SCHELLENBERG, Katharina (Katie)
1929 - 2015
Katie was born in Rosthern, Saskatchewan, the fifth child of Russian
immigrants, Peter and Helena Driedger. As a young woman, she moved with her family from Saskatchewan to the Vancouver area where she met and married her husband George. They had eight children. Although she had limited opportunity to pursue a formal education, Katie was intellectually curious and a voracious reader. She enjoyed needlepoint, game shows and followed professional golf, especially the career of Tiger Woods. Katie is predeceased by her husband George (George the Cobbler, 2008), daughter Barbara (1965), parents (Peter, 1972 and Helena, 1977), sister Susanna Graf (2007), brothers Henry (1924), Peter
(2007), and Rudy (2007). Left to mourn are her surviving children: Kathryn, Christine Mason (Gary), Kenneth, Bruce, Stephen (Tina), David, and Patricia McKenna (Steve). She also leaves grandsons, Robert, Alexander, step-grandson, Cameron, sisters Helen Langston (Fred), Olga (Rudge) and many dear friends and members of the extended Driedger and Schellenberg families. Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, October 26th at Murrayville Cemetery. Donations are preferred, in lieu of flowers to the Alzheimer's Society.
KOLMAN, MICHAEL GORDON
1958 ~ 2015
It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Michael Gordon Kolman on October 21, 2015 at North Okanagan Hospice House, Vernon, British Columbia. Michael was born November 13, 1958 in Moosomin, Saskatchewan. He enjoyed boating, fishing and golfing. Michael was a very loyal and dedicated friend. He managed an oil rig and received many awards for safe operations of his oil rig. Michael will be forever loved and his memory cherished by his sister Elizabeth (Art) Dickoff, brother Frank (Lois) Baker, partner Gwen Gatzke and numerous nieces, nephews and many life long friends. He is predeceased by his parents Andrew & Bernice Kolman and his brother Ross Baker. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m Sunday October 25, 2015 at First Baptist Church (1406 32nd Avenue, Vernon, BC) with Pastor Dan Watt officiating. TOMKULAK, RHONDA JOAN

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rhonda Joan Tomkulak on Tuesday, October 20th, 2015. Rhonda was born in Hanna, Alberta on April 16th, 1947. She lived in Alberta until she met Phil in 1968.
Rhonda is survived by Phil, her husband of 46 years; three daughters: Lynn Tomkulak (Craig), Roxane Goreas (Doug), and Carol Tomkulak; two sisters, Debbie Smith (Al) and Ruby Straub; four brothers: Ray (Carol) Fox, John (Theresa) Fox, Mark Fox, Jim (Shawna) Fox; and four grandchildren: Clayton Tomkulak, Justin Tomkulak, Tim Taylor, and Travis Taylor.
The Celebration of Life Memorial Tea for Rhonda will be held on Friday, October 30th, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Tea Room of Pleasant Valley Funeral Home.

SEBOLSKY, DOUGLAS JOSEPH
1954 – 2015
In the early morning hours of Tuesday, October 20, 2015, Douglas Joseph Sebolsky passed away at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital at the age of 60 years. Doug was born in New Westminster, B.C. on October 28, 1954, son of Matthew and Edith Sebolsky.
Doug loved life and the many good times he had living it!! He truly enjoyed working at the mill and did so for 40 plus years. He missed his job a lot when he could no longer work because of his health. Doug was a hopeless romantic – he loved love story movies as well as westerns and especially Hawaii 5-O. Rita and Doug loved taking short road trips but their most favorite place of all was to visit Lethbridge. Many special memories were made there. Doug loved renovating the homes that he has lived in. He loved hamburgers but his most special love was for his two cats – Summer Dawn and Bo-Cephas.
Doug leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife, Rita; his son Christopher (Tiffany) and his daughter, Morgan. Also left is his beloved grandson, Walker Douglas Sebolsky as well as his sister and brothers; Audrey, Morris (Linda) and Larry (Terri). Doug also leaves many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers and many, many good friends. Doug was predeceased by his parents Matt and Edith Sebolsky and his sister Myra.
A Celebration of Doug’s life will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Mark Memorial Funeral Home, 2024 Industrial Road No. 2, Cranbrook. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Prostate Health, 19 – 9th Ave. S., Cranbrook, B.C. V1C 2L9.

