Born on the 10th of July, 1935, in Biggar, Saskatchewan, she is survived by her loving husband Andre "Bud" Perret. She is pre-deceased by son Mark and survived by her sons and daughters: Wendy (Roger), Murray (Dory), Michael, Lloyd (Val), Colleen (Kim), and Cathy (Don). Much loved by her 11 grandchildren: Krystal, Kailee, Steven, Andre, Daniel, Adam, Jaycee, Taya, Nick, Ty, and Mark.
She grew up on a farm near Biggar, Saskatchewan, until the time her family moved to New Westminster in 1940. She started school at Herbert Spencer and later attended elementary and high schools in North Vancouver where her family had moved a year later. Joyce's life changed the day she met Bud and they were married not too long after in North Bay Ontario where Bud was then stationed as a member of the RCAF. They lived in Ontario, PEI, and a few other spots across the country, all a part of being in the military. Once out of the military their ever growing family returned to North Vancouver, and eventually settled with all seven kids, to the "Funny Farm" in Richmond.
Joyce loved gardening, golf, bowling and traveling with Bud throughout their 54 year journey together. Her family was her life and her many friends were an extension of that family. Everyone who was lucky enough to be a part of her amazing life felt her love and will continue to do so.
Please join us for an "Open House" celebration of Joyce's life to be held on Sunday February 3, 12pm to 4pm at her daughter Wendy's house. 3858 205B St., Langley, BC V3A 2A9.
