Paul Corcoran, of Chilliwack, died Nov. 6, 2007. He was born in Valleyfield, Quebec on July 19, 1928.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Bonnie-Lou; sons Gordon (Clarice), Greg (Cara); grandchildren Daniel, Bonnie (Shane) Onufruw, Bradley, Adam, Josh, Cadence and great-grandson Evan; a brother John (Janet) of Ontario, brother-in-law Bernie Allison of Mission, B.C, and sister-in-law Rachel Corcoran in Quebec, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Paul served in the Canadian Forces RCE for 37 years. He was pre-deceased by siblings Eileen, Robert, Ruth, and Teresa.
A memorial service to be held Saturday, Nov. 17 at 1:00 pm, Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home on Hocking Avenue, Chilliwack.
Should family and friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of choice.

Mrs. Eva Camire, late of Abbotsford, B.C., passed away on November 4, 2007 at the age of 87at MSA Hospital.
Eva is survived by her daughter Linda (Barry) Krivoshein, grandsons Brent (Donna) and Tyler, and great-grandchildren Calvin and Keeya Krivoshein. She was pre-deceased by her husband Fil (Joe) March 16, 1978.
A special thank you to the nurses of 3 West at MSA Hospital for making Eva’s final hours more comfortable.
A visitation will take place on Friday, November 9, 2007 at 11:00 am at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 33333 Mayfair Avenue Abbotsford, B.C. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon with Father Henry Yeung officiating. Interment will be at Hazelwood Cemetery Henderson’s Funeral Home

After a long illness, Antonietta passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2007. She was born in Castiglione A'Casauria, Pescara, Italy on August 21, 1918. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Giustino in 1991 and all her siblings (4 brothers and 2 sisters). She is survived by her son Tom (Wendy); 3 grandsons, Justin, Steven (Jennifer Ashley) and Neal (Jennifer Eileen); 2 great-grandchildren, Sophia and Benjamin, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Antonietta spent her youth in Italy and was trained to be a seamstress. After receiving her teaching certificate she travelled all over Italy and taught young women the art of dressmaking. While visiting the villages in the Abruzzi Region in 1951, she met and married Giustino. That same year Giustino immigrated to Vancouver and the following year was joined by Antonietta and Tom. Her passion was her home and garden as well as the Italian Women's Club. She was the founding president of the Italian Women's Club, "Lega Femminile Circolo Abruzzese", which promoted and fostered Italian culture and traditions.
We would like to thank all the staff at "The Cottage", in particular Erica, Peggy, Cindy, Hernan, Nora and Kate, where Antonietta was in their care this past 4-1/2 years. Also a special thanks to Elsie, who became a dear friend to her.
Prayers will be offered at 7:00 pm on Thursday, November 8 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 6350 Nanaimo St., Vancouver, B.C. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 am on Friday, November 9. Private family entombment to follow at Ocean View Abbey where she will be laid to rest next to her husband. If you wish to honour her memory, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Shelley Ann (Bertrand) Hawn passed away on November 2, 2007 at age 52. Lovingly remembered by her husband Paul Hawn and her son Nathaniel Bertrand, her mom and dad Adrian and Elva Bertrand, sister Judi (Ted) Cork, nephew Johnny (Jenny) Cork and their daughter Jilly Paul, son David (Shelayne) Hawn, and two grandchildren Laura and Gavan.
Shelley Ann was a loving wife and mother and was very close to her Mom and Dad Adrian and Elva, and loved her sister Judi dearly.
Shelley resided in Mission, B.C. for 13 years. She was a diabetic for 46 years. Shelley will be missed dearly. She will be in our hearts forever. Shelley loved animals and she enjoyed making fancy cakes. She also loved fishing and hunting with her husband Paul.
In lieu of flowers, donations greatly accepted to The Kidney Foundation of Canada B.C. Branch or the Canadian Diabetes Association. Shirley Anne, late of Abbotsford, B.C., passed away into the presence of her Lord on November 1, 2007 at the age of 64 years. She was pre-deceased by her parents, numerous siblings and son, Rick. She is survived by her 2 sons James and Robert, and her daughter Lisa (Reg); 5 grandchildren; 3 brothers; 1 sister; many nieces and nephews, as well as other family members. Shirley was retired and lived at Lynn Haven.
A Funeral Service will be held on November 6, 2007 at 1:00 pm from Woodlawn Funeral Home followed by burial at Hazelwood Cemetery.
Special thanks to all her family, friends, Christine Morrison Hospice, and Abbotsford Hospice Society who supported her throughout her life but especially during her battle with cancer.

