RANSOM, James Bruce
1921 - November 26, 2008
After 87 years of a full life and a short illness, Jim Bruce passed away at Campbell River Hospital.

After the war, they moved to Vancouver Island, where Jim worked in the forest industry.

Jim is survived by Leona, his wife of 65 years; son, Doug and wife, Carole; daughter, Pat of Sooke; grandson, Jason and wife, Krista; great-granddaughter, Baby Ayla, all of Campbell River.

She passed peacefully in her 89th year, with her granddaughter present.
When her parents pioneered from Wales, they landed in Cape Scott, and eventually migrated south to Victoria to reside.

They raised two children, Linda and William (Bill).
Their children married and gave them four grandchildren, whom they doted on.
Sleep-overs, camping, fishing, card playing and beachcombing were popular.
Their lives were always adventurous and fun.
In later years, they moved up to Campbell River, and when Victor passed on, she moved back to Victoria to be closer to her family.
Predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth (Rosser) and John C. Williams, sister, Marion and husband, Louis Prior, sister, Phyllis and husband, William Hill, brother-in-law, Ed Easton, and son-in-law, Richard Haas.

Loved ones remember her as a loving, feisty, flirty, sassy, tiny spitfire and often stubborn, hoot of gal who was always the life of the party.
Never to be caught going anywhere without her make-up and hairbrush, and always coordinating her outfits to match her purse and shoes. Church.
A memorial service will be held at the First Memorial Funeral Chapel in Victoria, on Saturday, November 29th, at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow.
