Jack Raymond Haywood
February 8, 1930 - September 20, 2008
After a courageous battle with cancer, Jack went to the “Big Round Up in the Sky.”
Jack will be greatly missed by his loving wife Georgina, his children Linda (Marvin) Higgins, Michael (Carol), Barbara (Marvin) Lingelbach, and Penny (Chub) Robillard; step children Jacki, Herbert and Sherry; 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, sister Nora (Robert) Turner, brother Eric (Lorraine), and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Mary Haywood, daughter Darlene, and two brothers, George and Douglas.
Jack was born and grew up in Kamloops. In his younger years he worked in ranching and spent many days chasing wild horses on Pavilion Mountain. As time went on, Jack drove truck and spent many days on the road and later drove an Ore Truck for Highland Valley Copper until he retired at the age of 68.
Jack’s family was very important to him and he enjoyed a full life going to or watching the rodeo on TV, golfing with his friends and square dancing, which was where he met Georgina. They were married at St. John’s Strawberry Hill United Church in Surrey. He also enjoyed travelling to many places in Canada and the US to Square Dance. At the time of his passing his family was present at his side.
Jack’s family would like to thank Dr. J.F. Howe & Dr. Mavis Hollman and the wonderful, caring staff at the Hospice.
A Celebration of Jack’s life will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at the Mount Paul United Church, 140 Laburnum St., with Reverend Drake Boyd officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Jack’s name to the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice Home, 72 Whiteshield Cr., South, Kamloops B.C. V2E 2S9.

JEAN MARGARET NEAL
February 19, 1941 - October 4, 2008
Jean Margaret, beloved mother, grandmother and friend, passed away suddenly on October 4, 2008 at the age of 67 years. Jean will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends; son Michael (Brenda), daughter Cindy (Keith), grandchildren Leah, Connor and Nicole; brothers Alfred (Marg), Richard (Judy), and Robbie (Julianne).
Mom was born in Cartwright, Manitoba on February 19, 1941 and moved to Prince George before settling with her family in Kamloops in 1966. Mom dedicated her life to her family. She was so much a part of their lives, influencing the people they grew to be. Mom loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, especially during Christmas, family dinners and summers at the lake. The trip across B.C. and Alberta with her brother Alf and Marg, and visiting her brother Rick was the highlight of her summer. She particularly enjoyed the family trip to Mexico, showing that once you got her out, she was so much fun. Mom took great pride in the achievements of her family and was always there to lend a helping hand.

Jean Winifred Boose
August 8, 1931 - October 6, 2008
Jean Winifred Boose of Kamloops passed away on October 6, 2008 at 77 years of age.
Jean was born in Dunnville Ontario on August 8, 1931 and moved to B.C. in 1963 with her husband and family. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Lloyd Boose; sons Bob (Sue) Boose, Gerry (Laura) Boose, and Tim (Laurette) Boose, all of Kamloops; grandchildren Mike (Christine), Clint (Karen), Corey, Christopher, Stephen, and Andy (Amy) Boose; great-grandchildren Jamie, Zachery, Treydan, and Darrell Boose; and her sister Marian (George) Oxley.
She was predeceased by her parents and three brothers, all from Ontario.
The Funeral Service will take place at 3:00 pm on Thursday, October 9, 2008 in the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Vern Frudd officiating. Following the service, Jean will be laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery.

Darlene Helen McDonal passed in her dream place of Kamloops on October 20th, 2008 at 65 years of age. She was born in Edmonton on February 10, 1943
She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Ross Lowery; her children Lynn McGillivray (Gerald) of Calgary AB, Glen McDonal of Gibbons AB, Sharlene McDonal of Edmonton AB, and Joseph Lowery; and grandchildren Scott, Kyle, Kyla, Colin, Nicole, Dylan, Briana, Destiny, and Amanda. Darlene will be sadly missed by her sisters Donna and Debbie, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Helen and Russell Dembiske.
Darlene had many loving friends throughout her life, she touched them all in her own special way and loved each and every one dearly. There are too many to list, but you know who you are.
A Memorial Run will be announced at a later date. Donations in Darlene’s memory may be made to your local animal shelter, in lieu of flowers.

Helen Pavoll of Kamloops passed away quietly at Royal Inland Hospital on October 22, 2008.
She is survived by her daughter Faye Weiss (John), daughter in-law Susan Pavoll and son Wayne of Revelstoke, and son Lorne Bradley (Lynn) of Burnaby. Helen will also be missed by her grandchildren Ben, Tyler (Nadine), Shawn (Coralea), Sheila (Doug), Nicole & Chelsea, and great-grandchildren Michael, Trevor, Wyatt, and Ty.
She was predeceased by her husband Pete, son Lance, sister Joyce and brother Donald.
Helen was born in 1924 at Metiskow, Alberta. She raised her family in Revelstoke and moved on to Prince George for 30 years before settling in Kamloops for the last few years.
She valued her extended family first and foremost; but also enjoyed her super tidy house and yard, a car ride to almost anywhere, and a cribbage game anytime.
As a mother and friend, she will be greatly missed.
The Funeral Service will be held in the Kamloops Funeral Home on Monday, October 27, 2008 at 3:00 pm, with Pastor Andrew Picklyk officiating. Viewing will be held prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:45 pm.

In Loving Memory of Mary Ellerton. Born August 16, 1928
On October 27, 2008 and with family at her side, Mary Ethel Ellerton passed away peacefully at Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home.
Mary is survived by sons James (Theresa) Ellerton of Crowsnest Pass, AB, Carl (Lise) Ellerton of Fort McMurray, AB, Calvyn (Cleo) Ellerton of Fort McMurray, AB and daughter Diane (Fred) Legace of Kamloops, B.C. Mary also leaves sisters Elsie Preston and Hazel Gillett both of Kirkland Lake, ON and brother Robert Draper of Surrey, B.C. Also are 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Mary was born in Englehart, ON and resided in that area until 2004 when she came to Kamloops to be near her daughter. Mary had a great many friends and acquaintances who learned to count on her for many of life's needs. She made friends easily and will be missed by a great many people for her warmth and easy charm.
The family request that any expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home 72 Whiteshield Cresent South, Kamloops, B.C. V2E 2S9 in memory of Mary Ellerton. The staff made Mary's last days a comfort to the surviving family.
At Mary's request a graveside service for her cremated remains will be held in Englehart, ON in the summer of 2009.
Edward Dembicki
August 25, 1935 - November 4, 2008
It is with sad hearts that we announce the death of our husband and father, Edward Dembicki on November 4th, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Ed is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Fay, daughters Myrna, Susan, Debbie, Beverly (Robert), grandchildren Teresa Marie, Matthish, Attalia, Jacob Olen, as well as sisters Pauline and Mary Ann. He was predeceased by his first wife Charlotte, brothers Gene, Karl, Bill and Joe.
Ed spent most of his working years with the railway until his retirement in 1990. He will be remembered for his sense of humour and his genuine kindness by all who knew him.
Special thanks to Dr. Mavis Hollman and the compassionate staff at Hospice House.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 8th at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 260 Leigh Rd., Kamloops, B.C.
