Bud passed away peacefully in Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops, B.C. surrounded by family. He is survived by his loving wife Verna, daughter Linda (John) Wardrop, 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He will be forever missed & loved by family and friends. It is with great regret we announce the passing of our beloved brother Alex. Alex will be dearly missed by his parents Antoinette Archie and Ray Peters, as well as his siblings Ed, Denise, George, Gregory, Angela, Juanita and Owen. Alex had many, many friends and a very large extended family who will miss him dearly. Services were held May 10 at the Canim Lake Community Centre.

Passed away peacefully on Wed., June 25, 2003 at 100 Mile House at the age of 63. Don will be sadly missed by his loving family, wife Leanne, daughters Janis and Jennifer (Robert) and granddaughters Marisa and Natalie. He is also remembered by brothers Jim, Al, nieces, nephews and many friends. Don retired after 31 years of service with the Vancouver Fire Dept. Upon retirement in 1995 to Green Lake (Cariboo), he built his home on the lakefront, explored the outdoors on his snowmobile & ATV, enjoyed fishing and time in his workshop. Don was actively involved in the Green Lake Snowmobile Club, Trail Grooming Society, B.C. Snowmobile Federation, and was passionate about supporting the B.C. Lions Society for Children with Disabilities. A memorial service will be held Sat., July 5, 2003 at 11am at the Green Lake Snowmobile Club. In lieu of flowers, donations to the B.C. Lions Society for Children with Disabilities in Don’s memory is appreciated.

Kon passed away at home on June 22nd. Kon was born in Wilkie, Sask. He spent his youth on the prairies and then went to seek his fortune in B.C. He spent some time in Vancouver and then met his bride Kit in Nelson. The last 40 years, Kon lived the life of Riley in the Cariboo. Kon was an avid fisherman, great dancer, mighty gardener, master winemaker, honest (?) golfer and super storyteller. He was active in the Knights of Columbus, wore a mean tutu and could square dance ‘til dawn. Kon was a wonderful, loving husband and the best dad ever. We will miss you. Here is to a good golf score, green garden and great wine. Kon is survived by Kit, his loving wife; Lorraine (Larry) Gillespie, Cameron, Ryan; Pat (Jeff) Cheek, Steven; Donna (Ron) Gauld, Andrew and Michael. A service will be at 2pm, Thurs., June 26 at St. Jude’s Catholic Church on Horse Lake Rd., 100 Mile House. Reception to follow at the OAPO Hall in Lac la Hache. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

Brad passed suddenly on June 21, 2003 at 100 Mile House at the age of 16. He will be sadly missed by his mother Shawn Loos, sister Jody Loos; great-grandmother Doris McNabb; grandparents Tex and Joyce Renz; David and Annabell Hood; uncles Wade Loos and Ernest Loos; and many other friends and relatives. He was predeceased by uncles Leslie Loos and Bradley Loos. Brad attended school in 100 Mile House and Williams Lake. He enjoyed sports, camping, riding his BMX, and spending time with his family and friends. Brad, we all miss you and love you always.

Stan passed away in Kamloops Hospital on June 16, 2003. He was loved by his wife Gwen, three sons and their wives, grandchildren and great-grand children. A tea and open house for friends and family will be held at 5832 North Green Lake Rd., Sat., June 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to 100 Mile House District Hospital.
Roux, Thomas Merrill Friday, 31 Oct 2003
In great sadness, we announce the passing of Thomas Merrill (Tom) Roux. Tom was born in Powell River, B.C. April 27, 1949 and died at 100 Mile House, B.C. Oct. 31, 2003. He is survived by a loving family; wife, Linda; daughter Emmy (his pride and joy!); brother, Phil and sister-in-law Janet, nieces Becci and Natasha (and their families); brother Brian, niece Waneta, nephew Ryan (and their families); and stepmother Mariette (and her family) and dear friends. In 1970, Tom moved to the 108 Ranch and enjoyed a 33 year career in real estate. Also, for the past decade, he pursued a business venture in the Bella Coola Valley. He had many interests and served his community as a member of the Kinsmen Club and a coach and president of the Minor Hockey Association. Tom loved the great outdoors. Indeed, some of his best days were spent hunting and fishing in the area. We wish him good luck as he ventures into new territory! A celebration of Tom's life will be held on Sat., Nov. 8, 2003 at the 108 Community Hall at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the local SPCA or Cancer Society would be appreciated. The name's French, but the traditions are Irish - a wake will follow at the Farrier Pub!
