Clara passed away suddenly, to the grief of her family, on October 10, 2013, at the age of 81 years. She was born in Provost, Alberta, on June 25th, 1932, to Alfred and Jensine Angeltvedt (nee Tuft). A gold medalist in school and the Vice-President of the University of Alberta Student Union, she married Carl Hare in 1955. Their careers at university and in acting led them to live in several cities in England and Canada. In Victoria for twenty years, and in both in Edmonton and Kelowna for sixteen, she made many selfless contributions to those around her and to the community. She will be terribly missed by her daughter Moira, her children Emma and Nicholas and their father, Garnet; her son Donovan, his children Nathan, Dylan and Rachel and their mother, Ruth; and her son Kevin, his daughter Lucy and her mother Corinne. Although well known as an actor and teacher, she will be especially remembered for her herself; as many have said, a wonderful, warm, empathetic woman, vital, energetic, filled with such life, joy and love. A memorial and interment will take place in Provost, Alberta on Monday, October 21, at 1:00 p.m. at the Central Lutheran Church.
