Linda Maureen Saville
August 4th, 1950 – April 27th, 2010
Linda was Promoted to Glory April 27th, 2010 at Kamloops Hospice House at the age of 59 years.
She is survived by her loving husband Al Saville, her mother Nora Beatty, and her four children, Shirley, Annette, Tim and Amanda, five grandchildren, Amanda, Vanessa, Annyssa, Rebecca and Keenan, and one great-granddaughter Tarynne. Also left to mourn her passing is one brother Roger, sisters Nadine, Laura-Jean and Susan, as well as numerous other relatives. She was predeceased by her father Lawrence Beatty and brothers Mervin and Jimmy.
Linda loved her family, career and travelling with her husband. Whatever she did, she put her heart and soul into it, whether it was Avon, ACT, Royal Canadian legion and/or whatever volunteer group she chose to join.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 5th, 2010 in the Salvation Army Community Church, 344 Poplar St., Kamloops, B.C.

MONTY LEW ALDOFF
July 2, 1960 – April 29, 2010
It is with sadness in our hearts that we regret to announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, son and brother, Monty. Though we miss him desperately, we know Monty is at peace with his saviour and is dancing with the angels.
Monty is survived by his loving wife Penny and his children Landon, Chance & Elijah, who loved him deeply. He will also be missed by his mother Marlene, brother Michael (Heather), sister Marla (Bob), mother in-law Lucy (John), sister in-law Renel, brother in-law Terry (Shawna), and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Mike and brother Miles.
Monty was born in Lethbridge, Alberta. The family moved from there to Fort St. John B.C. and then settled in Kamloops when Monty was 10 years old. He grew up in Kamloops and then followed his father into the profession of auctioneering and car sales. Eventually, Monty undertook Mission Work, travelling the world to share the Gospel. Monty and Penny raised their family here in Kamloops. Monty was an amazing father who was very proud of his three sons.
A Celebration of Monty’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 7, 2010 in the Bible Truth Church, 1099 Fraser St., Kamloops, with Pastor Andrew Picklyk officiating.
In lieu of flowers, a Trust Fund is being set up for Monty’s youngest son Elijah.

Hubert Brugger
September 27, 1920 - December 13, 2007
Hubert Brugger of Kamloops, B.C. passed away on December 13th, 2007 at the age of 87. Left to cherish his memory are his loving children Michael (Jacquie) Brugger of Lac Le Jeune, Carl (Cathy) Brugger of Kamloops, Ralph Brugger of Lac Le Jeune, and Thomas (Doris) Brugger of Chilliwack. Also left with fond memories are his precious grandchildren Dustin, Paul, Mathew, Hayley, Celeste, Nicole, Leslie, Kelsey, Adam, Samantha and Eric, his brothers and sisters of Germany, Werner, Steve, Alfonz, Agnus and Margret. Hubert was predeceased by his wife Elfriede in 2003.
Hubert and his wife, Elfriede immigrated to Canada and settled in the Kamloops area in the early 1950’s. His first few years were spent raising his family of four boys who he was so proud of and dedicated his life to. Most of their week-ends and holidays were spent enjoying their cabin at Lac Le Jeune. Hubert worked for the Ministry of Transportation for 27 years and retired in 1981. He also spent many hours tending to his collection of tropical fish.
In April of 2003, Hubert and Elfriede moved into the Berwick on the Park, which they both thoroughly enjoyed. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Leung and staff and all the staff at the Berwick on the Park for their caring and kindness during our time of need.
A Service of Remembrance will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 18th, 2007 in the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel, 285 Fortune Drive, Kamloops, B.C.

KETTY RASMUSSEN (nee LJUNGDALH)
September 24, 1920 - May 17, 2010
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom and Grandmother, Ketty Rasmussen. She is survived by her loving daughter Sonja (Lorne) Robson, sons Jack (Tracy) Rasmussen and Bjarne (Paula) Rasmussen. Ketty will be greatly missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband Verner, sons John and Fred, daughter in-law Gloria, and granddaughter Mindy.
Viewing will take place on Monday, May 24, 2010 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm in the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 1110 Gladwin Drive, North Vancouver.
A Celebration of Ketty’s life will take place at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 in Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Following the service, Ketty will be laid to rest in the North Vancouver Cemetery.

Michael Melnechuk
March 16, 1919 - May 15, 2010
Michael Melnechuk of Kamloops passed away on May 15, 2010 at 91 years of age.
His memory will always be treasured by his children Michele Melnechuk, Mary Melnechuk and David Melnechuk, all of Kamloops; grandchildren Lee Watson, Kyla Ayres and Kiera Ayres; great-grandson Kolten Michael Watson; brothers and sisters Pete, Nick, Doris, Terry, Irene and Anne; and hundreds of other members from our very close family. He was predeceased by his wife Mac Melnechuk, son Allan Melnechuk, brothers Bill, Alec and Fred, and sister Kyleen.
Mike came to the Kamloops area in his early twenties, prospecting for gold and he then joined the Rocky Mountain Rangers. After training, he was sent to England to fight with the Calgary Highlanders in the Second World War. He fought in France as a Corporal, was injured and returned to England to serve out the remainder of the conflict. Mike stayed active in the military and he was called upon once again to defend Canada during the Korean War. He retired from the Service in 1968 as a Captain. Mike then started a fencing company which his daughter took over upon his retirement. He lived a very full life and was very involved with his family whom he loved dearly.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to everyone at the Ponderosa Lodge.

Barbara Susan McCaig
December 27, 1937 - May 19, 2010
Barbara Susan McCaig of Kamloops passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 72 years of age. She is survived by her loving husband David, daughter Despina Papparis, son John (Collinda) Kefalidis, stepsons Vaughn (Kim) McCaig, Roy (Carol) McCaig, and Reverend Father Scott McCaig; grandchildren Chloe & Alexandra Papparis, Jason & George Kefalidis, Kara, Lisa, Erica, Ryan, Evan and Lauren McCaig; two brothers and four sisters, and many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
We will always remember her laughter, smiles, caring and love. How gracious she was and how very energetic! She always had an ear, a hug, wise words, delicious food, and a smile for all who came to see her. Barb could do anything, from fishing (better than David!) to plumbing to haute couture. Although she worked at, and mastered, many things in her life, her greatest accomplishment was her family. Throughout her difficult illness she never lost her smile. Barb always made the best of any situation.
Barb/Mom/Grandma will always be in our hearts,
forever loved, cherished and remembered.
The family would like to thank the caregivers and nurses at Ponderosa Lodge, where she spent the last year. Thank you also to the staff at Hospice and to Dr. Thomasse for their care of Barb.

Annette Joyce Lupasko
January 6, 1954 - May 29, 2010
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we must announce the passing of Annette Joyce Lupasko on May 29, 2010 at the age of 56. She is survived by her mother Alma Lupasko, brothers Richard (Shelley) of Grande Prairie and Douglas (Pamela) of Kamloops, loving nephew Adam Lupasko of Kamloops, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her father Frank Lupasko and nephew Ian Lupasko.
Annette was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario in 1954 and spent her childhood in the little town of Upsala. In 1972 Annette visited her brother Doug in Kamloops. She loved it here so much that she made Kamloops her home. Annette was a much loved Home Support Worker as she enjoyed helping others, Due to health concerns her career was cut short in 2001. For the last nine years she kept her spirits high and smiles bright, even though she was ill. She had many friends but especially loved to spend time with her nephew Adam and his friend Aaron. Annette took great pride and dedication in Family, Friends and her pets. There will be no formal service.
She will be loved by all and remembered forever
