Lillian Joyce May (Mitchell) Rokstad
July 17, 1928 - April 9, 2010
Lillian Rokstad passed away peacefully on Friday, April 9, 2010 surrounded by family at McKenzie Place in Grande Prairie, Alberta at the age of 81. Lil was born on July 17, 1928 in Miniota, Manitoba. She raised nine children and worked at the Bulkley Valley Hospital for 21 years. Lil was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and a loyal friend dedicated to helping others. Lil will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was a source of inspiration for all and was full of generosity, caring, and love. Lil is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bernard Rokstad and her children; Barb (Wilf) Fuerst, Gloria (Randy) O’Brien, Donna (Tom) Leach, Bernie (Jeanne) Rokstad, Vicky Rokstad, Sherry (Rob) Piel, Colleen (Stubbs) Watson-Rokstad, Chuck (Lori Watt) Rokstad, Bonnie (Rick) McDonald and nineteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Lil is also survived by her brother Jim (Linda) Mitchell of Mississauga, Ont and predeceased by her mother Effie (Mclean) Mitchell (born in Calandar, Ontario), father Charles Gordon Mitchell (born in Leslie, Aberdeenshire Scotland), one sister and four brothers.
The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the St. John’s United Church in Clinton, B.C. There will be a graveside service to follow and everyone is welcome.

ROSSI, Cabrielo "Gabe"
October 28, 1954 - February 1, 2010
ROSSI, Cabrielo "Gabe" died suddenly on Monday, February 1, 2010 at the age of 56. Survived by his loving daughter Morgan Rossi of Langley, his brothers Tony (Marie) of Sherwood Park, AB, Frank (Susan) of Kamloops, Luigi (Wendy) of Nevada, his sisters Santina (Lino) Punis of Burns Lake, Maria (Gordon) Ridgewell of Kelowna, Brigida (Michael) Reimer of Calgary, nieces Gina Strimbold, Deanna Mercier, Amber Andrew, Tina Rossi, Alicia Ridgewell, Meghan Reimer, Leanne Bahar & Kelcey Watts, nephews Marco Punis, Duane Rossi, Rick Rossi, Sam Rossi, David Ridgewell and numerous great nieces and nephews. Gabe was born in Kamloops, and grew up there, he worked for Weyerhaeuser Pulp Mill for 15 years and then moved into Real Estate for 10 years. He left Kamloops to live in Langley where he worked through Millworks Union so that he could be closer to his daughter, Morgan, she was his life. Gabe also loved spending time with friends and family, and sharing a joke. He will be sadly missed. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2010 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Colombo Hall, 814 Lorne Street, Kamloops, B.C. Patricia Faulkner
March 7, 1939 – April 12, 2010
Patricia Faulkner of Kamloops passed away on April 12, 2010 at 71 years of age.
She is survived by her loving husband Jim Faulkner, son Ian (Kathy) Patch of Kamloops, Wendy (Jake) McGill of Hamilton ON, and Lisa (Steve) Patch of Calgary AB; grandchildren Steven, Andrew, Kevin, Josh, Daniel, Allie and Carly; her brother Fred Pye (Eleanor); her great friend Jo; and numerous friends and family. Predeceased by her son Stephen.
Pat was born in Victoria and moved to Kamloops 14 years ago to be closer to family. She loved the Farmer’s Market and one of her great joys was to sell KIP’s Kettle Corn at the market with her son Ian and daughter in-law Kathy. Pat loved her family and friends and her music. She was well loved in return and will be greatly missed.

