Redmond, Shawn Michael Phillip Saturday, 06 Sep 2008
Kitimat, BC
October 21, 1980 - September 6, 1999
We looked towards the clouds today
And for a moment saw your face
We wondered just where you have gone
with hope it’s a better place.
Did you show yourself to us today,
to tell us you’re alright
Or was it just a dream
Playing tricks upon our sights
We will always feel the void inside
Because you are not here.
But each new thought you send our way
Lets us know you’re near.
So until our journey nears its end
And we hear the angels sing,
We’ll face each new day as it comes
And live off the love you bring.
Always on our minds
Forever in our hearts Love Dad, Mom, Lynsey & families

Trach, Edward Larry Thursday, 28 Aug 2008
Kitimat, BC
January 14, 1940 - August 28, 2008
Ed passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 68 on August 28, 2008 at the Multi Level Care Facility in Kitimat, B.C. He is survived by his three children Kevin (Alicia), Jacqueline (Lee) and Donna (Brett). Ed was pre-deceased by his son Darryl in December 1994 and sister Francis in June 2008.
Also surviving Ed are his pride-and-joy grandchildren Madelyn, Michael Trach, Alanis, Brayden, Claire Marleau, Samuel and Gracie McLachlan; brothers Paul and Len; and sisters Mary and Verna; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Ed was a special man who battled with Multiple Sclerosis for nearly 40 years. Despite his physical limitations, he enjoyed his days to the fullest with his many hobbies and interests: fishing, hockey, gardening, dining out and most of all, spending time with his family. In his younger days, Ed worked as a Heavy Duty Mechanic at Alcan Aluminium Smelter until he went on long term disability. As a young Dad, he took his family camping, hunting, fishing and traveling. He enjoyed visiting his hometown of Dauphin, Manitoba as often as he could.
Our family was especially proud of Dad’s accomplishments involving the community. He was an advocate around Kitimat for improving accessibility for people with physical challenges. Dad was especially fond of the fishing ramp built at the Kitimat River for people with disabilities.
Dad will live on forever in the hearts of his loving family and many, many friends. We have found peace in knowing that Dad’s spirit has been released from his burdened body and he now has freedom and the fullest joy! God Bless you, Dad! We love you!
Our family thanks Dr. Mills and the nurses, staff and volunteers of the Multi-Level Care Unit for all their caring, compassion and friendship throughout the years. We also want to express a heartfelt thank you to all of our family and friends for their love, support, guidance, generosity and kindness during this time of loss and grieving.
If so desired, contributions can be made to the MS Society or the Multi-Level Care Unit in Kitimat, B.C.
