Mrs. Madeline Mary Anderson
June 30, 1921 - October 9, 2007
Anderson, Madeline (nee Feddema) passed away on October 9th at the age of 86. Madeline was born on June 30, 1921 and was raised by a loving family from Strome, Alberta. She was the only daughter of Lorenz & Anna Feddema and little sister of Ed and Willie. Madeline loved dancing and music and this love was shared by her husband of 50 years, Arthur (1910-1995).
Madeline lived on Cook Street for 60 years and knew the Cook St. bus route so well the new bus drivers would sometimes ask her for assistance! So many years of bus trips led to numerous friendships with bus drivers and their families, including her ‘adoptive family’ the Nesbitts. Madeline enjoyed, for many years, her social outings to the Appletree Restaurant, where the lemon tarts, but more importantly the friendly staff were a highlight.
Madeline will be sadly missed by her three sons John, Ray, Ralph of Victoria, daughter Julie (Denis) of Calgary, daughters-in-law, 12 grandchildren, five great grandchildren, her relatives from Alberta and many wonderful friends.
Special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at the RJH, 2 West, for all their care and understanding.
Madeline’s cheerful disposition and unforgettable laugh will always be missed and fondly remembered.