Vicki passed away on Nov. 1, 2007 in Barrie, Ontario. She was born in Abbotsford on March 22, 1956 and worked as a nurse, college teacher and as an administrator. She enjoyed crafts, music and flowers. She involved herself in volunteer and church work, especially in choir and music. Vicki was a wonderful wife to Mark and mother to Joel and Daniel. She was, above all, a good friend, joyful, caring and generous. She was raised in a devout Christian home and was baptized in her youth. Vicki's spiritual journey was uncomplicated, sincere and personal. She placed her hope in the One who, by His death and resurrection, sets us free and He will welcome her into His peace.
Vicki succumbed to pancreatic cancer, a disease which had already claimed her mother and a sister. She is survived by her husband Mark and her two sons, Joel and Daniel, as well as by her father, Abe Froese and his wife Dodie, two sisters and a brother.
A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at St. John Vianney in Barrie, Ontario. It was Vicki's wish that her ashes be placed in the cemetery in Abbotsford where her mother lies.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Society or charity of your choice.

Victor John McBeth, fondly known as “Joe”, passed away on Jan 8, after a brief illness at MSA hospital. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Irene, and his daughter Coral McBeth-Kearns. He is pre-deceased by his 11 brothers and sisters.
Joe was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan November 4, 1920 and was related to the founder of Prince Albert, Reverend James Nisbet. He worked with the Canadian National Railway and then CIBC before retiring to Abbotsford in 1986. He served with the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders during World War II and was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #15. He loved the outdoors and was an avid sportman, president of the P.A. Wildlife Federation, and P.A. Winter Festival Dog Sled Championships. He loved the arts especially music, violin, guitar and singing. He joined the Happy Gang Choir in Abbotsford in 1990 and sang with them until June 2007.
Joe was a devoted and loyal husband, a wise and patient father, a gentle patient man, an eager helpful friend. He was liked by all who met him. He bore his burdens with strength and dignity, never complaining. He will be sadly missed by all. Special thanks to Dr. De Leeuw for his committed care and the nurses at MSA Hospital, 3rd Floor West.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday, January 19th at 2 pm. at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 2597 Bourquin Crescent E, Abbotsford.

Mel was born in Saskatchewan and moved with his family to farm in the Haynes area near Joffre, Alberta.
Mel married Lois Anne Ferguson on November 23, 1947 in Tees, AB. Mel enjoyed a successful career in insurance and built and owned Jingle Pot Campsites in Nanaimo. In 1989, Mel and Lois moved to Abbotsford where they enjoyed many years in retirement. In 2005, Lois passed away and Mel moved to Parksville, B.C. to enjoy his remaining years.
Mel is lovingly survived by his children, Wendy Rogers (Glenn), BarbeeLee Moraes (Clyde) and Gordon Boe, grandchildren Chris Rogers, Corey Rogers, Lucretia Delmos, Don Moraes (Cora-Lee) and Mandy Moraes, brothers Don Boe (Ethel), Larry Boe (Lynn), sister Erlene Oslund (Elmer), aunt Ruth Anderson and many nieces, nephews and cousins in Alberta and B.C.
Mel will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.
A public funeral service of Mel’s life will be held at Parkland Funeral Chapel – 6287 -67A Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, January 18 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Alto-Reste Cemetery, Red Deer, Alberta.
