LAPOINTE, FRED - On July 20, 2007 Fred Lapointe passed away suddenly at the age of 77 years. He is survived by his sister Alvina Holmes, four nephews and three nieces. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, July 29, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Evergreen Funeral Chapel, 16204 Fort Road, Edmonton.
Mr. William (Bill) Hogg
May 30, 1937 - July 23, 2007
On July 23, 2007, Bill Hogg of Sherwood Park passed away peacefully with family by his side at the age of 70.
William is lovingly remembered by his wife Betty, three children; Brian (Shelly), Cindy (Bonita) and Wesley, one granddaughter Allison (Mark) and great-grandson Austin. Bill is also survived by his four brothers and sisters; John, Freida, Ralph and Bernice as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of Bill's life will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home, south of Wye Road on Range Road 232, Sherwood Park. Inurnment and reception will follow at Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alberta Lung Association.
WILLIAMS, Michael John “Big Will”
November 25, 1974 – July 22, 2007
On July 22, 2007, Mr. Michael Williams “Big Will” passed away at the age of 32 years. He will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered by his mother, Heather, sister, Kelly, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Evergreen Funeral Chapel, 16204 Fort Road, Edmonton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to AAADAC.
Mr. Vernon Hillard Lamb
October 15, 1917 - July 26, 2007
LAMB, Vernon Hillard - On Thursday, July 26, 2007 Vernon Lamb of Edmonton passed away at the age of 89 years.
He is survived by his three children, Randall (Karlene), Shirley Wadsworth, David; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; his good friend Fred. He was predeceased by his wife Verna in 1997.
As a young man Vernon went overseas to fight in the Second World War. In keeping with his wishes a private interment was held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

Phillips, Phyllies Eveline (nee Diamond) - It is with sadness that the family of Phyllies Phillips announce her passing on July 30, 2007, at the age of 84.
Lovingly remembered by her children; Garth (Carol) Phillips of Ft. MacMurray, Sharon (Ray) Sorenson of Calmar, Beverly Giles of Devon, and Wendy Burns of Sherwood Park, her grandchildren; Chris (Erin), Jennifer (Brian), Sherene, Kim (Morley), Jerry, Nicole (Doug), Leslie, Heather (Mark), Kelly (Carey) and Kyla (Shawn), great grandchildren; Ben, Zoe, Niomi, Bridget, Hudson, Colten, Conor, Carson, Lacy, Alissa, Grant, Lincoln, Victoria, Patricia, Olyvia, Jayden, Bryce, Cassey, Jenelle, Jayme, and Jesse, her sister Mary Diamond, all her extended family, numerous friends, golfing and bingo buddies.
Phyllies was predeceased by her husband Jerry, her son-in-law Norm Giles, her mother, father and siblings.
A Celebration of Phyllies' life will be held on Friday, August 17, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Calmar Legion Hall, off Main Street, Calmar.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Alberta Lung Association.

Mr. John Joseph Leonard
July 20, 1933 - August 3, 2007
It is with great sadness that the family of John Joseph Leonard announces his sudden death on August 3rd, 2007.
Left to cherish John's memory is his beloved wife of 38 years, Doris; sons, Patrick (Melanie) and Brian; grandson, James; and his large family of dear friends. John was predeceased by his mother, Mary Dadd.
John was born in Delvin, County Westmeath, Ireland in 1933 and came to Canada in 1957. After a short period of time working in Great Bear Lake, NWT, John moved to Edmonton where he went on to build a happy, full life with Doris. After a successful 40 year career in the trucking and transport industry, John spent his retirement busy working in his garage and backyard, and having great times with his friends, neighbors and family. John was a loving father and grandfather, and was especially devoted to the love of his life, Doris.
John touched many lives with his endless kindness and generosity. John truly understood what love is, and that love is unconditional. Loving Husband to Doris, Father, Grandfather, Friend, and our Hero.
The family would like to thank the staff of the emergency and intensive care units of the Grey Nuns Hospital.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St Thomas More Catholic Church,210-Haddow Close on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at 11:00 am, Reverend Sylvain Casavant Celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Association of Alberta or The Alzheimer's Society of Alberta.
John will be dearly missed.