LARMAND, LEO JOSEPH

Leo went to be with the Lord on October 20, 2015 at the age of 92. Leo will always be cherished by his beloved wife Therese of 71 years and 8 children: Roger (Fran) of Duncan, Bert of Duncan, John (Shona) of Campbell River, Louise (Robin) of Williams Lake, Carol (Greg) of Kelowna, Diane (Bruce) of Kelowna, Marie (Rob) of Princeton, Daniel (Wendy) of Williams Lake; daughter-in-law Cathy; 20 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Leo was predeceased by all nine of his siblings and in 2009 by his 3rd son John. Leo was born on October 21, 1922 in Zenon Park, SK to Joseph and Alexina Larmand. Leo was the youngest of 10 children. While growing up in Zenon Park, he met the love of his life, Therese. In 1943, they married in Victoria, B.C. where Leo worked as a faller.
In 1966, Leo moved his family to Kelowna and shortly after began a career with Inland Natural Gas. He retired in 1987 after 20 dedicated years of service. Leo and Therese with their servant hearts, never hesitated to help family, church and community. His joy in life was his family and serving God. Leo was a quiet, kind and gentle man whose actions spoke louder than his words. He was a role model to all who knew him. A special thank you from the Larmand family to Dr. Bobyn for his faithful dedication that always went above and beyond our expectations and to all the staff and nurses at Spring Valley Care Home for all their kindness and loving care of our Dad. Prayers will be recited on Thursday, October 22nd at 5:30 pm at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, 750 Rutland Road North, Kelowna, B.C. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 23rd at 10:30 am also at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church. Interment will take place at the St. Theresa’s Catholic Cemetery. TURNER (Linklater), Aldora Evelyn

It is with profound sadness and a “touch of relief” we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and big sister. Aldora “Dora” Evelyn Turner was born August 14, 1928 in Willmar, Saskatchewan, passed away October 19, 2015 in Langley B.C. Mom is lovingly remembered by three of her four children; Joanne (Harold), sons Jim & Don (Mieke). 6 grandchildren; Treena, Jennifer, Tracy, Jamie, Nicole and Michael; 3 great-grandchildren. Survived by her big brother Jim and little sisters Anne & Donna. Predeceased by her husband John Victor in December 1989 and her eldest son John Robert in April 2005. Moms career was as a medical record stenographer at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Dawson Creek, Langley Memorial Hospital and Peace Arch Hospital. Dora’s family came first, but she was a competitor at golf, curling and playing bridge. She always carried herself with class & elegance and was never a poor sport. Her happiest times were spent around friends and family. When you were her friend, you were her friend for life. A Celebration of her life will be held at Crescent United Church, 2756 – 127 Street, Surrey, B.C. on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the I.B.S. Research Group at St. Paul’s Hospital Vancouver, B.C.
Joseph "Joe" Aubrey "Ouzo Joe"
March 7, 1942 - July 27, 2010
Joe touched our hearts with his wonderful wit and sense of humour, his kind gentle spirit, and his love of sports, music, nature and all things innocent and beautiful.
He will always be remembered.
Joe is survived by his loving wife Diane Peterson Aubrey; his half-brother, Gary Aubrey; his half-sister, Marilyn Ledwon; his step-sons, Adam Lawrence and Josh Lawrence and his many close friends.

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Gordon Earl McMillan announces he passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home with his loving family at his side on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 72 years of age.
Gord is survived by his loving wife Linda; son Jamie; daughters, Tracy (Patrick) and Sandi (Peter); 10 grandchildren, his brother, Glen (Karen) and many relatives and friends.

Debra Ann Storey
October 3, 1954 - July 10, 2010
It is with profound sadness that we mourn the sudden passing of Debra Ann Storey, loving wife of over 41 years to Robert Storey.
Debra leaves behind 2 children: Cheryl Ann Storey and James Robert Storey; 5 grandchildren: Isaac and Wyatt Vincelette, Cordell, Tyra and Issabella Storey; 2 step-children: Rob and Melanie; 5 sisters: Sue, Pam, Janet, Gail and Jodie; 2 brothers: Danny and Brian and many nieces and nephews.
Debra was predeceased by her father Marty Cormier, her mother Joyce Lum and her mothers husband Dave Lum.
Debra was a very loving, kind and compassionate person to all who knew her.
Wherever Debra was, her husband was always by her side; one of her favourite pass times was camping with her grandchildren.
She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her.
A funeral service for Debra will be held at the Knox Presbyterian Church in Cranbrook on Monday, July 19, 2010 at 1:00 pm.

Phoebe Gwendolin Bridge
1927 - 2020
Phoebe Gwendolin Bridge, age 92, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2020.
Phoebe was born August 23, 1927 in Cranbrook, B.C., to Wilhemanine and Reginald Dyer.
She married Kenneth James Bridge, the love of her life, on April 30, 1947.
Phoebe loved to love people and enjoyed time with her family the most.
Her favourite saying was “Love you the mostest” and she did!
She loved spending time at the lake and made friends, wherever she went.
Phoebe is survived by her sons, Steve (Krista) Bridge, Henry Bridge, Ken (Karin) Bridge and daughter Sue Pettypiece, her six grandchildren Marcie (Eugene) Vega, Lisa Pettypiece, Candice (Sean) Archibald, Kenny Bridge, Chrissy (Cody) Kozinuk, Jenni (Ryan) Chadwick, six great-grandchildren, her brother Charles Dryer and many nieces and nephews.
Phoebe was predeceased by her loving husband in 2015, Kenneth James Bridge.
