It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Wendy Marie Sagmoen. Born to Mary and William Lesniak January 1954 and entering into rest February 2008.
Joining daughter Anastasia and survived by her husband Scott, sons Martin (Laraine), Thomas (Joanne), daughter Sabrina, and 4 grandchildren, Kodie, Zoe, Alexis, and Ethan. She will be deeply missed by her sister Jodie (Ron), brother William (deceased) and the extended family and friends.
Memorial Service will be held Monday March 3, 2008 at the Valley View Funeral Home in the Arbor Chapel, 14660-72nd Ave, Surrey at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Christine Morrison Hospice.

Utti passed away at Grand Street Lodge surrounded by her family. She will be lovingly remembered as a quiet, private person, protective of her family, loyal to her friends, and deeply fond of her garden and nature.
She is survived by her four children; Wulf (Yvonne) Pirang, Werner (Julie) Pirang and family; Helga Pirang, and Peter Neuner and family.
Our mother’s passing was greatly eased by the compassionate and loving care of the dedicated staff at Grand Street Lodge. A private family memorial will be held. No flowers by request.

passed away at the age of 94 peacefully in her sleep on Feb 28th at her son's home in North Vancouver. Predeceased by her beloved husband Gerald in 2000.
Grace is survived by her children Wendy & Rocky, son-in law Greg, daughter-in-law Heather, grandchildren Liam and Rowen, and her faithful little dog Duffy. Grace was always young of mind and heart, no one would believe she was 94, she loved her independence right to the end. She will be dearly missed by all.
As per Grace's request there will be no service. She will be cremated and laid to rest with Gerald. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you donate to your favorite charity in Grace's memory.

Susanna passed away quietly on Wednesday morning at her home. She will be sadly missed by fiancé James Bunney, her children Melissa Sankar (14), Brandon Sankar (12) and Joshua Sankar (8), parents - Jack and Edie deKroon; brother Tony (Jacquie) deKroon; sister Rachel (Mark) Friesen, nieces and nephews, Auntie Tilly & Uncle Ralph Nywening, grandparents Spike & Anje Schraa, Alec & Jenny Popma as well as many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She endured Juvenile Diabetes since age 15. It has been a challenging journey with many health and wellness issues. She was a fighter and overcame many obstacles with the help of her strong Christian faith.
A celebration of her life will be held at The Loft Ministries - 2640 248th St. Langley, B.C. on March 5th at 11:30 am. Donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association or to a trust fund established for Susanna's children. Contact Henderson's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mildred Kristina Lindstrom, late of Abbotsford, B.C., passed away on February 27, 2008 with her family by her side, at the age of 89.
She is survived by her loving family: Ron (Kathie), Bob (Barb), Linda (Peter); 11 grandchildren: Marcus (Tanya), Jared (Natasha), Joshua, Michael, Breanne, Monica (Jason), Duane (Mona), Liane (Ivan), Colin, Nicole, Gregory, 4 great-grandchildren: Kodi, Trei, Niya, Sehla; twin sister Linnea; numerous nieces and nephews; and, many relatives in Sweden.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Holden, December 1994, and brothers John and Ray.
Millie will be fondly remembered, especially for her loving, kind and gentle spirit, and her ready smile. She loved and valued her faith and fellowship with God’s servants and people. Her family will never forget her unconditional love, support and generosity. She will be greatly missed.
A funeral service was held on Monday, March 3, 2008 at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford with Mr. Walter Burkinshaw officiating. Burial followed at Hazelwood Cemetery.

