HORNE - Reginald Manning, age 82, passed away on May 5, 2000 at St. Mary's Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Survived by his loving wife, Evelyn Allison. JOHNSTON - Herbert William passed away peacefully April 22, 2000 in Maple Ridge at the age of 83. He is predeceased by son Fredrick. He is survived by wife Decima; two sons, William (Kelly) and Leonard; one daughter, Kathryn (Gregg) Carpenter; one grandson Liam; and sister Margaret Laity. Herbert operated a farm in Maple Ridge for many years and was a member of Queen of the Valley Loyal Orange Lodge #3113. He will be lovingly remembered by all. Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2000 at Saint John the Divine Anglican Church, 21299 River Road, Maple Ridge. JORDISON - Wilfred (Bud) passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital April 6th, 2000. This world was a better place for his arrival (March 26, 1930). He blessed us with his presence for 70 years and will be missed more than he will ever know. MICHELL - Mary Eleanor Brooke Michell (Coles), nee Lindsay. Mary died peacefully at her home, as was her wish, on Wednesday, May 3rd, 2000. Daughter of Captain Lionel and Joan Lindsay, she was born in Kamloops in 1913. Caught in Simonstown, Cape Provinces (South Africa) on their way to Australia by the outbreak of War in 1914, they stayed for four years. After the war they returned to Canada and she went to Crofton House School in Vancouver and the Vancouver School of Art. After graduation she taught art in Kamloops and married Edward P. Coles of Monte Creek. They retired to a small farm overlooking Celista. In 1966 they moved to Salmon Arm and Mary became actively involved in the Altar Guild of St. John's Anglican Church and the Shuswap Hospital Auxiliary. In 1994 at the age of 81 she married J.S. "Jack" Michell and they had four happy years together. She was predeceased by her parents and husbands Edward and Jack. She is survived by her sister Anne of Bastion Place (Salmon Arm); her dear friend Rowena Morrell and numerous cousins in Canada and England. The funeral service was held in St. John's Anglican Church, Salmon Arm on Monday, May 8th with The Reverend Ted Celiz officiating. Interment of the cremated remains will take place in Mount Ida Cemetery at a later date. If so desired contributions in Mary's memory may be made to a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Bowers Funeral Home, Salmon Arm.

BACH - Wilfred Ernest, born May 31, 1917, passed away June 16, 2000, into the arms of our Lord. Affectionately known as "Uncle Wolfy" he will be greatly missed and always lovingly remembered. Wilfred served overseas in WWII. He is survived by his sisters Edith, Vie and Marg; brother Kayo; and many nieces and nephews. BEDDOW - Tony fought a courageous battle but passed away peacefully on June 16, 2000 at St. Paul's Hospital. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lori; sister Stella (Doug) and their children Chris, Kim, and Kelly; brother Alan (Lynda) and their children Jason and Mavis as well as other family members. Tony worked in the optical business for many years and he will be greatly missed by the people he worked with. The family wishes to thank the dedicated doctors and nursing staff of the Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit. Special thanks to Sue Mortimer and Bill Hryhor. BERARDINO - Mary passed away peacefully on June 18th, 2000, at UBC Hospital, age 87 years. She was known to all as "May". Predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Jack Elario, who died on December 26th, 1989. She was also predeceased by 5 brothers, John, Lewis, William, James and Thomas, 4 sisters, Margaret, Bella, Nellie, and Grace. She is survived by her son Bill, daughter-in-law Margot, her grandchildren, spouses, and great-grandchildren, Corolyn (Dean), Anne, John (Karen) and Frances, as well as many relatives in B.C. and the USA. May wished to thank her relatives and friends whose visits, cards, words of support gave her great comfort and encouragement, particularly in recent months. The family extend sincere thanks to Dr. N. James and the nurses and staff of Wards 2A and 2B at UBC Hospital. At May's request there will be no service. A private family interment will take place at the family plot in Ocean View Cemetery.
