KYLE - Christina Margaret passed away on Monday, February 28, 2000, at the age of 87 years. She is survived by her children Denis & Jeannie Culbert, Joan & Kip Dosanj, Jean & Steve Halowski, Kay and Joe Mihalech; her grandchildren Cindy (Eric) Culbert, Marcie Culbert, Patrick (Vivian) Halowski, Renee (Brad) Wilcox, Kevin Halowski, Tracy Dosanj, Kim Halowski, Kelly Mihalech, Sherry Dosanj, Aaron Mihalech; great grandchildren Christyna Culbert, Nicholas Mihalech, Samantha Halowski; sisters Annie Bloor and Sara Jean Buckle; brother Charles (Claudette) Mckay; and a large extended family. A Memorial Service will be held at Grace International Baptist Church, 7650 Jasper Crescent, Vancouver, BC on Friday, March 3, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. Our thanks to Windermere Care Centre for their loving care. HAWKE - Margaret June. Our "Margie" passed away suddenly at her home in Surrey on December 10, 2000 at the age of 77. "Today we lost a very giving lady". Margie will never be forgotten by her sons Bill and Ferg (Cheryl) and daughter Noni; her grandchildren Carter and Connie of whom she was so very proud. Her sisters May and Glenda; brothers Rod and Ken, and lots of wonderful nieces and nephews. LAYFIELD - Harold Scott passed away on December 4th, 2000. Born Cheshire, England on January 25th, 1909. Emigrated to Canada in 1911 aboard the Lusitania. Living in Winnipeg until 1940 and was married there to Yvonne Graham in that year. Harold was transferred to Vancouver and worked there until 1957 at which time he was transferred to Burlington, Ont. In 1973 he retired to Langley, B.C. where he lived until 1994. He then resided on Saltspring Island, B.C. until his passing. Harold is survived by his wife of 60 years, Yvonne; his daughters Stephanie Bond (Malcolm) and Franki Johnstone (Andrew); and grandchildren Harold (Julie), Andrew, Sarah, Steffan, Emily Bond and Benjamin Johnstone. Harold was a man of many talents. He started his work with the Grain Exchange in Winnipeg but in the 1930's he transferred to the Bonar and Bemis Company where he worked until retiring in 1974. He started and then managed the Machinery Division for Bemis from 1957 until 1973. His work took him to many parts of the U.S., Canada and Europe servicing the machinery needs of the many Bemis packaging plants and their customers. He was a member of the United Airlines Red Carpet club having logged over 1,000,000 miles with United. In private life Harold enjoyed target shooting, especially as a member of the Coast Marksmen, Golf (serving as Captain of the Burlington Golf and Country Club), photography, and many home repair projects for friends and neighbours. Private service will be held later. Those wishing to remember him may send a donation to the B.C. Cancer Society.

MacLEOD - Audrey Anne passed away at Royal Inland Hospital December 7, 2000 in her 70th year. Audrey is survived by her loving companion Andrew Conley; her brother John Shaw and his wife Sally; her son Bruce MacDonald and his wife Francesca and grandson Richard and granddaughter Tammy; and her daughter Debbie MacDonald; her daughter Janice Arthur and grandsons Ryan and Robert and granddaughter Natasha; her daughter Cynthia Simmons and her husband Jack with grandson Todd, his wife Courtney and great-grandson Jackson and granddaughters Marlee and Chelan; her son Ross MacDonald and granddaughter Sierra and grandson Dillon; her three stepsons Rod Husdon, Mark Husdon and Brad Husdon. She will be sorely missed by her family and many friends. After cremation there will be a memorial service for family and friends to pay their respects early in the new year in the Lower Mainland. No flowers by request of the family. Those who wish, may make a donation to the Heart and Stroke Fund in her name.

MILLER - Lillian passed away peacefully December 10, 2000 at Delta Hospital, Delta, B.C. Born April 12, 1913, she lived in Winnipeg until moving to White Rock, B.C. in 1985 with her husband, Sid, who predeceased her in 1992. Lil is survived by daughter Marilynn (and her husband Roy) Stover of Edmonton; son Curtis (and his wife Helen) of Surrey, B.C.; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She wintered in Weslaco, Texas and made many friends there until she suffered a massive stroke December 1995. Marilynn and Roy Stover continue to winter at the same park. A memorial service will be held at Magic Valley Trailer Park, 2300 East Hwy 83, Weslaco, Texas on Sunday, December 17. Lil was grateful for the care and activities at Delta E.C.U. Donations to the Delta Hospital Auxiliary or the Alzheimer's Society of Canada would be appreciated.
