The family of William Charles Walker of Stewart, B.C., are greatly saddened to announce his passing.
Bill passed away unexpectedly, at the age of 70, at Mills Memorial Hospital, in Terrace, on March 11, 2009.
He will be missed and always loved by his daughter, Carey (Darryl); his sisters, Lottie (Bob), Peggy (Ed), Alice (Mo), Bonnie (Calvin); and his brothers, Frank (Arlene), Gary (Anna) and many family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of B.C. or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
A service and celebration of Bill's life will be held on May 16, 2009 in Stewart, B.C.
Location and time will be announced at a later date.
Dorothy Theresa Hippisley
March 28, 1928 - March 7, 2009
Mom went to be with the Lord on March 7, 2009. Missed but not forgotten.

John George KUSTAS
September 17, 1936 - March 4, 2009
John passed away suddenly, March 4th at the age of 72, in Terrace.
Survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Eleanor; daughters, Sherri (Larry & family), Lauren and son, Michael; granddaughters, Elaina & Santrina.
Predeceased in 2002 by daughter, Lisa.
Memorial service was held March 10 at St. Matthew's Anglican Church, Terrace.
Interment of ashes followed, March 11, at Fairview Cemetery, Prince Rupert.
The family wish to thank all who have supported and comforted us during this time.
Johnny will be ever-remembered,

CHAPDELAINE, HENRI
Feb 11, 1948 to July 25, 2009
On July 25, 2009, Henri Jacques Chapdelaine of Prince George, B.C., passed away suddenly in St. Paul, at the age of 61 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Valarie; his children, Norman (Amanda) Chapdelaine of Campbell River, B.C., Denise Chapdelaine of Prince George, B.C., & Gerald Chapdelaine of Terrace, B.C.; step-children, Cory (Jacquie) Daumont of Red Deer, AB; Darcy Daumont of Terrace & Andrea Daumont of Prince George, B.C.; his 10 grandchildren; his father, Arthur Chapdelaine of St. Paul; siblings, Antoinette (Dennis) Magyar-Stokes of Edmonton, Robert (Elizabeth) Chapdelaine of Grand Bend, ON, Jeanette Newton of Calgary, Gloria (Billie) Hall of St. Paul, Julie (Leslie) Chapdelaine of Calgary, Eva Chapdelaine of Edmonton, Yvon (Helen) Chapdelaine & Estelle Chapdelaine both of St. Paul; brother-in-law, Peter Scharer of St. Paul; also numerous nieces & nephews.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Yvonne Chapdelaine (2005); mother, Leona Chapdelaine (1991); sisters, Claire Chapdelaine (1954) & Susan Scharer (2006); & brother-in-law, Mike Newton (2001).
In honoring of his wishes, no service will be held at this time.
Cremation has taken place and a family memorial will take place at a later date.
Taft, Emma
Feb. 27, 1923 - Jul 24, 2009
Emma Taft (nee Emma Ingrid Carolina Gustafson, Feb. 27, 1923) was the fourth of ten children born to Swedish immigrant parents.
Emma grew up in Avonlea, Sask., and worked at Caronport, Sask. for the air force, after graduating from high school.
Emma joined the army on April 20, 1944, served in Ottawa, St. John, and Regina, and was discharged from the army in Vancouver, on Sept. 11, 1946.
Emma loved her time in the army and spoke of it often.
Emma met and married Ray Taft in Vancouver.
Emma and Ray's first child, David, was born in Vancouver in 1950.
In 1951, Emma, Ray, and David moved to Terrace, Ray's hometown. Emma and Ray's two daughters were born in Terrace: Brenda (1953) and Wanda (1955).
Emma worked as a medical receptionist for Doctors Hicks and Boyd for many years.
Emma loved playing softball and golf.
Emma loved to bowl, play Bingo, and travel.
She also made excellent butter tarts.
After Ray died in 1993, Emma's health steadily declined.
In 2002, Emma reluctantly moved from her long-time home on Scott Ave. to the newly built McConnell Estate.
In May 2008, she moved to Terraceview.
Emma died on Friday, July 24th, 2009.
Emma is survived by her two sisters, Doris and Ruth, her son, David, her daughters, Brenda and Wanda, David's wife, Lorna, David and Lorna's son, Ewan, and daughter, Fiona, Fiona's husband, Jason, Fiona and Jason's son Julius, Brenda's husband, John, Brenda and John's daughter, Anne, and son, Jesse, Anne's fiance, Curtis, Wanda's husband, Eric, Wanda and Eric's sons Matthew, Soren, Ben, Adam, and Alex, Matthew's daughter, Kayla, and son, Jayden, Ben's wife, Liza, and Ben and Liza's daughter, Claire.
Much thanks to all the health care workers, institutions, and faithful friends who supported, helped, and cared for Emma in her final years.
Memorial service for Emma to be held at the Legion, Thu., Aug. 6/09, 1 p.m.
Bell, Jim
Sept 7, 1949 - July 22, 2009
Jim passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 22 from undetected lung cancer.
He is loved and missed by his daughter, Jessi, brothers, Allen (Kathy), Patrick (Dawn) and his many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life is to be held Sunday, August 8th, at the Terrace Rod and Gun Club, starting at 5 p.m.
