January 24, 1927 - October 13, 2007
Keith Clearwater passed away in the early hours of October 13, 2007 with his family by his side.
Keith will be deeply missed by his wife Irene; sons Brad (Lynda) and Grant; daughter Krista (Bob) Old; grandchildren Kim and Shannon Old.
He was a devoted family man and was actively involved in the education and activities of his children. Keith was a hockey coach, a baseball coach, an active volunteer in his son's Scouting activities, and his daughter's C.G.I.T.. Summer times, he loaded up the station wagon and guided his family on ambitious excursions throughout western Canada; camping, hiking, fishing, canoeing, and fostering an enduring love of the outdoors in each of his children.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17 in Trinity United Church, 8810 Meadowlark Road, Edmonton.
In lieu of floral tributes donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. The family also wishes to express their appreciation for the excellent care provided by the Nurses and Doctors of the Misericordia Hospital.
Mrs. Lily Heard
May 30, 1921 - October 12, 2007
On October 12, 2007 our sweet Lily passed away. Lily was born on May 30, 1921 in Piapot, Saskatchewan where she resided until 1945 when she, her husband and young family moved to Edmonton. She is fondly remembered and loved by her daughters, Roberta (Bert) Keer, Heather (Paul) Allison; her son John (Arlene) Heard. Lily will be dearly missed by her 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Lily is also survived by her brother Wendell (Irene) Mercer and sister Ivy (Bob) Fletcher. She was predeceased by her husband John F. Heard in 1986, her precious granddaughter Jodi Heard, sister Violet Buckle and brother Nelson Mercer.
A celebration of Lily's life will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Evergreen Funeral Chapel, 16204 Fort Road, Edmonton. Cremation has taken place. The family would like to thank the staff at Touchmark at Wedgewood for their loving support and kind care of Lily. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Bissell Centre, 10527 - 96 Street, Edmonton, AB, T5H 2H6 would be deeply appreciated.
Mr. Edward Gordon Lines
March 20, 1919 - October 14, 2007
On October 14, 2007, Gordon Lines of Edmonton, passed away at the University of Alberta Hospital, at the age of 88 years.
Gordon is survived by his loving wife, Pearl after 64 years of marriage; son, Gary (Carol) Lines; daughter,Carol Doyle; sister, Jennie Vickers of Neepawa, Manitoba; brother, Jack Lines of Calgary; granddaughter, Marla Lines of Edmonton; grandson, Morgan Lines of Chicago; grandson, Donald Doyle of Regina; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Gordon worked for the Department of Transport, Government of Canada, for 35 years, spending time at Penhold, Calgary, Edmonton, Whitehorse and then back to Edmonton in 1955. He spent his retirement years traveling and covered many places especially his favorite, 35 times in Hawaii.
A Memorial Service will be held at Kirk United Church, 13535-122 Avenue, Edmonton, on Friday, October 19, 2007 at 2:00 pm.

Dr. Brian E.J. Grant
January 27, 1940 - October 29, 2007
Dr. Brian Grant, beloved husband of Linda Grant, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 29, 2007 at the age of 67 years. Besides his loving wife, he will be dearly missed by his children Dewa (David Shawn) Grant of California, and Nye (Claudia) Grant of Florida as well as three granddaughters Ava and Sophia Shawn and Olivia Grant. He is also survived by his sisters Rita, Zena and Anita of London, England.
Dr. Grant was a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Calgary from 1968 until his passing. He will be greatly missed as a husband, father and grandfather. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday, November 5, 2007 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Escalus Room of the McEwan Student Centre at the University of Calgary (2500 University Drive NW). A private Graveside Service will be held on Monday morning.

HRITZUK, Laura May - On Wednesday, October 10, 2007 Mrs. Laura Hritzuk of Tofield passed away suddenly at the age of 80 years. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Bill; son, Don (Cherie) Sommers; daughter, Judy (Frank) Tigges; sisters, Dorothy, Kay, Eleanor (Fred), Margaret; brother, George (Kay); step-son, Peter (Marilyn); two grandchildren, Michael and Carrie; numerous nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren. Laura was predeceased by her first husband, Albert Summers.

May 22, 1951 - October 16, 2007
Howard lived, he loved, he laughed and left his fingerprint on many lives. He will be greatly missed by his wife Jean, son Branigan, mother Ruth, brother Robert (Kathy) and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. He was predeceased by his father Chris. Mrs. Olga Nakonechny
January 17, 1918 - October 15, 2007
On October 15, 2007 Olga Nakonechny passed away peacefully at the age of 89 years. Olga will be missed by six children: Leonard (Sheila), Michalewich, Sylvia Letwin, Wally (Florence), Michalewich, Helen (Ray) Wingerak, Johnny (Cecile) Michalewich and Mary Gavinchuk, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters and a brother. Olga was predeceased by her son Peter and husband Harry.
