RAMAGE, Roderick

RAMAGE, Roderick M. (Eric) - It is with sadness we announce the passing of Eric on October 8, 2006 in Edmonton. Eric was born in Markerville, 1928 to Andrew and Ann Ramage. He took his schooling at Old Holu and Markerville. He moved to Red Deer in early 1950's and formed his own business "Ramage Tinsmith & Sheetmetal Company". Moving to Calgary with his brothers & company, staying in business for many years. Later on he formed "Ramage Real Estate" until his retirement. Survived by his wife Isabelle and children, three brothers, Allen, Calgary, Gordon, South Carolina, Steve, Victoria B.C. and Don, Red Deer. Also half brother Archie Allen, Red Deer. Two sisters, Ann Ramage, Red Deer and Kay Douglas, Red Deer. Many nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law. Predeceased by his parents Andrew and Ann, brothers, Angus, David and Robert, many half brothers and sisters and his youngest son Donnie in 2004. Rest in peace dear brothers, Eric October 8, 2006, David, October 4, 2006. Both funerals were held in Calgary.

LITKE, Mavis

LITKE - Mavis "Ann" Ann Litke of Rocky Mountain House, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at the age of 66 years. Ann is survived by her 5 children, Pam Weise of Leslieville, Linda (Lorne) Oja of Leslieville, Bev Kowaluk of Red Deer, Ron (Cherie) Litke of Red Deer, Theresa (Clint) Jamieson of Rocky Mountain House and 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral Services for the Late Ann Litke will be held from the Leslieville Community Centre on Monday, May 8, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Dale Hansen officiating. Cremation entrusted to the Rocky Mountain Crematorium, Rocky Mountain House. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made in Ann's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society. LEE, Audrey

LEE - Audrey Mavis (Eichhorn) Lee of Red Deer passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre with her children, Mom, Dad, and many other very close family members and friends at her side on Wednesday, May 3, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 51 years. Audrey was born on July 30, 1954 in Stettler, Alberta to parents Henry and Violet Eichhorn of Donalda. It was in Donalda that she was raised and attended school to grade 9, then went to Stettler for high school. After graduating, Audrey worked for many years for A.G.T. in Stettler, Calgary and Red Deer. On May 18, 1974, she married James R. Lee of Donalda. After moving to Red Deer James and Audrey had two children, Derek and Kelly. Audrey resided in Red Deer until her passing. Audrey is survived by her children Derek and Kelly Lee of Red Deer, parents Hank (Henry) and Violet Eichhorn of Donalda, one brother Gary Eichhorn of Red Deer as well as niece's, nephews, cousins and many, many friends. She was predeceased by her grandparents, aunts, uncles and her special companion "Buddy". SPECIAL "THANKS" TO THE STAFF ON UNIT 32 OF THE PALLIATIVE CARE UNIT AT THE RED DEER REGIONAL HOSPITAL CENTRE. Memorial donations may be directed to David Thompson Health Region Foundation (Unit 32, Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre) P.O. Bag 5030, Red Deer, Alberta, T4N 6R2 or to the Donalda Cemetery Club, c/o Box 160, Donalda, Alberta, T0B 1H0. Funeral Services for the Late Audrey Mavis Lee will be held from the Chapel of Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287-67 A Street, Red Deer, Alberta at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2006. In living memory of Audrey Mavis Lee, a tree will be planted in the Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium Memorial Tree Park, Red Deer County.

WHETTER, Debra

WHETTER - Debra Ann Whetter passed away after a lengthy illness at the University of Alberta Hospital, Edmonton on May 2, 2006 at the age of 48 years. Debbie will be lovingly remembered by her mom and step-dad; Vi and Vern Glasere of Sunnybrook, 2 sisters; Bonnie (Jerry) Cornforth of Cremona and Bette Christensen of Blackfalds, her nieces and nephews: Michael (Nikki) Cornforth and their children Joey and Lily of Sundre, Jeri-Lynn (Brian) Bellamy of Cremona, Karma (Trevor) Friesen and their children Chase and Keesha of Airdrie, Stacy (Kirk Prince) Christensen of Blackfalds and Sara Christensen of Blackfalds, along with aunts, uncles and many long time friends. Debbie was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Samuel and Ella Ball, her father Roy, paternal grandparents, brother Gerry, aunt and uncle Lucielle and Art Skage and cousin Danny. Debbie was born in Lacombe, Alberta on February 5, 1958 and lived in Mirror & Alix area, graduating from Lindsay Thurber in Red Deer. She went on to pursue many different jobs from Michener Center to being the first home milk delivery lady for Alpha Milk in Red Deer to owning and managing a hair salon. One of her passions in life were her horses, the outdoors and enjoyed living on her farm outside Ponoka. We would like to express our sincere thanks to Dr. Jim and the medical staff at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Center and the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton. Funeral Services will be held from Wilson's Funeral Chapel, 6120 Highway 2A, Lacombe on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at 2:00 P.M.. Cremation. CRANE, Bea

