MCNABB, Larry Orville passed away at home with his family at his side on June 22, 2007. Larry was born November 6, 1947 in Imperial, Saskatchewan. He was raised on the family farm at Stalwart and attended school at Imperial. Following secondary education in Saskatoon he was employed with Cimco Refrigeration in Winnipeg and Calgary. While in Calgary he was part of the construction of the Olympic Speed Oval. He married Holly Barnec in August 1988 and they made their home in Fort Langley, British Columbia. Their daughter Jolene was born in January 1993. In July 2000 the family moved to Ardrossan, Alberta and Larry worked for the City of Edmonton. Sheldon was born in July 2002. Larry loved sports of all kinds and played short stop for the Imperial Baseball Team. Larry was pre-deceased by his father Roland in 1997. He will be sadly missed by his wife Holly and their children Jolene and Sheldon. Larry is also survived by three daughters – Lorri and her sons Reilly and Braden of Calgary, AB, Tricia of Surrey B.C., and Lesli and her son Kaden of Abbotsford, B.C.; mother - Jerrene of Medicine Hat, AB; sister - Linda (Dennis) of Medicine Hat, AB; brothers - Gordon (Coletta) of Regina, SK and Darcy of Medicine Hat, AB; father and mother – in- law - Dan and Marie Barnec of Botha, AB; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A trust fund has been established in Jolene and Sheldon’s name, scholarships will be managed from this account to honor their Dad’s love and encouragement of youth and sports. MCGINN, Janis aged 52 years.
After a long battle with cancer, she went home to Jesus from Langley Memorial Hospital on Wednesday June 20, 2007. Janis is survived by her husband, Tim Roxburgh; daughters Alana and Natalie; her mother and father, Beulah(Sharen) and Alex McGinn; her brother John of Salem, Oregon, his wife Laurel and their children Kaylie and Aaron; her sister Judy of Spokane,
Washington, her husband Rodney and their children Shawna, Stacy, Amanda, and Valarie. There are also many other relatives in Canada and the United States. Janis was born in Goshen, Indiana and spent most of her early years in Spokane, Washington. At a very young age she developed an intense love of horses and horsemanship, a love she kept with her until the last and which was only moderated by the birth of her children and her love of them. For the last 28 years Janis lived in the Township of Langley. She was employed as a bus driver for Coast Mountain Bus Company and its predecessor companies back to B.C. Hydro for 32 years. Janis will be sadly missed by all her family and her many friends. A very shy and private person, Janis touched the hearts of everyone she knew and loved. She was a person of immense love who shared her love selflessly. Janis, we love you and miss you. NEWTON, Lorne M. 1927 - 2007 passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side. Lorne was honored as Senior of the Year 2005 and was a member of Langley Chamber of Commerce. Survived by his loving wife Ethel, son Michael (Madlen), daughters Linda (Barrie), Karen (Steve), Kathryn (Brian) and six grandchildren. FULTON, Justin Bradley of Surrey, passed away tragically May 27, 2007 at the age of 24 years. Justin was pre-deceased by his Grandma Reed, Grandpa Fulton and Great Grandma Wilson. HANN, Barbara Theresa (nee Strauss), it is with great sadness that we announce her passing on Saturday, May 26, 2007 in Langley, BC. Lovingly remembered by her husband Leslie Roy Hann; children, Tom (Hardis), Ronn (Karen Streich), Terri (Dan Green) and Peggy (Russell Derkson); grandchildren, Andrea Green (Jeremy Guillou), Julie Paine (Ian), Steve Derkson and Eric Derkson; and great-grandchildren, Rebecca and Seth Paine. Survived by brother Leo Strauss (Hazel) and sisters Velna Lorenz (Norbert) and Josephine Siebert. Pre-deceased by brother Ted, Raymond and Ed and sisters Marion, Marcella, Caroline and Julie. Barbara was born in Forestburg, Alberta on May 22, 1920. She was a proud RCAF veteran and a long time member of both the Royal Canadian Legion and the Catholic Women's League. Visitation and prayers to be held on Wednesday, may 30, 2007 at 7:30 pm at St. Joseph's Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Fraser Highway, Langley, BC on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at 10:30 am. Jorunn was born in Foam Lake Saskatchewan and passed away in Surrey Memorial hospital. Predeceased by her sister Rose Henderson, her son Alan Paulson and daughter Judy Barnes.
Jorunn will be lovingly remembered by her sister Irene Kerr of Saltcoats, Saskatchewan, her daughter Carole Ostergarde of Squamish, son Dennis Paulson and wife, Lorraine, of Surrey, eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Forever a loving and caring woman who lived her life for her children. Mom, sleep well for you have earned your rest.
A memorial tea will be held at 2:00 PM January 12, 2008 at 20239 Michaud Crescent, Langley.

She is pre-deceased by her husband Patrick Edgar and will be sadly missed by her loving children; Patricia (Steve), Ron (Laura), Roger (Lori-Ann). Gordon Derek Hank Korthuis passed away suddenly on January 2nd, 2008. He was born on December 1st, 1967 and grew up as part of loving family in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Okotoks, Alberta. Through his adult life his ongoing personal and physical struggles were supported by his faith in God and the support of family. The last number of years saw Gord's life enhanced and supported by his church family and his close friends that he made wherever he went.
Gordon is survived by his mother and father, Betty and Henry Korthuis, brothers, Trevor (Tammy), Aaron (Lindsay), Tim (Tanya), Skyler, his sister Genni, one nephew, seven nieces and grandparents, John and Fenny Korthuis as well as numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. Gordon was also survived by the Mulder family of Saskatoon, Janie Hettinga (Fred), Jerry Mulder (Yvonne), John Mulder Jr., Cornell Mulder (Brenda) of Vernon, B.C. and particularly John Mulder Sr and his late wife Miep Mulder who were a big part of Gordon's early years in Saskatoon.