Violet Alexander passed away peacefully at the age of 98 on February 27, 2008 at Mission Memorial Hospital. She was born Violet Spracklin in Charlottetown, Newfoundland and moved to Boston and then Edmonton, Alberta, where she met the love of her life, George Alexander, and they were married for 75 years until his passing in 2003. Violet was pre-deceased by her parents, Annie and Simon Spracklin, her 13 brothers and sisters and grandson Rick. In 1947 the family moved to Mission and Violet worked in several places on main street in the 1950's and 1960's such as Hillside Bakery, Blue Ribbon Dairy and the Bus Depot cafe. She worked at Mission Hospital from the late 1960's to her retirement in 1974. She was involved in the Orange Lodge and was leader of the Junior Orange Lodge. She will be sadly missed by her 5 sons-Robert (Marylou) of Kingston, Ontario, Hamilton (Doreen) of Mission, George (Wilma) of Richmond, B.C., James of Victoria and Bruce of Calgary, 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Johnson and the staff at Mission Memorial Hospital for their care and compassion; Rev. Robin Ross and Evelyn Ross for their friendship and caregiving; and the excellent staff at The Cedars Assisted Living Residence for their care and commitment to Violet in the final 1 1/2 years of her full life.

William Frank Evans passed away peacefully Thursday November 29, 2007 after a long struggle and illness. He will be greatly missed by Alice May, his loving wife to whom he was married 41 years, his son Lyndon; 2 grandchildren, Micaela and Josiah. Bill was the second oldest of 13 children and was Active in outdoor activities, including gardening, and fishing. He was passionate about flowers and spent many hours in his garden, he enjoyed cooking and baking as well. Born November 16, 1913 in Trochu Alberta, Bill spent many years farming in the Peace River area. Much time was spent in B.C. logging camps and cooking on the Alaska Highway as well. Bill was a loving and devoted husband and even in ill health continued to care for his wife.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 7, 2007 at 11:00 am. At St. Andrews United Church, Enderby, B.C.
Interment in Enderby Cemetery.

We regret to announce the passing of John Alvin Green at Vernon Jubilee Hospital on November 28th, 2007 at the age of 85 years. Al was born in Brampton, Ontario and grew up on the family farm nearby. During his service in the RCAF he met and married Iris Hill of Toronto in 1943. Together they raised four children while he pursued his chosen career as a Professional Engineer which took him many places in North America and around the world. Al was pre-deceased by his loving wife, Iris, in 2005 and leaves to mourn his passing their children, John Roger, Evelyn Mary, Michael Arthur and Daphne Ann. He is further survived by ten grandchildren, all of whom are now grown and leading successful lives in various locations around the continent. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 9th, 2007 at the Christadelphian Hall, #19 - 2200-40th Street, Vernon, B.C. with Brother Bill Hlina officiating. Eleanor Nudd passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, November 27th, 2007, after a long battle with cancer. She will be greatly missed by David, her loving husband, to whom she was married for 59 years; her only child, David Jr. (Barbara); four grandchildren, Cynthia (Forrest), Patricia, Christopher (Kelsey) and Stephanie; two sisters, Martha (Ken) and Katherine (Jim). She was preceded in death by her brothers, Adam, Ernie and Walter Reinheimer and her sister, Edith Lowenberg. Eleanor was born on May 13th, 1926 near Melville, Saskatchewan. She moved to Nelson, B.C. where she met Dave and then moved to Banff, Alberta where they were married on October 7th, 1948.
Cremation preceded the Memorial Service which will be held at Faith Baptist Church on Monday, December 3rd, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Eleanor to Samaritan’s Purse, Box 20100, Calgary Place, Calgary, Alberta T2P 4J2.

Dan has passed away into the loving arms of Jesus on November 27, 2007 in Vernon after a 3 1 2 year battle with cancer.
Dan came to Canada in 1965 at a tender age of 17 and worked in the mining and logging industry in his early years but metal was his passion even as a little boy in Slovenia. In later years his life’s work was occupied in precious metal refining of scrap electronics. Dan took great pride in his work but the most pleasure in raising his two children and imparted his love for Our Saviour Lord Jesus Christ to every one who knew him. We had very many cherished years. He is survived by his wife Marcie, daughter Diana of Ft. McMurray and son Jake of Calgary. Also his brother, sisters and many nieces and nephews in Slovenia. Dan will be sadly missed by family and friends. The family wishes to thank the staff at Vernon and District Hospice House and his doctor for their compassionate care. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 2nd at 2:30pm at New Beginning Community Church, 3204 Alexis Park Dr. in Vernon.