CRANE - Bea Crane (nee Routledge) of Red Deer passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on April 12, 2006. Bea was a well known citizen of Red Deer and a member of her beloved Red Deer Golf and Country Club all her adult life. Her daughter Elizabeth Neu (nee Crane) lives in Red Deer with her husband Randall Neu. Bea's grandchildren are; Byron of Cochrane, Stephan of Vancouver and Andrea of Haleiua, Hawaii. She is also survived by her two brothers; Harold Routledge of Edmonton and Jack Routledge of Calgary. She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard "Smokey" Crane in August of 2000. Bea requested a small, private Memorial Service but will be missed by many friends and relatives. The family wishes to express their deep gratitude to Bea's doctors, the medical staff of the Red Deer Regional Hospital and to Colleen Scott of the Red Deer Funeral Home. MEYER, Claude

MEYER - Claude Meyer of Red Deer passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Saturday, May 6, 2006 at the age of 82 years.
Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.

ARBUCKLE, Devoted, generous, courageous, and caring - these qualities describe Tracy Ronald Arbuckle, who passed away Friday, April 28, 2006 at his home in Coleman, Alberta after a year long battle with lung cancer. A celebration of Tracy's life will be held in the Crowsnest Pass on Saturday, May 13, 2006 at 1:00 pm at the MDM Community Complex, 2802 222 Street, Bellevue, Alberta. (A Memorial Service in Ontario will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2006 at 1:00 pm at the Capreol Curling Club, 1 Stull Street, Capreol, Ontario). In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Tracy Arbuckle may be made to the Crowsnest Pass Quad Squad (Box 412, Bellevue, AB, T0K 0C0) or a charity of your choice. RUSSELL, Beatrice

RUSSELL - Beatrice Evelyn Russell of Lacombe passed away at the Lacombe Hospital and Care Centre on May 1, 2006 at the age of 94 years. Only child of Grant and Lizzie (Barnhill) Welton, pioneers of the Satinwood District. Beatrice was born December 11, 1911 and took her early schooling in the Satinwood District, High School in Red Deer, teacher training at Camrose Normal School. She taught at several rural schools until her marriage to Tom Russell in 1934. They farmed in the Joffre district for the next 59 years. In 1958 Bea returned to Satinwood School as a teacher and taught various combinations of grades 3, 4, & 5 there for the next 18 years. She's always enjoyed hearing of 'her' pupils and where there lives have taken them. After returning to teaching she attended summer school for many years and earned her B.Ed. in 1968. When she had time, Beatrice enjoyed playing the piano, gardening, knitting and some crafts, but mostly keeping in touch with family and friends. She was involved with UCW, church board, farm organizations and retired teachers. When Tom was admitted to Long Term Care in 1993, Bea moved into the Lodge and visited him faithfully for the next 5 years. While at the Lodge she played cards, took in most of the entertainments and especially enjoyed music and videos. She spent the last 2 years in the Lacombe Nursing Home. She is lovingly remembered by daughter, Esther Hutchison who now lives on the home farm and son Bill (Jewell) who live in Edmonton, also by 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, Shelly (Greg) Mahoney, Steven and Amanda; Colin (Christina) Russell, Harley and Maggie; and Diane Russell all of Edmonton, Judy Hutchison (Richard Brown), Andrew and Leah of Midland, Michigan, Ian Hutchison of Oakville Ontario and Brian Hutchison of Vancouver, BC. Funeral services will be held from St. Andrew's United Church Lacombe on Monday May 8, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation entrusted to Central Alberta Crematorium. If friends desire memorial contributions may be made to the Lacombe Hospital Extended Care 5430 - 47 Ave. Lacombe, AB T4L 1G8 or to the Canadian Red Cross 3030-55 St. Red Deer, AB T4P 3S6. HUTTON, Judith

HUTTON - Judith "Judy" Hutton of Mirror, Alberta passed away at Lacombe Hospital and Care Centre on Monday, April 24, 2006 at the age of 57. Judy is lovingly remembered by Nobert Caron her two sons; Christopher (Chris) Hutton of Innisfail, and Darrell Hutton of Edmonton her two daughters; Jeanette (Ronald) Huseby of Innisfail and Lorna Cornell (Ryan) of Edmonton. Her grandchildren Cody Hutton, Charolette Hutton, Justin Hutton, Natasha Hutton, Thomas Huseby, Julie Huseby, Jarod Cornell, and Owen Cornell. She will also be remembered by her parents; Albert (Jean) Bachor of Red Deer and her brother; Allen Bachor (Rosalie) of Penhold. Judy was predeceased by her husband, Charles (Chuck) Hutton and her son Michael Hutton. A Memorial Service will be held at Red Deer Funeral Home (6150 - 67th Street) on Saturday, May 6, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Fran Hare officiating. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Judy Hutton can do so directly to the Lacombe Palliative Care Unit (Box 5576, Lacombe, AB, TXL 1X2).
