Mel was born in Saskatchewan and moved with his family to farm in the Haynes area near Joffre, Alberta.
Mel married Lois Anne Ferguson on November 23, 1947 in Tees, AB. Mel enjoyed a successful career in insurance and built and owned Jingle Pot Campsites in Nanaimo. In 1989, Mel and Lois moved to Abbotsford where they enjoyed many years in retirement. In 2005, Lois passed away and Mel moved to Parksville, B.C. to enjoy his remaining years.
Mel is lovingly survived by his children, Wendy Rogers (Glenn), BarbeeLee Moraes (Clyde) and Gordon Boe, grandchildren Chris Rogers, Corey Rogers, Lucretia Delmos, Don Moraes (Cora-Lee) and Mandy Moraes, brothers Don Boe (Ethel), Larry Boe (Lynn), sister Erlene Oslund (Elmer), aunt Ruth Anderson and many nieces, nephews and cousins in Alberta and B.C.
Mel will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.
A public funeral service of Mel’s life will be held at Parkland Funeral Chapel – 6287 -67A Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, January 18th at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Alto-Reste Cemetery, Red Deer, Alberta.

Randy was born in Port Alberni and resided in the Coombs area most of his life.
Pre-deceased by his mother Dalhia in 2005, he is survived by his father Andy, his sister Cheryl (Pat) and family; his children Kelly (Cherise) Kevin, Kimberly (Jerrod) Tyler and Santana (James); grandchildren Brad, CJ, Braeden, Koen, Brittany, Kody and many relatives and friends.
He will be greatly missed for his love of life, his smile, and generous spirit. Randy loved the outdoors especially spending time there with his family and friends. We will miss Randy playing the guitar and singing to all of us he loved.
There will be a celebration of Randy’s life at the Bradley
Centre on Saturday, January 19, 2008 from 1-4 pm.
BERNARD, Traford "Traf" Tuesday, 23 Oct 2007

Born on October 3, 1946 in Vancouver, B.C. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Traford Bernard at the age of 61 of Chilliwack, B.C. on October 23, 2007.
Traf is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Yvonne; daughters Michelle (Arnie), Lorri (Duane); grandchildren Alicia, John, and Cole; one brother Bob and family as well as numerous extended family members and wonderful friends.
Traford was a dedicated and hardworking employee who just celebrated his 40th anniversary with Rivtow Straits. Some of his most endearing moments were cruising with his wife, being out on the water and collecting Wade ceramics. He enjoyed playing Bingo and will be missed by all his Bingo buddies.
Traf, a committed husband, father and grandfather will be forever cherished and will forever remain in our hearts as the rock of our family.
All are invited to attend a time of sharing and refreshments from 1-5 pm on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at the Clubhouse at WellsBrooke, 45175 Wells Road in Sardis, B.C.

Pamela Rene Hannaford passed away in the West Coast General Hospital, Port Alberni, B.C. on March 8th, 2008. Born in Langley City, B.C. on March 22nd, 1950
Survived by her loving husband Cameron McIntosh; sisters, Pat Armstrong, Marilyn Nachtegaele; brother, Ted Weins.

Fred passed away peacefully March 7, 2008 Ĺ6¶5at Nanaimo General Hospital.
Survived by his loving wife Maureen and her family: Garth (Kathy) Jickling; Graham Jickling; Kelly (Stu) Hilder and grandchildren.
Fred was born October 23, 1920 in Cadomin, Alta., and grew up in Wetaskiwin, Alberta.
He enlisted in The Canadian Scottish Regiment in Victoria, July 2, 1940 and served in action in the Mediterranean Theatre of Operations, Northwest Europe and United Kingdom as a Cryptographer, honourably discharged March 15, 1946.
In Vancouver he was a co-partner, merchandising in the Fred Asher store for several years then joined Hudson's Bay Co. and worked there for 32 years. Taking early retirement he moved to Vancouver Island, building his home in Schooner Cove and later moved to Craig Bay, Parksville.
His loving family and many friends will miss his gentle presence in their lives. His great sense of humour, wonderful smile and positive attitude is a legacy we'll never forget.
No service at his request. Fred will be remembered with much love at a private family gathering.

Born in Mildred, Saskatchewan, Gus lived most of his life at Deep Bay, B.C. He was a devoted and loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.
Predeceased by his parents Adam and Rose Pardiac, brother Bert, sister Irene, nephew Ron and brother-in-law Walter.
Gus is survived by his loving wife Patricia (married June 14, 1949), his sons Cliff (Val), Rick (Ruby) and daughter Debbie (Don) MacLean, grandsons Don, Gary, Mike, Jason, and Jeff, great-grandchildren Jake, Sara, Adam, and Jonathon, sister Leona, twin brothers Roy (Janet), Don (Bonnie) sister in law Christine, Auntie Mary and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Gus happily graduated grade 5 from Deep Bay School. He began his long career at an early age as a fisherman, logger and boat builder. Gus always had a mega project on the go and work was always his hobby.
Gus and Pat enjoyed many years together with family and friends. They travelled in Canada and abroad and spent 16 years as snowbirds wintering in Yuma, Arizona.
No service by request. Gus will be laid to rest at a private family ceremony in Cumberland, B.C., on April 30, 2008.

Our dear father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord on October 24, 2007. Tim is survived by his son John (Judy); grandchildren Kevin and Laura; and great-granddaughter Anna; his daughter Deborah (Charlie Wells); sisters and brothers in Canada and The Netherlands. Tim is pre-deceased by his wife, parents and four sisters.
Tim was born in Koekange, Drenthe, The Netherlands and immigrated to Canada in 1948.
A memorial service will be held at the Emmanuel Free Reformed Church, 3366 Mt. Lehman Rd., Abbotsford, B.C. on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at 1:00 pm with refreshments to follow.