Rick Maio
March 13, 1958 - April 13, 2010
After a courageous battle with cancer, we lost our dear husband, father, son and friend, Rick Maio, on Tuesday, April 13, 2010.
His memory will always be cherished by his loving wife Orpha, children Logan Maio, Spencer Maio, and Syndey Maio all of Kamloops, and Josh and Diane Chartier of Grande Prairie, Alberta; his best buddy, Cruiser; his mother Norma Maio and mother in-law Edwina Logan; sister Lilianna Maio of Nelson BC; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his father Vincenzo Maio.
Rick was born in Vernon on March 13, 1958. He graduated from Norkam in 1976 and completed his Post Secondary Education in Kamloops and Vancouver, thus starting his illustrious career as a Non Destructive Testing Technician. He worked for Coast Testing and Shaw Pipeline which allowed him to travel to many places in the world. Rick was also a pilot and he once flew to Alaska, camping in the wilderness right beside his plane. Rick met the love of his life, Orpha, in 1979 and together they had two sons and a daughter. As a family they travelled, boated and camped, making many wonderful memories.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to Dr. Hamilton, Dr. Taylor, Dr. Chevallier, Dr. Leko, and the staff at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice Home.
Friends and family are invited to an open house Celebration of Rick’s life that will take place from 2:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday, April 18, 2010 in the Kamloops Funeral Home Tea Room.

Elmer Percy Moffat of Kamloops passed away on April 15, 2010 at 83 years of age.
He leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

Leah Dawn Styles
September 4, 1965 - April 17, 2010
It breaks our hearts to announce the sudden passing of Leah Dawn Styles nee Gawdun on Saturday, April 17th 2010.
Leah was born on September 4, 1965 in Calgary, AB. She moved to Kamloops, B.C. in 1970 and graduated from Kamloops Senior Secondary in 1983. She continued to reside in Kamloops most of her life.
Leah was a beautiful seamstress and her crafts added so much warmth to our homes.
Decorating was her passion. She was a kind, sensitive and loving person. Leah’s three sons always held a special place in her heart. Her family and close friends will always remember her sense of humour and her beautiful smile.
She will be sadly missed by her three sons Anthony, Jonathan and Dario Sirianni, her parents Fred and Arlene Gawdun, her siblings Dean (Nicky) Gawdun, Kim Banner, Rhonda (Brian) Kardelis, Keith Gawdun and husband Ivan Styles. She will also be remembered by her birth father Bob (Loretta) Radu of Arizona.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 26th, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. in the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel at 285 Fortune Drive, Kamloops, B.C.

GIUSEPPA “PINA” TULLIANI
September 19, 1923 - April 20, 2010
Giuseppa “Pina” Tulliani of Kamloops passed away peacefully on April 20, 2010 at 86 years of age. She is survived by her loving son Giulio, and predeceased by her parents Giuseppe and Geltrude.
Giuseppa was born in Anagni, Italy. At a very early age she lost both of her parents and was taken care of by her grandmother until the age of six. She then entered an orphanage in Rome and lived there until she was eighteen. Coming out of the orphanage and into war ravaged Rome, she worked as a secretary and then as a nanny in Sicily. There she met her future husband Francesco. They moved to Canada in 1967 and settled first in Louis Creek and then in Kamloops in 1972, where she remained. Giuseppa enjoyed cooking, gardening, taking long walks, reading, crossword puzzles, and she loved animals.
Pina will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will take place from 6:30 – 8:00 pm on Monday, April 26, 2010 in the Rosewood Room at Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Drive.
The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Reverend Father Peter Hoan Nguyen officiating. Following the service, Pina will be laid to rest in the Sage Valley Mausoleum.

Florence Doreen Mitchell
July 29, 1942 - April 22, 2010
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Doreen from Chase/Kamloops at the age of 67. Survived by her daughters Lenore (Jim) Mitchell of St Albert AB, Yvonne Mitchell of North Vancouver B.C., and Susan (Russ) Rowe of Kamloops B.C., grandchildren, Caleb, Logan, Calvin and Katlynn, brother George and sisters Joyce, Pearl and Rose. Her other relatives Gill, Janet, Mary-Jo, Tamara, Annie and many family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Doug and her sister Jean.
Doreen was born in Minnedosa Manitoba. She lived in Brandon, Winnipeg, Kamloops and Chase. She enjoyed country living and long walks with her beloved dogs. Doreen also looked forward to having lunches with her family and friends. She has touched the lives of many people and animals and will be dearly missed.
Special thanks to all emergency service personnel, Reverend Viktor Gundel and the staff at Royal Inland Hospital.
