Thelma (nee Parlane) was promoted to Glory on November 19, 2007, followed by her husband David Douglas on November 24, 2007.
Thelma was born in Toronto on March 17, 1934 and Doug in Burnaby on August 30, 1933. Thelma and Doug were married for over 50 years. They are survived by son Douglas (Teresa) Wagner, daughter Linda (John) Hockersmith, Thelma’s brother Austin and sisters Margaret and Agnes, Doug’s sister Sharon, 13 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 30, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Salvation Army Cariboo Hill Temple, 7195 Cariboo Road, Burnaby, BC.

July 8, 1914 - June 13, 2008
Victor Tessaro passed away June 13, 2008 at the age of 93 in Abbotsford, B.C.
He is survived by his Wife Jane, son Stacy, grandsons Mark & Chad (Mary) Deering, his sister Nora Baldwin. He was pre-deceased by his daughter Vicki Deering, brothers Joe & Eugene Tessaro, sister Marie Woods, parents Quinto & Angela Tessaro. Vic was an Alderman in Abbotsford from 1954-1985, on the Hospital Board, had memberships in the Lions, Masonic Lodge, HoleintheWall, and was extremely proud of the fact that he was one of the three men who planted the Christmas Tree in downtown Abbotsford.
The family thanks the staff of the Menno Home for taking such good care of dad.
There will be no service by request.

Martin went to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, Nov 18, 2007 after a blessed life.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 54 years, Freda; six children: Martin and Karen Brink, Rita and John Brower, Gary and Jeannette Brink, Wilma and Gerald VanWoudenberg, Gerda and Clarence VanderLinde, Erica and Dave VanDorp; 17 grand­children and great-children, 2 sisters and 1 brother in the Netherlands, 1 sister in Langley and extended family.
A viewing will be held at Trinity Christian Reformed Church on Nov. 22, 2007 from 2-4 pm. A memorial service is planned for Nov. 23, 2007 at 1:30 pm at 1st Chilliwack Christian Reformed Church, 9800 McNaught Rd.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Menno Hospital for their loving care and support during Martin's stay; especially the last weeks of his life.
Memorial donations would be gratefully accepted to the Bible League.

Our Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma went to heaven to be with her Lord and Saviour on Sunday, November 18, 2007. Anna was born July 21, 1914 in Siberia. She will be fondly remembered for her generous spirit and unconditional love. She is survived by her six children: Mary (Henry) Loewen, Nita (Rudy) Dyck, Elnora (Henry) Martens, Ruth (Bill) Smolyn, Walt (Linda) Neufeld and Elaine (Charlie) Thiessen; 18 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and brother Henry Epp of Ontario. Anna will also be lovingly remembered by the family of George Peters, Vic and Eleanor Froese, Gerry and Margaret Reinhardt, Arnie and Ruth Peters and their families. She was pre-deceased by our Dad, Henry H. Neufeld in 1967 and her second husband George Peters in 1996.
There will be a celebration of Anna's life Friday, November 23 at 1:30 p.m. at Bakerview MB Church, 2285 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford. In lieu of ­flowers donations to Union Gospel Mission would be appreciated.

Mr. Arnold Bussler, late of Abbotsford, passed away on November 18, 2007 at the age of 59 years. He is survived by his mother Lydia and sisters Ella and Annette (Harold) Leyenhorst, as well as many nieces and ­nephews. He was pre-deceased by his father Arnold Bussler, who passed away in September, 1975.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 23, 2007 at 10:00 am at Zion Lutheran Church, 5950 - 179 Street, Surrey, BC with Brother Manfred Schmidt officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the BC Cancer Foundation.

Peter, born January 7, 1923 in Orenburg, Russia to Anna and John Block passed away at home in Abbotsford November 18, 2007. He is survived by Agnes, his wife of 60 years; 5 daughters, Carol (Dave) Briltz, Judy (Bill) Baron, Jeanne (Jim) Nichols, Linda (Frank) Krobath and Sandra (Mike) Klassen; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was pre-deceased by his parents, grandson Doran Hensley, brother David and ­sister Susie. Pete was a builder and developer by trade and built and operated Block’s Motel in Clearbrook from 1953 – 1969. He enjoyed his early retirement.
A service will be held Thursday, November 22, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Bakerview MB Church, 2285 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford. If friends wish, a donation in Pete’s memory to the Salvation Army would be appreciated.

Ernest, born Oct. 23, 1926, in Neidernsill, Austria, passing peacefully on Nov. 17 at the Christine Morrison Hospice in Mission, BC. Predeceased by wife Valentina (1988). Survived by son Greg (Gayle) and daughter Katherine (Merv); grandsons Matthew and Christopher; sister Sophie; brothers Joe and Walter and many nieces, nephews and friends.
"Ernie" was known by all to be a very caring, kind and compassionate person who was willing to give a helping hand to those in need. He will be remembered by his children and grand­children as a man who spent quality time with his family, thereby leaving them with many treasured ­memories. Ernie possessed great physical strength and abundant energy throughout his life, enjoying fishing, hiking, biking and tending to his beautiful roses.
Many thanks to the very supportive nursing staff and volunteers at the Christine Morrison Hospice.
At Ernie's request there will be no service. His ashes will be scatter­ed on the Vedder River where he spent many happy days fishing. A celebration of his life will be held on Dec. 1, 2007 at his home from 1:00 - 4:00. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Christine Morrison Hospice.

She is survived by her loving family; husband Cornelius; sisters Sarah (Abe) Siebert and Freda (John) Derksen; many nieces and nephews, Cornelius' family and many other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held Monday, June 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Clearbrook MB Church, 2719 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford. Woodlawn Mission Funeral Home, 7386 Horne Street, Mission on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jim Poelzer officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
