Helen Caldwell passed away on October 29, 2007. She was predeceased by her mother Frieda Alexander Caldwell, her father Lewis W. Caldwell, and her brother Lewis W. Caldwell, Jr. Miss Caldwell was the granddaughter of Dr. Robert A. Alexander of Grimsby, Ontario and the great-granddaughter of the Rev. James Lynn Alexander, who settled in Grimsby from Ireland in 1800. She was the great-great-granddaughter of Col. Robert Nelles, a United Empire Loyalist, who was one of the earliest pioneers to settle in the Grimsby district. She was also a great-granddaughter of Col. Alfred Booker and Eliza Pettit of Huguenot ancestry. She will be lovingly remembered by Neil and Darcie Bentley, Darcie's daughter Alicia, and Helen's many friends and neighbours. Miss Caldwell worked for the Imperial Bank (later the CIBC) until her retirement in 1984. She was also a member of the Glencoe Club since its inception, and enjoyed competitive figure skating and swimming for most of her life. Helen devoted years of service to her Lord through teaching Sunday School and praying for innumerable people as leader of the Prayer Chain at Christ Church. Memorial donations may be made in Helen's name directly to Samaritan's Purse (20 Hopewell Way NE, Calgary, AB T3J 5H5). Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 2, 2007 at 12:00 Noon at Christ Church Elbow Park (3602 8 Street SW) with graveside committal to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery. Mrs. June Royal Shirley Scragg
May 13, 1934 - November 2, 2007
On Friday, November 2, 2007 June Scragg passed away at the age of 73 years. She was predeceased by her loving husband Ralph. She is survived by her son Dave (Susan) Scragg; daughters: Wanda (Duane) Sweatman, Brenda (Keith) Wolodko, Colleen (Ted) Bailey, Janice Scragg; and nine grandchildren: Danielle, Michael, Owen, Mark, Austin, Kimberly, Tasha, Matthew and Kaitlin.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Howard & McBride Westlawn (16310 Stony Plain Rd, Edmonton). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Youville Home, 9 St. Vital Ave., St. Albert, AB T8N 1K1.
Mr. John Ongurian
July 29, 1925 - October 31, 2007
On Wednesday, October 31, 2007, husband, father and gido, John Ongurian, passed away at the age of 82 years.
John will be lovingly remembered by his wife Jean; daughters Fran (Lawrence) Sorobey, Barb (Jim) Zukowsky and Janet (Gary) Caouette and grandchildren Robert (Lindsay), Ryan, Robyn, Nicole, Sean and Ashley. He also leaves his brother Nick, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Mrs. Marjorie Eileen Taylor

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Mrs. Marjorie Taylor at the age of 88 years in Calgary.
She will be sadly missed by her one daughter, Donna Cowie, two sons; Brian (Ria) and Neil (Michele), ten grandchildren; Heather, Cameron, Mark, Bryce, Deb, Lee, Denny, Nicole, Lindsey and Jessi, two great grandsons; Jarod and Oliver. Marjorie was predeceased by her husband Carmen and her daughter Linda. WIlliam Wood
December 6, 1943 - October 26, 2007
Bill Wood, of Calgary, died suddenly on Friday, October 26, 2007 alongside his beloved son, David. Bill was the devoted, loving, and loyal husband of Bryanne, the proud and supportive father of Elizabeth, David and his wife Cathy, and the adoring grandfather (Boppa) of Tauran, Jasper, Ambrose and Felix. He is also survived by his mother, Phyllis, and his brother, Graham (Marilyn) and an extended family.
Joint services will be held for Bill and David on Saturday, November 3, 2007 at 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 219 - 18 Avenue SW. A trust fund for David’s young family has been established at ATB Financial (‘Wood Family Trust’); in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made at any ATB Financial branch.
