John, born May 10, 1924, went to be with the Lord January 16, 2008. He will be lovingly remembered by Mary, his wife of 38 years; son John (Lori); daughters Anne-Marie (Norbert) Penner and Elizabeth (Paul Edward) Tschetter; 5 grandchildren: Caitlynd, Emilia, Austin, Julianna and Aiden; sister Erna (Hans) Dyck and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 22 at 11:00 am at King Road, MB Church, 32068 King Road, Abbotsford.

Dorothy A., born in Herbert, Saskatchewan, passed away at 9:00 pm on January 16, 2008 in Abbotsford. She is survived by her loving husband Otto; son Kevin and daughter-in-law Debbie; sisters Joan Jansen and Lil Koch; and other relatives and friends. Dorothy was pre-deceased by two brothers and two sisters.
The family would like to thank the staff at MSA Hospital for their kindness. There will be no service as per Dorothy's request.

Elsie passed away peacefully at the Valley Park Manor in Red Deer, Alberta at the age of 93. Elsie is pre-deceased by her husband Frank and brothers Harold, Raymond and Leslie. She is survived by her sisters-in-law Edith and Barbara and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews as well as many close friends. Born in St. Louis, Saskatchewan, Elsie went on to study nursing in Prince Albert and was a caring and compassionate nurse for 44 years. Most of Elsie’s nursing life was centered in the Red Deer area, her caring touch was felt by many of the residents and her loving heart will always be remembered.
A special thank you to Elsie’s many friends who took the time to visit, phone and help in numerous ways to make her final years enjoyable. To the staff at Valley Park Manor for their compassionate care, thank you.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5508 48A Ave, Red Deer, AB at 2:00 pm.

Wilfred passed away peacefully in Abbotsford on January 15, 2008 at the age of 95 years. He is pre-deceased by his wife Marie and is survived by his son Romaine (Trudy), grandchildren Marina and Brad; great grandchildren Jocelyn, Brendon, Rebecca and Taleah. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Erlene Avelda Howard passed away peacefully to her eternal home on Monday, January 14, 2008 at the Menno Hospital at the age of 101-1/2 years.
One sister, Faye Meikle, who is 103 years and lives in Alberta, survives Erlene.
Thanks to the nurses and staff of West 2 for the care given Erlene over the past years. "God bless the workers" was always Erlene's prayer for the staff. Erlene will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.

Mr. Lorne Lyle LeGear, late of Abbotsford, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2008 at the age of 75 years at Christine Morrison Hospice, Mission.
He was survived by his loving wife of 54 years Margaret, 2 sons Wayne (Lisa), and Scott, 7 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Tyler, Loryn, Sean, Jessica, Rachel and Sarah, his brother Fred, sister Darlene and other relatives.
A celebration of Lorne’s life will be held on Monday, January 21, 2008 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home at 34537 Marshall Rd., Abbotsford, B.C.

Jacob passed into the presence of his Lord on January 14, 2008 at the age of 93 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Louise, by two brothers Henry and John, and four sisters Agnes, Sally Staples, Mary Thiessen, Martha Anderson and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Gwendolyn Violet Scribner passed away on January 14, 2008 at the age of 62 years. Born September 23, 1945 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Lovingly remembered by two brothers Jack (Ruth), and Stan (Heather); two sons and one daughter, Rocky (Terri) Forden, Velvet (Rick) Speiss, and Todd (Petra) Rowan. Grandmother to Josh, Daniel, Christine, Ashley, Jacob and Kelsey.
Thank you to the staff of the Stuart Pavilion for the care you provided. Great friends were made with both residents and staff. Thank you to Dr. A. Marazzi for the care and support to the family in such a difficult time.

John Sprangers of Abbotsford, passed away on Good Friday, March 21, 2008 at the age of 71 at MSA Hospital.
John was born in Lage Zwaluwe, Holland and immigrated to Canada in 1956. After returning to Holland for a number of years, he settled in Canada with his wife Corry in 1969. He was a dairy farmer for 28 years until retiring in 1998.
He is survived by his loving wife Corry, his two sons Terry and Ray, and his daughter Wendy (Andrew). Opa will be greatly missed by his two grandchildren, Kylah and Ethan. John is also survived by four brothers and three sisters living in Canada, Holland, and Luxembourg.
Prayers will be offered at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, March 26th at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 33333 Mayfair Ave, Abbotsford, BC where Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 27th.
