 14, 2015, in Edmonton, Alberta, at the age of 75 years.
Helen is survived by her loving husband Bill of Edson, Alberta, and sadly missed and forever loved by her daughter’s Jeanne Cartwright and Paula Niehaus and her brother Pete (Wanda) Haire.
She will never be forgotten by her grandchildren Sheila (Barry) Colpitts, and Shaun and Aaron Cartwright as well as great grandchildren Brianna, Cassidy, Sam and Haden.
She will also be missed by her Nephews Darren (Leanne) and their son Spencer and Tyler (Amy) Haire as well as step children Carla, Carrie, Crystal, Coral, Chandra, Callie, Chad and their families along with numerous other relatives and many friends.
Helen was predeceased by her first husband Joseph Harold Douglas and parents Clifford and Jeanne Haire.
The Funeral Service was held on Friday, May 22, 2015, at 1:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edson, Alberta, with Father Josilito Cantal officiating.
Viewing took place prior to the service.
Interment followed in Glenwood Cemetery, Edson, Alberta.
